Steve, I comment occasionally, and i want to thank you again for sharing your adventures with us. I've never missed one of your videos and always look forward to every one. A few years ago, my doctor suggested I get out and walk more often. I was getting soft and not in the greatest shape. At the time, I was 69, so I purchased a DJI Mavic Air 2 and had it follow me through the forests and parks here in western NY. I worked up to 2-4 miles a day and felt so much better. One day, I felt bad and had trouble breathing. I was diagnosed with COPD. Shit, i was working to get in better shape! This August i said screw COPD and started walking 2 or 3 times a day with my dog. My breathing is better, and God willing, I'm heading back to the forest this coming spring. No drone though. Had to sell it to pay medical bills. Id suggest the Mavic Air 2 for some of your hikes. You surely won't lose it, and the active track and obstacle avoidance is great. Always stay safe, my friend. Until the next one. Happy Thanksgiving, and if you don't drop a new video, early Merry Christmas! - Paul
This guy really never stops does he? Keeping the search going after a decade takes some serious dedication. Keep the vids coming man your awesome and thanks for all of your content being so awesome 😂❤
Happy Thanksgiving Steve ❤ brilliant as always, my favourite TH-camr! I'm currently up in the Scottish Highlands in a log cabin, thank you for keeping me company. Stay safe, my freind
You are awesome Sir ! Thank You for your commentary which is always clear, concise, and informative of what you are encountering. I love the fact you press on regardless. Admirable ethic ~
What a lovely place. It's beautiful with the big trees. Seeing the deer was something else. Thanks. I always enjoy an adventure in the mountains on a cold night.
Wow! What a hike! You could hear your elevated heartbeat at 1:22 while you were climbing the big hill. At least that big buck didn't charge you for scaring his doe! Love these videos! Not sure I would watch any other 2 hour video on TH-cam. Way to go Steve! I sure wish you would explore more off the trail more often. That's where the good stuff is! Keep on truckin!
Awesome adventure far away from Northern Norway where I ‘m currently living. It’s on days like today- with snow falling along with a heavy wind, that I wish I was in a desert . I understand that there’s a downside to any place, but I ‘m tired of pushing snow out of my driveway now. About-5 Celsius, windy and the amount that’s on the ground is about 130 centimeters. Cheers!! 😊❤I love hiking, do a lot of it during the summer and fall.I really enjoy your videos too, it’s such a different landscape than northern Europe, it’s so beautiful and yet barren and clearly unforgiving. I haven’t seen anything quite like it in other countries, like the UK , either. Have a great day!❤
I just want to thank you for your videos Steve! I love to hike, but have been unable to because of some physical issues lately. Your videos make me feel like I am right there, so thank you for that. My daughter and I were hiking in the Poconos a few years back, and had the very uneasy experience of being in a dead silent forest, so I can relate to what you are talking about. It’s super eerie, a different feel than just “quiet”. Anyhow, looking forward to your next video. God Bless and stay safe out there!
@ it sure is real! That was the only time I experienced it. I (normally) hike Mt Charleston and Red Rock quite a bit, but never had that experience so far! Maybe its a Sheep Range “thing”😬
Interesting hike Steve. A couple of things I noticed if you pause the video at 15:30 and look in to the tree brush it looks like a face, at 42:40 sounds like something being torn or ripped, last 1:35:51 that is a old 6volt coil. Stay safe out there and hope you had a good Thanksgiving
Awesome vid. Felt like I was hiking with you. What an enjoyable adventure and your findings was wonderful to look at. Hope you had a good thanksgiving. Stay safe and healthy 🤗🙂🙏🏼
The plastic you called safety glasses, those are what are called Tear Off's used on goggles for offroad motorcycles, atv's etc. There's several layers so when they get too dirty to see through you tear a layer off then they're clean again.
That was a great hike. That had to be a real surprise to see someone’s tracks in the middle of nowhere. He probably is a poacher it’s a good thing that you have protection on you.
I love your videos. I would love to go hiking like you do but at 72, I am not sure that would be a good idea. But, I do learn so much from your videos. Thank you for them and Happy Thanksgiving.
Think you dud the right thing in turning around and going back. Most times when it's quite and still like that it could mean that there maybe be a predetermined in the area. Good choice. Greatvideo.
I believe that cylindrical piece you found on your way down was a dually wedge style wheel spacer that separates the inner and outer wheels on heavy vehicles. Atleast that’s what it appears to be.
The plastic looks like a tear off from moto cross goggles....great vids bro , only discovered them few weeks ago.... electrical part was automotive coil for firing spark plugs..👍👍👍
At 01:41:14 you paused, stating that you suddenly had a sense of foreboding, and that "everything got really quiet." Immediately prior to that you cut from an earlier scene of walking down the old road. I don't know how much time passed between the scenes but I do know that, between walking and talking and breathing somewhat heavily due to the elevation you were making a fair amount of noise as you walked. Is it not surprsing that every little critter in the forest hid quietly as you approached? At the same time, something is not quite right about the place where you stopped and panned the camera around. The place no doubt has an odd vibe to it. Odd energies tend to linger in paces where people once lived, but where nobody has lived for a long time. You are wise to pay close attention to such energies when they manifest themselves. Your life very well may depend on doing so someday.
When I go for my long walks / hikes I wear my barefoot style shoes. Like Xero. But then barefoot are the only type of shoes I wear. Year round. The other day it was 12 degree wind chill here and I was out for several hours walking. The woods here have lots of those old fallen trees on the ground too. Looks just like the ones in this video. I think some of the downed ones are ancient too...something about how they look. The area is full of ticks so I stay on the hiking trail... No mountains around here. Not in the midwest. But there are hills and rocks and wet boggy areas along the river. I have been very close to wild deer on several occasions. Like maybe 2 armlengths... They are always special moments. I do have a gift with horses so maybe that is why i was able to get so close to the deer. Once time it was a pair inside of a ravine. Another time it was a fawn in the woods. Always a treat to see deer. Remember it is risky these days to eat any deer. They have that disease. I also recently saw a warning online about getting deer you catch checked for lead??? Like what? How would deer get lead? But that disease, a prion brain disease is nothing to mess with. One of my ex neighbors had a family member catch it. Did not end well..i think its also called a "wasting disease"? I really enjoy these hikes. Enjoy seeing the desert. I go on 12 or 14 mile walks / hikes often. 😊 Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃
Hey Steve, love your videos, I do alot of solo camping here in Australia, (no Mountain Lions or bears here), just wondering if you've ever considered camping overnight up in the Mountains
I don't hunt deer either, at least not on purpose, but I'm glad that others do. Here in the Midwest (Illinois) they are a big nuisance. Sometimes you will see herds of them in the fields. I've seen as many as twenty. They need thinned. A couple of weeks ago on my way to work I had a big buck run into the side of my vehicle. I saw him in the left lane, but only had a split second to react. His antlers made a big scrape along the bottom of the rear door and a dent on the door post. I'm just glad he connected back there, not to the window by my head.
Kenny was seen sealing stuff from his sister's shop dude on camera. So he's probably still on the run as we speak the whole thing about him missing is a hoax.
@SBVegasAdventures well it was worth a try lol. Only thing else I could think of would any local government records that might show the location, size or scale of that logging company's land rights. You can't just show up and log and area.

