When I watch this I can almost feel the serene, quiet, peacefulness. There should be a map where everyone that's hiked for Kenny maps out spots they've looked in all the canyons.

I'm enjoying your videos - such pretty scenery and I enjoy your conversation as you hike. I don't think anyone will find Kenny though. That area is just so vast with so many places where he could have gotten injured, harmed himself, or ran into someone who harmed him. It's not surprising that an experienced hiker/explorer disappeared. It happens. Nature is unforgiving and experience doesn't prevent accidents or mistakes. I totally understand why you love hiking out there -- looks so peaceful, quiet and beautiful!

You found a Kenny Veach rock cairn!
This whole story is reminding me of one of the series of books, Alfred Hitchcock & the Three Investigators. I forgot the name of that particular installment, but one day, you're gonna find a cave, and somewhere inside, you're gonna find Kenny's skeleton, sitting on a rock, still wearing his clothes, 9 emm emm in hand and a hole in the skull. Just like Pete Crenshaw found El Diablo in that cave. Of course, El Diablo was already shot by a posse and went into the cave to die.
That is assuming Kenny didn't punk us and is still alive.
Love these videos. Prolly gonna watch that truck find one more than once. I so wanna be there. Almost feel like I am there.
What might be nice is if you Gopro'd part of the ride from Vegas, just to get an idea of the complete trip.

There are 3 hand prints near the petroglyph you claimed up to. They're in a video posted by Aquachigger. Great hike. As usual, be safe and careful. Also, if you look at that petroglyph you'll see there are numbers written within it either in charcoal or pencil. I miss hiking through the forests with my drone tracking my every step. Now with COPD those hikes aren't possible. When I watch you, I watch every step you take. Never skip or fast forward. Thank you for taking all of us with you.

I think you should have checked the area around those juniper trees that you were at just before lunch because if Kenny had to spend the night somewhere up there then he would have done so near trees. Being an avid hiker all my life you camp near trees for firewood so you have light and so you can keep warm. The trees also shelter you from the wind and can provide you with soft bedding and in the sheep range this is even more important because the rocks are so rough. You said he pushed his body you have to think like he did. I've been through the sheep range and it is by far one of the most inhospitable places I've ever seen in my life and in the desert trees mean life.

I realized I hadn’t seen this video so I’m watching it and you showed a clip from Kenny’s video where he is talking about the M cave and he walked past the so-called covered m cave. I had a good laugh because wasn’t it supposedly covered up as some kind of conspiracy and it is clearly just another natural rock feature. Interesting.

So I was wondering where I can find a plant like the one placed over the path the first time you see it at 00:41 and I watched the whole hike again and it takes a while until you see a plant like this again and that’s at 1:21 almost all the way up 🤔 so where did it come from ? Who put it there ? Then I watched the first 40 min again and at 32:34 you can see something that looks like it but I’m not sure about that but sure thing is that stuff is growing all over the mountain top and somehow nowhere else. Than I thought about that petroglyph you found a few minutes before you found that plant placed over the path and when you think a little abstract the petroglyph/picture looks like that plant but that’s just me trying to read any signs.
My next step is finding out what kind of plant that is…

At time mark 1:23:20, you see that little sand pit that is below some rocks? That is a place where dad and I would have dug. It is a spill way when water is flowing there. It is a natural bucket. You dig down there and if there is any gold in there, it will gather at the bottom of that natural bucket. Dad and I have found gold nuggets in places like that. The gold is heavy so once in the bucket, it will not flow down further. it will work it's way to the rock in the bottom and the lighter sand lighter rocks, will wash on down the valley.

You can get any number of wifi cameras to keep an eye on your truck. I currently use canary. Cannot promise someone won’t break in but if you have wifi yourself you can be notified immediately and can watch your truck live anytime to make sure everything is in tact. It will also capture and record if someone breaks in, you might be able to catch them or get them on camera. Also, if you are notified, at least you could notify cops immediately and have a fighting chance and you may be able to give police a vehicle description to be looking for. You can also pay for service where the device itself automatically alerts police. It’s pretty remote, it would still be hard for somebody to get by with it especially if you have several anti-theft precautions in place including lining some of your valuables with GPS monitoring. Plus people out there have guns and binoculars, lot of people would shoot to kill if someone robbed them or felt threatened.

