Thanks for sharing the unboxing of your first Leica. My first Leica was an M1 that I used on a microscope while I was in college. The M1 did not have a rangefinder. Decades later, when I could finally afford it, I purchased a classic titanium Leica M6 rangefinder. My first lens was a Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 Distagon. Later, I flanked it with a 90mm f/2 Summicron and a 21mm f/1.4 Summilux. Loved my M6 so much that I waited for Leica to produce a digital camera that was similar in size, shape, and ergonomics to my M6. I now have a Leica M10 that I use for shooting digital color and the M6 for shooting black & white film.
Man, now that is a Leica story right there! The titanium M6 is beautiful and I'd love to have a digital M. I've played around with an M10 and 10-p in a store here in Japan and it was so satisfying. Nice layout of lenses too!
This video turned up in my searches - watched it all the way through - and all I can say is congratulations on buying this wonderful piece of German engineering. I suspect that is you made for a lifetime of film photography. I keep eyeing these pieces of kit in the UK, but I am put off by the high purchase prices, and would rather save for a Leica Digital M (of some kind). I hope you are enjoying and making the most of it.
Lovely camera .. I also love my Leica M7 M8 M-E 24mm elmar .. 35mm1.4 nokton.. 50mm Summicron v5.. 90mm emlarit e46 .. That's all you need .. most used is the M8 .. least used is the M-E .. 24mm 50mm on M8 B&W 160 iso shots are amazing..
Well when you open the back, the film counter passes 0 back to about 48ish. Once you load your film then you burn 2 frames or so and voila you are at 0 to start the roll.
There is nothing like getting something you've wanted for a long time!

Congrats man, I hope you're loving that machine
Yea I am. Thanks!
Wait... but the Frame counter did NOT go back to zero... so was it actually fixed or not?

@@ZoneFocused Ah! Glad you beautiful M6 got fixed. The patina on the metal looks just gorgeous!
@@marckyokay Its my go to daily camera unless I grab a point and shoot. Its staying with me forever!
How exciting!!!! Congratulations
Appreciate it man!
Is this a brand new you’ve purchased ?
It was "used" but I couldn't see any ware on the camera when I bought it. It looked close to new.
This is so clean! You got it for a great deal before the prices exploded haha. Hope you're enjoying it
Man, it worked out in my favor this time
10:13 killed me bro😂 stoked for this though, congrats
Thanks Zach!
Hi quick question if you don’t mind. Did your m6 come with the cursive logo strap or did it come with the printed Leica strap. Thanks
I don’t know because I’ve never opened the box haha
Got it, thanks!
Good question, I literally never opened the strap box. Never use the straps that come with the camera.
Congrats bro! Can’t wait to see your next video with it! Maybe someday I’ll be able to own one haha.
Oh yea, better believe I'm going to be making some videos soon! If you want one, it will come around.
Congratulations buddy!
Thanks Eddie!
May I ask how much it cost?
About half of the going price now
@@ZoneFocused how I should I consider as an investment then haha. I just wanted to compate with the prices in China, where I live
Maybe look for M6s from Europe. Their prices are usually slightly lower
Where did you get your m6 ? Ebay ?
Japanese store called Camera no Obayashi in Osaka.
@@ZoneFocused you are a baller lol, keep on doing what you do bro, your channel will grow fast.
..what a beauty...🤓👍
Gets me every time I look at it
Love my Leica MP too! :-)
Now that's the next dream camera one day! Enjoy that MP!
@@ZoneFocused Thanks!! :-)
