Love Farmland. Center location is great. Love the 4 big slots for auto shop, lounge, especially. I use plumbing for the hydroponics and stamina bonus. I have farmed some influence by building and destroying the Haven Device bc it automatically starts a siege. Love the videos keep them going.
👍 I like this base myself. I don't like it quite as much as Whitney Field as I really like the 3 large / 5 small combo, but this is probably the next best.
I'm running an 11 person community in Whitney Field on NZ right now, day 83. Whitney is great, but I think no.1 is the Container Fort. Ample slots, good built-in facilities & although it's on the SW corner, there is a lot of looting to be done nearby. Will give Farmland Compound a look this week.
Container Fort basically trades 1 entire large facility to get just 1 more small facility. Container Fort: 2 Large / 6 Small. Whitney Field: 3 Large / 5 Small. Whitney Field has WAY better facility options.
I know this is late but what I tend to do here is haveoutposts in each town sort of areas and leave a van there (if I can a one with the 9 slots). Once filled, I drive it back to my base and then drive it back only to the outpost to pick back up my impaler. The only problem is bugs, sometimes the game will yeet your vans and you lose everything within them. However, this has only ever happened once to me and usually I never leave rucks inside these vans over play sessions.
The rucksack stratedgy i use, when on a loot run, once impaler trunk full. Go to an outpost, change survivor. Load them with rucksack, then change survivor. 8 survivors plus impaler is 12 rucksacks. Get a lot of looting in far away places done. Fuel and repair vehicle at outpist
You can definitely do that. I don't do it because I play multiple save files on stream, so I often forget to unload them since all of the save files start to blur together.
The influence farm from Whitney is great, but I'd rather play the story lines through Trumbull and worry about influence with other farms. Makes farmland #1 in my book.

They really made Farmhouse go above and beyond and become a way better base than the first game. Tho I do miss some of the features of the same base from the first game heh.
One thing I didn't hear you mention is, you only need to block 3 doors on this base to have that security when the inevitable siege happens, with a 4th spot that is tucked into a corner that the Ferals always seem to find. I choose my base when swapping maps based on defense alone because the build phase is loud and can cost you survivors. This one is my favorite, and it's super comfy. I'm glad that it was beefed up compared to its SOD1 counterpart. EDIT: The 4th little spot was actually making me mad because I just plain missed it the first time I played on this base. There would always, somehow be a zed cruising around the base, when all other doors were blocked off. This base is CRAZY strong, especially when you can just pick it from the start of your map playthrough.
I don't block gateways because the superior defense is to just leave the base. Anytime a siege hits, you can just drive away, and the siege will complete while you're gone.
@@GitGudFox Good point, I am just one that likes to shoot the zeds and having that one spot where all of it shows up at your step. Good videos, thank you for your content :)

Just moved into the Farmland from the RT FOB base. Still playing around with the large slots to get the item bonuses. Hopefully they haven't nerfed the parts farming from the salvage furnace yet.
It's 2 ammo per day which is 1/3rd of a rucksack of ammo, so you lose 1 rucksack of ammo here every 3 days. You can literally earn the rucksack back (200 influence minimum) in a single 3 minute siege which is repeatable because it is a feature of Whitney Field. Whitney Field is the best base in the game. There is no comparing it on an objective manner. People may have preferences that are personal, but Whitney Field is objectively the most powerful base in the game.
@@GitGudFox Sure you can buy ammo with the influence from sieges, but I like everything to be as automatic as possible. With that in mind, I'd need 1 more small indoor slot to make this base perfect.

Hey, what are some tips for retrieving a dead characters vehicle on the other side of the map on lethal? When Carrie died, her impaler was lost on the other side of the map, and it's also next to an aggressive enclave. So any tips for getting it without risking people running there?
get a gun and someone with gunslinger pops heads real easy and stand near a fence. If that isn't feasible just buy another car we all have the ultimate edition vehicle call in now.
If you can find a crappy car to use in the interim. There is the option of the ultimate addition call in, but you may want to save the money. Ive done running there. I would use someone with gunslinging and marathon in light carry with a scent block and or zedrenaline when you approach the hostile enclave. Good luck.