Hi Steve, Skull Canyon was definitely an interesting but very rugged and unforgiving place, at 1:17:56 there was what looked like an old campfire but on closer inspection it has what seems to be a cross made out of the sticks, also there is what looks like a hat like the one's Kenny used to wear or it could be a metal plate. To the left of the "fire" there is a tree and underneath that tree is what looks like the outline of a body and just a few feet to the right of is what looks like a backpack shape. I did take a screenshot of it if you ever want me to send it to you. That was a tough hike for all the climbing over and up rocks you had to do, would you ever go to Jo May Canyon ???, Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 💞

I looked and was not able to see it so if you have a screenshot, you can sent it to me via Instagram or via the email address on the About page on my channel. I saw that little spot and thought it would make a good camping spot but would be worried about boulders falling from above.

Brutal hike for sure. Your cardio and leg strength is unreal to be able to run up that berm after all that. There is a similar canyon that everyone overlooks heading south from that "skull canyon." I dont think anyone has ever been up that one either unless Sean did it when he was camping out there.

Kenny mentioned he had to go on the other side of Charleston mountain or a canyon super narrow and scary were his words. But then he said he had to climb down a dangerous mountain to find the m cave. He teferenced the route he was going to take as being right beside a bombing area 51 area and behind a big mountain. The narrow canyon leads to the craigy mountain and down along side the airforce base. He said the cave was on ground level but in the side of a mountain so to me that would mean its on a mountains ledge.

Those lines on those rocks are from centuries of water falling and washing down them. Those canyons used to be filled with water about 20 feet high.

Hey mister sb, kenny once mentioned a cave he pointed his camera to , while he was walking then all of a sudden said " that looks like" then he stopped and said um im not going up in there. And he pointed to a narrow cave he zoomed in on with his camera and for months i felt he was in it because he got scared when he saw it and when he zoomed in, it looked like their was a person in a sleeping bag leaning against a wall. It was a narrow cave left of the screen and in a short mountain face. I wonder if he discovered something bad and he was attacked on his next hike after that. Its just after he mentioned where he gets his skulls.

I enjoy the view over that beautiful desert. It's very different from where I live.
One thing though that makes this vid less enjoyable though is the constant and fast panning without even resting on something before panning in the other direction again. Motion sickness triggering. And not easy to really see anything.

That winged demon your talking about is called a donkachen gargoyle, they are originally australian tribal natives that have spirit warriors that have first nations and tribal ancestrie that originally came from the siberian mountains in russia and spread down throughout gangas knan , china, then maori australia like nomads all the way on the baring straight and into arizona nevada utah ect . And continued to wisconin minnisota then down to the north into canada. They had shamen warriors. The gargoyles protected the mountainous sacred caves. Aomw say they came from the depths of hell from inside a cave that has a whole world in it i forget the name of it.

I suggest that you follow the clues that Kenny left. First the phone that was found use this as the centre of a circle. On google maps mark the centre of the circle and using a radius of 45 miles. This was his statement about how far he could walk in one day. Now look at the perimeter of the circle and look for any canyons that have M cave in there good luck. He may be living out there somewhere.

That was a good one, Steve! Just remember, not all petroglyphs were made by Indians. Lots of other folks wandered those lands, as well. Spanish treasure hunters were quite active at one time, so the symbols you find carved in the rocks could be clues to a cache.
Have you thought about doing an overnighter out there, or is that not something you're inclined to do?

I am absolutely considering an overnighter out there, I think viewers want to see it. I have a place in mind to camp and there is a cell signal so when I do, I will likely do hourly livestreams. I just need to wait for the weather to warm up a bit.

The flower stalk across the path looks like an old yucca flower stalk and the cactus that got your boot is called a cholla (choy-ya) cactus. I grew up in Las Vegas and hiked all over the desert.

    • @MayorNan
      @MayorNan ปีที่แล้ว +1

Also you are hiking in mostly dolomite/limestone stair like layers. Most of the geology around Las Vegas is sedimentary and the little veins and channels are probably where erosion carves and then eventually mineral precipitates out of limestones to fill in. You might also see conglomerates where rocks are imbedded in other rocks.

That black living lichen/fungus you saw is called “biological soil crust”. The mass can include lichen, mosses, green algae, microfungi, and bacteria, but is mostly cyanobacteria, better known as green-blue algae. It takes hundreds of years, if ever, to recover if disturbed.
