@@CalmDownShh Well you do have a point. However the Tahoe/Suburban is more premium looking and also has a great brand identity for the type of vehicle. Having said that, the Durango doesn’t compete with the Suburban but rather the Chevy Traverse, in which case the Durango is the better option.

McIntosh is a super high end audio company. I remember they had a 100k setup at CES 10 years ago. If you haven't heard about it, it's because it's all out of our price ranges. You can see the super expensive system in an episode of Mr.Robot, when the break in a super nice appartement
McIntosh is probably the highest end audio maker from the United States and supplied the sound systems for all three Woodstock’s as well as some of the most legendary concert venues of all time including those in my own living room. Well worth it.
The night vision is not blocked during the day on all the modern BMWs. I use it exactly for the same purpose, looking at the brakes or checking which hoses are isolated badly.
All these years of neglecting the 3.6L are getting noticed, the DI, turbo and twin-turbo versions of the Pentastar never happened. 10 years have passed since Jeep launched an all new Grand Cherokee, and the 3.6 and 5.7 still make the same amount of power they did in 2011.
First went looking for a Grand Cherokee, but found myself in Mercedes territory before long. Bought a GLC 300. Long story. More to the point: I saw part of your interview expressing dismay at some other reviewers. They try to be funny and entertaining when the car should be the star. Beside, for all intents and purposes one of them is British and the other American. Your channel is more organic.Far superior!
Fantastic car! Just got them at my dealership. For anyone looking at these if you are interested in the Overland with the Luxury package just get a Summit! Basically the same cost but the summit looks 100x better imo. The overland is the ugliest of all the trims imo with that chrome mouth guard and sideways toe hooks.
Just bought my L Altitude Tech Package this week. Love it. The blacked out everything is very nice, power is fine for city driving in San Antonio, and I can finally take my 17 year old, 2 year old, two dogs, and girlfriend on a vacation. It rides great, feels very luxurious. Highlights: it’s quiet, smooth, breaks are terrific, steering feel is heavy but good, captains chairs are comfortable, and the wireless CarPlay is awesome. Dislikes: piano black needs to die. They give you a microfiber wipe in the manual bag. Also the stalks for turn signal and wipers are SUPER cheap feeling. I also prefer the last generation infotainment in the Challenger. But coming from a Stinger GT2 (perfect family car) to this (awesome larger family car) I’m very happy. Would recommend over the Atlas, Explorer, and is bigger and more refined than the Durango. It was also way better of a deal than the crazy high markup Telluride and has more Jeep attitude and personality than the Pathfinder.
A few things that need to be stated and I’m disappointed they were not: 1. Comparisons to the Durango are fair but they only go as far as having three rows. The platform under the Grand Cherokee L is brand new while the Durango and short wheel base Grand Cherokee ride on the WK2 platform which was designed in the mid 00s. 2. The Grand Cherokee L is actually lighter than the short wheel base Grand Cherokee by about 150 pounds. So if anything it should be faster. 3. The ZF 8-Speed is not slow. It’s programmed to be more tame when it’s in auto but the shifts get very quick in sport mode. 4. The Grand Wagoneer will utilize the phenomenal Ram 1500 chassis. It will not have any overlap with the Grand Cherokee L and will be a distinct vehicle.
I really like your reviews guys, just want to point out that you have the comparisons wrong IMO. The Grand Cherokee L is to compete with the Aviator / Explorer, Traverse / Enclave / XT6 / Acadia, and the rest on that middle sector in terms of size and price, while the Wagoneer will go after the Tahoe and Expedition, and it is a 3 row, and the Grand Wagoneer is aimed at the Escalade / Navigator size and price. Is there an SRT version coming?
Mc Lintosh used to supply the stereos for Lamborghini and Ferrari. It's ultra premium. They are the leaders in automotive sound quality.
I call the Jeep Grand Wagoneer "Gran-Ya-NaROOOO!" 🤠
Wow. So they basically combined the dodge caravan with a grand Cherokee, very cool stuff. Same engine and everything, just hope they made a better transmission.
