How do you feel about Imperius? Is he OP or nah?
I used to play him all the times because of how his Q build is brutal especially at lvl 20 when you get Brand of Solarion. You pretty much delete any hero in 3 AA after you landed your Q and they have all 3 brands. But Imperius is easily counterable by displacement and CC. Since then, I became a Alarak main. I am not as easily countered, I have decent wave clear,
I can kill as fast if I land my combo, I don't have to go back to base because I am out of mana every 5 mins and it is even easier to follow-up on my setup because I bring my enemy close to me instead of getting to them.
No he's not OP. He's one of the rare Heroes done right . He's balanced and easy to counter or dodged.
What maps and matchups is he good in?

Special note on his stun that you briefly touched upon: Any and all displacement ruins the finishing damage of your stun. Johanna, ETC, Diablo, Alexstraza, Raynor, the list goes on. Even the conveyor belts on Volskaya work against you. And the displacement can be on either you or the target(s). Don't be surprised when people interrupt your stun, even your own team.
Thankfully, as also touched upon, most of the bonuses are either upon connecting or end of stun. So don't freak out over the interrupts, either.
I had an imperious game many moons ago where I was able to stun 4 people and blow all of them up in less than 5 seconds...good game, better memory
me after trying imperious for the first time today and losing 2 out 2 games: I should watch this
The build in the video is more of a self sustain "assassin" build. If you want to go main tank you really want to spec some into Molten Armor as 4, 13 and 16 E talents gives you almost permanent 20 armor as well as decreasing enemy armor by 25 if slapped on.
Also, even if you can't stun Deathwing with Q, it still procs the movement speed from 16 Q talent and applies a mark, making it effective if you go with the Impure talent at 1 as it aids with stutter-stepping and avoiding sudden abilities that he may throw out on you.
As most high level players will tell you, imperious is not good as a main tank. He’s tanky, but with his health nerfs he is not nearly as tanky as anyone actually in the tank role. He’s better played as a solo/this self sustain tanky assassin. He is a bruiser after all, not a tank.
The game has introduced too much overlapping Crowd Control (Over time. There being a lot of various roles that contain crowd control without losing out on damage or support or other key parts of their identity). So it's not about having everything. It's about having a lot. Imperius doesn't have everything. But he has a lot and what he has is good.
What Heroes of the Storm needs to really do is have diminishing returns introduced. It was stupid for them to decide that armor and buffs won't stack but crowd control basically does. Then with the introduction of Mei who has more than one crowd control on every ability (basically) there's just too much of everything going on.
I want the players to play more than the characters to play. That's hard to do when your game design philosophy is about creating powerful characters instead of creating ways for players to interact with each other. It's easy to see this design philosophy in Mei. That design philosophy has been present for a few years now though.
I love imperious, i do feel he’s super strong but only team fight wise lol. A lot of people buuld him wrong though,

Lol I've never bothered landing my W first so that I can land my Q, I just use both at the same time
Fighting an Imperius that doesn't miss their spears feels awful, since you can't really play around it in teamfights. I wish they would just slightly increase imps Q width and add a small delay that allows people time to press a button but doesn't make it more difficult to hit his Q.
the delay is in the charge, and the fact that you can see him coming towards you. It's no more difficult to dodge than muradin's stormhammer

Get his quest that increases his damage based on hits, and you'll quickly see why he's absolutely pickable. ;)
Artanis is kinda bad. I think he is interesting but his problems are far more severe than is fixable just by increasing his numbers... These are some of his problems:
He has ok damage, but is melee and has little to no ability to stick to targets.
He has no lane sustain
He has no escape.
His initiation is a very slow, telegrahed skill shot
his initiation usually gets him killed
because he is reliant on shields and AA''s to survive, he is countered by hard CC, blinds and shield break abilities. This is about half the heroes in the game.
Also, he cant duo soak well, like a decent amount of other bruisers / offlaners
his camp clear is ok but nothing special, but no sustain means he is chunked after doing them compared to e.g. your sonya.
All in all he is really bad at a lot of things and for all the things he could be good at there is a bruiser or tank that does whatever he does much better. sadly..

my goodness...
I suck with imperius. imperius has zero escape. if you are in there's no turning back. and missing the stab is so unforgiving. not my cup of tea.

Imperius is one of the few Heroes that I don't mind being overpowered.
In my opinion he shouldn't be nerfed.
Some Heroes should be more powerful than others because of the lore.
Thou, he's not so powerful overall. He have very severe flaws that put heavy burden on your team: been a bruiser with 0 wave clear. He also have everything put into the same basket: his Q which is avoidable and can be interrupted with displacement skills and CC. I consider him a strong last pick on 2 lanes maps or on Dragon Shire against certain team comp but that is about it. He's a strong hero for QM thou.
im lvl 500 imperius and this is actually a terrible guide
What do you suggest? Do you like spending more Yasmeen on other types of utility apart from his Celestial Charge? If yes, can you tell me what you do? I'm interested.

Plus what "pros" do is often very, very specific and niche.

This video isn't saying he is. It's made in response to people claiming it, and Kyle points out why that's not the case. Though he was broken when there was a bug with his shield/attack ult that let him recast the reactivation over and over and just melt anyone he aimed it at. But they finally got around to fixing that, thankfully.

@@Draeckon Still Kyle claim that Flash of Anger is OP which I disagree. FoA is one of his talent that define him and it's not OP in the sense that without it, Imperius would be such a great hero in the right circumstance but would be a bad in general.
