Okey you had a great mentor in Brother Reginald Lewis. He was my Fraternity Brother, and left a major impact in the business world. My late father who retired from corporate America was the first person to educate me and my son to Reginald Lewis accomplishments. My dad would give books as Christmas gifts, and one of the first book he gave my son was, “Why should white guys have all the fun ?”. That was the reference book my son would always read. My son had a true entrepreneurial spirit, and was encouraged by Reginald Lewis accomplishments. My son went to Law School and practice in corporate America for several years, he also belong to the same Fraternity that Reginald Lewis and I belong to. My son eventually stopped practicing Law, to pursue his entrepreneurial dream. I lost my son in 2023 but I would have to say he understood the power of faith, family and mentorship. Very interesting. I agree that the 30's and 40's in particular, were truly a golden era. I certainly got inspired by the movie stars and their elegance considering the fact that they actually moved around and lived in their clothing. They danced, drove automobiles, walked in their clothing. The men dressed in styles suitable for gentleman. I also loved the Ralph Lauren ads that began to appear much later. They depicted scenes that were believable and stylish and in locations that I wish I were in. Thank you for your videos. Style and elegance is great to learn and to enjoy.

Did you find private equity to actually be a breath of fresh air after investment banking? What retributions and trials, or even successes, did you encounter due to your diversity? Would you have any general advice to someone in a very similar position to you except much younger?