You got a few options. 1) Scentblock and run with Marathon 2) Locate another closer by car, get it working, then drive to the other car 3) Call in a car: everyone has access to Ultimate Vehicles and Independence Day vehicle deliveries
This is such a close second for best base of it were cheaper at maybe 2000 influence i would say then the only thing that could save Whitney field would be a more central position on the map but it definitely has the slots available for the salvage god combo with the 120000 parts i salvaged I can say it can pay for itself though.
So like… an enclave moved into this location for some reason, idk if it’s a feature but I’ve never seen it but like how do I get them out? Or if I can’t how do I claim it???
Specific enclaves with a sub-story will take over main bases. You won't be able to do anything with that base until they leave. You have 2 options. 1) You can complete their quest chain. 2) You can draw zombies to them and kill them. This is easier on higher difficulty because the zombies are both larger in number and do more damage.
Hey can you do a video/series about things that aren’t actually worth it and explain how and why in depth? First regarding bases/outposts like kitchens and beds and why they’re supposedly not worth it. Then maybe skills or equipment too?
I absolutely love this base for so many reasons BUT because of the map that it's on I have to rank it 4th on my list, which is also where I place the map itself compared to the others. So with a map that ranks just above Drucker County the base itself can only account for so much.
I think the map is fantastic, possibly the best in the game. The best landmark, the 2nd best base, the strongest midgame with insane options like immortal Chavez and Izzbee for easy Lethal Zone boon farming. The start is a bit rough, and Marshall is annoying to drive around, but Trumbull Valley is just a pleasure to play in.
the red talon fob sucks i tried it and its very minimal on good facilities u can build but im curious how can i get the free red talon on that base? i just moved base more often like 2-3x and also how can i command a follower NPC to carry a rucksack?
the only thing i dont like about this base is theres a few spots where they could have added a couple more small slots. like that second bunk room is inside but no small slot its a huge waste. also in the bunkyard theres so much room for mor small slots and they dont do it.i have this meatwagon from the dlc it gives me 10 trunk slots plus i can carry 1 ruck sack on my back so my characters can carry 11 ruck sacks on 1 trip lol .
The amount of space isn't really a factor in the slots. If you count up the amount of slots a large base has? They basically have the same quantity of slots compared to other large bases. Whitney Field: 3 large / 5 small. Farmland: 4 small / 4 large. Lumberyard: 5 large / 3 small. See what I mean? They just wind up adding up to 8 give or take 1.
You got 3 options. 1) Use 2 small slots for a Crafting Still Level 2 (water) + a Generator Level 3 (power). The Trader leader is needed for both. 2) Use 1 small slot for a Still Level 2 (water) + a power outpost. Use the still to craft beer to help finance the outpost. 3) Don't use anything in the base for utilities, save up a bunch of influence, and claim a water and an power outpost.
Why don't you do a custom zone lethal on combat but green on both the maps and community. So you can just go nuts and have like fun games. I do it to screw around and stuff day 96 btw lol my two legacy cards are sheriff and builder. So I can get extra loot and have not to worry about the electric snd water outposts
Instead of large sniper tower, why not small Red Talon tower? I like it better in every way anyhow. sure, maybe sacrifice the Still but free up a large slot
Different slot sizes, and you are building the Sniper Tower to get the Sniper Support radio call-in which the RT tower doesn't have. Also, there are more small facilities that are good compared to large facilities. You only really need 2 large facilities. The 3rd one is a luxury and the 4th+ is overkill.
Because the penalty they cause is not very bad. It's like -7 per person missing a bed. Instead of building a bed that gives you 2 beds (+14 morale), you could build a facility that gives +10 Morale x All Community members. So if you had like a toilet and 5 communities members? It would give 10 Morale x 5 = 50 morale, and it would continue to scale up even if you got more community members. Beds on the other hand? Only prevent a -7 morale loss per person missing a bed.
