Advantage of a roof tent over the vw is once the holiday is over unmount the tent and you have a daily driver. With the camper van it’s always a camper
I get the feeling the people buying 50k camper van conversions are probably not driving daily anywhere.

The channel *CheapRVliving* is also very useful. Too many people don't even consider living in a car, but consider living in a tent is something normal.
@@HeXetic Actually, you can drive it daily, and some people do, but most people usually drive daily for a few days in a row and then stay in the same place for a few days to a few weeks in a row.
This is giving me the "Old Top Gear" feeling.

I grew up with my mum having a 205 Loved that little thing, The day we brought it we had to jump start it three times, oddly enough we went straight from buying the car to go stay with my Grandparents who where camping at the time. 😂 Fond memories
I miss my first 205 so much, so many happy memories! Wish I had one now I’m older and can afford the upkeep :)

Clicked thanks to the 205 - first car was a 205 1.1, now currently dailying an '87 CTi. Possibly not the best decision of my life in this ridiculous rain we're having, but I love it so much!
Ok so I am a couple of lessons away from my driving test. Peugeot’s (especially old ones like Pierre) are my absolute favourite! And myself and my girlfriend would love a weekend away for the first time in our 5 year relationship!

That tent is so awesome! I bought a $300 sitting in a field Chevy blazer that I got running (it runs really good) and I wanna put a latitude tent like that on top with like a couple inch lift and proper off road tires and it’ll be the ultimate off-road rig.

I had that Peugeot back in the day (2005) off eBay. Didn't cost be £100.....only 35 quid from a Frenchman in Knightsbridge...lol
Calling bs, back in 2005 that car was not being sold for that. Even today it would be dumb as it is worth more as parts and scraps, but back then - no fucking way.

All depends on the person and the need for the car I’ve bought a mk4 golf for £70 with no mot and it went straight through with no advisories about 3 years ago and a k10 micra for £50 with a years mot on 🤷🏼♂️
I agree I've been paid to take away cars with no mot put them in for mot and passed with a bulb change or fixing a horn not working

@@PKMartin I've got half a table in a 207 boot - clip it on the btm boot loop and then pop a pop up tent half out the back. Not quite as good but £30.
The amount of times iv been camping and thought “this would be better if I was on top of a Peugeot.” Literally never but I love the idea! 👍

Hey! Winning this car would be an amazing help. I'm currently studying for my 2nd module in getting my full PCV license (Busses.) The ability to get this car would enable me to get to my depo 11.9 miles away at 4am every day, when the busses aren't running for the day yet. Which otherwise I would have no other way of getting to work. Your content is amazing and keep it up. :)

Me and my wife would love that car and tent. We have never been on a holiday ever as a couple. We simply can’t afford it. Our daughter would go bananas she loves tiny cars.

Great video. It's not what you've got but how you use it. PS. I've got a self converted T6 and yes, you can use them as an every day car. My son's got a Citroen Berlingo with a plastic box conversion and sleeping bag and he loves it.

@@chrissmith3378 agree, my friends 206 started running on 3 cylinders while on our way to mcdonalds, we let it cool off and bam in 10 minutes problem fixed! So fucking many electric problems on that.

@@rubenbraekman4515 Probably cause they're all designed to be driven on the left side of the road haha. My first car was about £450 and lasted me two years before I scrapped it and went to university. That was a 2003 Seat Ibiza.
