Yellow Pine Railroad is a tremendous name - and painted in Forest Green, at that! If you have room, maybe install a big lumber mill lol! I modeled in N-scale. Collected freight cars from age 12 and up. Did my own free-lance thing - The Texas Central and Pacific Railroad. Sky blue paint scheme, sunset yellow stripes and black locomotive roofs. Free lance is the way to go. You make your own rules. Texas railroads feature lots of chemical trains, grain trains and double stack intermodal. Loved it! Your railroad is a big winner to me!

Very nice switching layout. You have done your homework and captured the flavor of American railroading ........... well done!! The Baldwin locomotive has a nice, simple paint and lettering scheme that looks great. Your equipment weathering is very good; I especially like the Southern box car with the interior detail. Overall, the layout is really great and the scenery is realistic looking. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to future videos. Thanks for sharing. Mike

Thanks RImodeler79 ! kind of you to say. The box car interior was something I saw in a MR article, obviously it always runs empty but I like it! :-)

Its odd, I love watching switching videos...great scenery...great paint jobs. But I was absolutely bored trying some switching on my layout.

Nice ops session. Greenville is looking good. I particularly like the backscene and trees on the curved section.

      +Alcanman1 cheers .. I haven't done any work on it for ages .. perhaps I should ;-)

I think you reach a stage with a smal layout where there is not much more you can add other than a few small details. I never seem to get round to adding those small details.I'm currently rebuilding Marlborough without a run-around. The run-around was just to short and switching became too much like a puzzle. If I had more space I would build a layout using Greenville as the basis for a track plan. The longer run-around works well for switching.

Alcanman1 you're right.. I'm enjoying running it but already thinking about the next one :-)

Nice video, where did you get the Parks Blazer??? 5 Boro to. I worked for Parks and I lettered the vehicles.

Thanks Joe.. I picked up a couple of Trident vehicles on ebay I believe..being in the UK, HO vehicles suitable for North America are surprisingly tricky to get hold of

What manufacturer made the loco and did it come with sound or did you have to install a sound decoder?

+GunDoc39402 hi .. it's a Bowser model. I bought it second hand and it had a tsunami already fitted. Not quite as nice as the factory loksound on my Bowser Baldwin switcher but still a nice alco burble :-)

      Is it a good puller?

    • @moghobbystuff

GunDoc39402 to be honest, with my layout it's not really a factor.. it has no issue with the half a dozen cars (nmra weights) it needs to work.