That's what it looked like to me as well. Seen motocross and snowmobile videos where they used them. When it gets too muddy or icy the peel one off.

An ignition coil is used in the ignition system of a spark-ignition engine. I work for a Ford Main Dealer yeas ago..

The drag marks you found were more than likely made by deer. Mature males will sometimes drag their front hooves in light snow.

1:35:48 Judging by the simple top piece, this a basic phase flux capacitor.
Google Maps can't be always accurate when finding stuff.
Good video but holy grail of exploration in that region though is where is the Veach "M" cave?
Like all legends it remains elusive but the search continues
It's a ignition coil.
great introduction, suspense was at max. best channel on yt by far
Maybe a solenoid? (On the ground by the truck?)
The buck is thinking about lunch
I feel like Kenny will be found one day in an area people have already searched for him. Like the case of Dale Stehling
The electrical thing from the truck I think it's called a solenoid 😊
you should check and see if you can find old airal photos of the area and see if you see any old road to signs that could lead you in to new areas

@ good idea!
You asked what could knock down a tree. The white stuff beneath your feet is extremely heavy and will knock down a tree in a jiffy if it's wet
Enjoy the hard climbs while you still can. To not push yourself is a waste of life.
Just around the 30 mark walking up to parts 2 rocks piles were there stacked up together on top of one another , someone has been there , their signs ...

That coil was most likely from sawmill truck..
I remember that video of the cast of water
What was the box attached to the tree right behind the truck?
Where is kenny 😮😮😮
Those weren't my foot prints this time.
The drag marks could be a mountain lion dragging a kill.