@@GitGudFox when I played the game before lethal when providence ridge gets released I did around 3 full playthroughs of that map. That was after I did a full playthrough on each of the original maps so when Trumball came out, I was close to finishing a nightmare level playthrough in providence so I just transferred it to lethal into Trumball and did the playthrough there. Since then, I've done 3 lethal in Trumbull and have completed a lethal in each of the maps. Weirdly for me my favorite map is probaly Drucker County followed by cascade hills then Trumbull. You get some missions when you move into the base, 3 of them. 1 of the missions gets you the RT.
Are you new to the game? To get a follower npc to hold a rucksack access inventory and hit the select button on the rucksack your holding
Would be better if you could ride a john deer tractor around base
More vehicle options would be a lot more fun than the cosmetics they're doing.
@@GitGudFox I hear ya Fox thanks For all the Videos!
Great tips! Thanks =)
No problem! Thanks for tuning in!
i want like more customization on bases and maybe turrents
It's basically too late for anything substantial to be added. Undead Labs is more or less done with SoD2 except for tweaking numbers and stuff.
the only thing i dont like about this base is theres a few spots where they could have added a couple more small slots. like that second bunk room is inside but no small slot its a huge waste. also in the bunkyard theres so much room for mor small slots and they dont do it.i have this meatwagon from the dlc it gives me 10 trunk slots plus i can carry 1 ruck sack on my back so my characters can carry 11 ruck sacks on 1 trip lol .
What would be the best setup for this base playing lethal without amenities?
You got 3 options.
1) Use 2 small slots for a Crafting Still Level 2 (water) + a Generator Level 3 (power). The Trader leader is needed for both.
2) Use 1 small slot for a Still Level 2 (water) + a power outpost. Use the still to craft beer to help finance the outpost.
3) Don't use anything in the base for utilities, save up a bunch of influence, and claim a water and an power outpost.
@@GitGudFox Thank you! 👍
Because it's not what my audience wants to watch. They want to see max difficulty content.
@@GitGudFox fair enough good sir
how do u have power in your base in this video ?
Beat the game with the Builder leader for unlimited power.
that should be a slot to bottom left
For the large slots?
Instead of large sniper tower, why not small Red Talon tower? I like it better in every way anyhow. sure, maybe sacrifice the Still but free up a large slot
Different slot sizes, and you are building the Sniper Tower to get the Sniper Support radio call-in which the RT tower doesn't have. Also, there are more small facilities that are good compared to large facilities. You only really need 2 large facilities. The 3rd one is a luxury and the 4th+ is overkill.
30580 red talon token? How did he get it so fast
I originally had 99,999 when I did my group farm.
Why are beds pointless?
Because the penalty they cause is not very bad. It's like -7 per person missing a bed.
Instead of building a bed that gives you 2 beds (+14 morale), you could build a facility that gives +10 Morale x All Community members.
So if you had like a toilet and 5 communities members? It would give 10 Morale x 5 = 50 morale, and it would continue to scale up even if you got more community members.
Beds on the other hand? Only prevent a -7 morale loss per person missing a bed.
@@GitGudFox Ahh okay, I am starting my first nightmare world with a NG+ community so I will keep that in mind!
For the Algorithm :)
💗 thank you for the support!
Would have been my favorite map ever, except its in Trumbull valley... Just not a big fan of that map
With the exception of Marshall, I like the drives in Trumbull Valley.
The main problem I had with Trumbull was lack of towns essentially which was just a feature of the first game, I guess.
closest I ever came to the game trying to kill a character was when I swapped characters at an outpost in Drucker county and the game spawned me in the middle of a blood feral horde
👏🙂
Hey fox
👋
When a base is too big and have too much fun
You can get a lot of interesting setups here. Honestly don't see why more of the bases are like this.
@@GitGudFox I noticed it's insane
Whats HYPER?
It means like overly, excessive, or far beyond what's normal which is what this community is. It's a hyper build.
Thanks!
Oh thank you so much for the tip, Mr. Stanislav. I know you haven't said anything about it, but if you have any content suggestions or ideas. I do write them down for future stuff.
