  • The onset of Rheumatoid Arthritis is very gradual. Often the symptoms are worse in the morning and improve as the day goes on. Because of inflammation, many patents experience restlessness at night and can have flu-like fatigue, fevers, and aches. In this video, Dr. Uzma Haque, a physician at the Johns Hopkins Arthritis Center, discusses the signs and symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis.

    being a 15 year old living with this disease is heartbreaking, everyday it feels like a chore just to get out of bed, watching all my friends do whatever they want, really hurts mentally. They are energetic and light on their feet and that is a feeling i find hard to remember now. :(((

    The worse thing is that people don’t realize how painful it is and it hurts . if your family is not supportive of it and they want you to fulfill your daily chores and duties. In my case I get a lot of passive aggressiveness from my husband for not being active enough and he thinks I am just lazy and I don’t have a disease.

      I totally get what you are saying I went through the same you aren't alone . It hurts to be called lazy when you LITTERALLY cannot help the way your body is I got called a liar had to sneak and get me is and bloodwork done turns out I've got RA and a cyst in my spinal cord among other things and now I'm proud to say he is not in my life anymore . I wish you all the best dear💓.

    I suffer from this DAILY!! It’s a pain like no other! I can’t hold things anymore,Im constantly dropping and losing my grip,it is very depressing when you go from doing everything for your family, and now having to ask your husband or kids to open something so simple like a package of ketchup or mustard because pinching or a tight grip is impossible now..I get mad and aggravated daily because I can barely even pull up or put on my own clothes!! It’s very hard to deal with!!

    For me, one day I was fine, nothing hurt, the next day my hips were in so much pain and then the next day I got my blood results back and I found out that I have an auto immune disease and it might be RA. Which was really shocking for me.

    My Father can use this vital information. I appreciate your soft, elegant delivery of this information. Your eloquence was refreshing and reminiscent of family members of Mine, as We are of part-Indian descent. Contrary to others, I say the music was perfect, as it relaxed Me and wasn't overpowering. It actually kept Me engaged more and I was able to retain some much-needed insight, that I can now impart on My Dad.
    I thank you for this.

    I feel I have every symptom mentioned however I also suffer from osteoarthritis in my rt knee. So because the rt k ee is worse than the left I was told it was very unlikely I have RA. And promptly discharged from the rheumatologist. I have flares, the finger joints on both hands become white when I try to straighten. Some days I just dont want to wake up. But without a real diagnosis I have no chance of management. I've even been turned down for a knee replacement now although the radiologist told me its bone on bone. I think the worst thing is that once you are thought not to have RA you are discarded, nobody tries to find out what you do have that makes you feel so crappy

      julz s i get it, my doctor has been doing all kinds of tests, I’ve been seeing all kinds of doctors and professionals on my own and nobody really gives me an answer on what’s happening to my body. I just know that my crp levels are very high, I have a lot of back pain along with sometimes neck, hands and arms in general, mostly on the left. I have seen also a rheumatologist and he just dismissed me saying it might of been bruised ribs (I got a door and door handle slammed on my back and It also hit the left side of the back) but I can’t seem to manage it. I’m sorry you’re feeling that way. Hope you find your answers soon and everything gets better.

    I don't know what to say or do..just some minutes before I was almost crying for the present situation I'm going through. I'm 21... not even a graduate yet...& Just 4 months before I got symptoms, it became severe , consulted a Doctor , gone through several medications & physiotherapy & now due to corona & lockdown , I was also locked in my room doing exercises suggested by my therapist along with taking few medicines.
    at times, it feels so bad & hopeless because of the worst kind of pain. Then just after two days, it becomes normal then again it starts. It's so much depressing , I'm afraid if I'll be able to do a job in future. I really don't know...am taking preparations for all the exams & it fells horrible for the uncertainty of cure of this disease. Is it curable? Plz help me guys.

    I def think that stress can make it worst . Being 35 years old and having mental and now physical disability. It's a struggle. Yes daily activities are hard to do . But I just push myself . Even When i feel like staying in bed . I make myself get up and first thing in soak in a hot Epson salt bath. Or use my homemade Epson salt scrub in a hot shower . It burns so bad in my hands that I can hardly pick up a piece of paper . I'm just now going to see a rheumatologist they had me go to see a neurologist for 6 months and still was puzzled and so I am now going to see a rheumatologist after breaking my pinky toe from falling and stubbing my toe like I fall every day they were confused as if I had Ms or they still think I may have a mess but the orthopedic doctor I saw wanted me to see a rheumatologist

      @kittressler7068 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Late but whatever and I’m unsure of what you mean, I know when I recently injured my leg ( September ) because it’s still not better, back in November they did rule a few tests. If you go to your doctor and talk to them about it they should be able to help you? I don’t know though.

    • @kittressler7068
      @kittressler7068 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      But either way I have the exact same issue and I’m 15. So yeah I’d say go to the doctors and ask if they can run tests?

    • @standreamcatcher544
      @standreamcatcher544 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      See your gp and tell them your symptoms and they should do a blood test. Once you get your results back then they'll let you know what the issue is. And if pain killers aren't helping let them know. Be firm or they won't take it seriously

    I experienced it 3 months after getting a c-section. I’m also breastfeeding. It started in my hands and feet. It has now spread to all my joints. I haven’t been officially diagnosed but all my symptoms point to ra. I’m desperate and I’m in so much pain. Its been 7 months since my first symptom. I don’t have good insurance and I really don’t want to take any drugs. Anyone know of any holistic ways to treat it.

    • @LindseyObrooke
      @LindseyObrooke 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      No. You must go to a doctor or your body will erode from a chronic inflammatory disease like RA. Don't diagnose yourself, and if you think you have an auto immune disease, go to a doctor and take medicine. THEN look into holistic help along side it. Auto immune diseases can kill you when they ARE being treated.