If you don't like it, blame chrysler's tuning. ZF 8 speed is a solid transmission in everything from the ram 1500 to rolls royce ghost to toyota supra. Chrysler needs to hold it until the end of time
@@caribougoo349 only the V8 gets the true ZF 8 speed. V6 gets a 'branded' ZF 8 speed
@@blueryxfalls7949 I thought 845re and 850re were just designations given to units made by chrysler with no physical changes just software
290 HP seems so low these days :/
@@THESLlCK sad face :(
McIntosh was used in the Subaru legacy B4 3gen. 2.0twin turbo
I'd take this over any Tahoe, Expedition or Durango
Over Tahoe or Durango??? Over Hellcat Durango?
Not in the same size category as those, except Durango. Grand Wagoneer is.
@@theninethrees8044 Somene shopping for a 700hp Hellcat Durango isn't crosshopping a 291 hp Cherokee. It's like offering someone coffee or cocaine. Sure they both give you more focus which is what your looking for but one of them will allow you to get all your work tasks done, bang Janet in the break room, and completely redesign the Floorplan of the 20 story office building you work in to maximize worker productivity before noon.
I am never going to buy a 3-row SUV, so I can't really make my opinion as to which one I'd actually get.
Can’t wait for the 6.4 equipped ones to show up. I like the interior, but I’ll be sitting on my 2020 GC for awhile I think.
Imagine this with a hellcat motor!
Already exists, It’s called the Durango Hellcat
@@theninethrees8044 yes but this body style instead would be sick!
@@theninethrees8044 Durango uses the old Dodge platform. This one uses the new FCA (Alfa Romeo) platform.
@@alex_adventuress It doesn’t fit the style imo. Regular Grand Cherokee and Durango has an aggressive stance and styling, the Cherokee L is essentially a minivan disguised as an SUV.
@@theninethrees8044 but still just the quirks and features
the stars are always on the front because, "stars lead the way"
Agree, “Stars into battle” same idea
I don't understand why people need a big, heavy, "luxury" boat to be fast..
You don't want it but others want that. So if you don't know now you know
To get out of the way of them big heavy slow Suv's
@@jimmyr1683 If everyone is driving like they should, you don't need to get out of the way for anyone.
@@ekgcanadianenthusiast9961 Its the physics behind it, if you wanna go fast you buy one which is small and light.
It's like the concept of e-SUV's. Putting a somewhat efficient drivetrain into a vehicle which is the exact opposite of being efficient (weight, aero), just stupid imo
@@Daniel-dj7fh you are right about that
Can’t wait to see the 2 row 4xe GC!
I cannot believe that you guys have never heard of McIntosh. FYI, they are ultra Hi-End in home audio!
We are not audiophiles or anythingphiles
Gorgeous interior
Ah yes an overland minivan with just as much clearance as my moms terrain
McIntosh is a super high end audio company. I remember they had a 100k setup at CES 10 years ago. If you haven't heard about it, it's because it's all out of our price ranges.
You can see the super expensive system in an episode of Mr.Robot, when the break in a super nice appartement
This doesn’t look even half as good as the regular grand Cherokee....disappointing
The regular GC will look like this in 3 months
Finally somebody who’s eyes work properly 😂
McIntosh is probably the highest end audio maker from the United States and supplied the sound systems for all three Woodstock’s as well as some of the most legendary concert venues of all time including those in my own living room. Well worth it.
Right on
Too much friken gloss black! Manufacturers STOP IT!
The night vision is not blocked during the day on all the modern BMWs. I use it exactly for the same purpose, looking at the brakes or checking which hoses are isolated badly.
It's honestly better than telluride, except jeeps poor reliability
Wow manufacturers just can not let go of the gloss black interior pieces!
Why does this exist? I mean its literally a worse Wagoneer.
I like when you guys review cars I could afford
First went looking for a Grand Cherokee, but found myself in Mercedes territory before long. Bought a GLC 300. Long story. More to the point: I saw part of your interview expressing dismay at some other reviewers. They try to be funny and entertaining when the car should be the star. Beside, for all intents and purposes one of them is British and the other American. Your channel is more organic.Far superior!
Nice interior
It has an overbite to look more like the Wagoneer, which has an "overbite" because the original Wagoneer did.
The night vision Is perfect for night road trips
Never heard of McIntosh?? They've been in the pro-sumer audio business for nearly a century!
Yeah. I Agree.
A few things that need to be stated and I’m disappointed they were not:
It will not have any overlap with the Grand Cherokee L and will be a distinct vehicle.
love how they drive a bunch of cars like they went from an svj to this
I can’t wait to rent one!!!
Keep up the good work guys!
