I honestly study this video over and over again! I've always adored layering but never been able to figure out how to do it well. Now when I need outfit inspiration, I watch this and go to town on my wardrobe. It's just such a brilliant video! 🤓

Trinny, that first shirt is best out. It hangs low and make your legs look so long ! And those cropped trousers shorten your legs. I will never wear cropped trousers and I have long legs

Thanks again Trinny! Some great ideas. I've noticed that you don't wear skirts. I like skirts but find them a little tricky so end up wearing pants instead. Would love to hear some ways to incorporate skirts into a wardrobe.

Trinny, I have a few of these long sweater coats and I found out that they are useless in most kinds of weather, either much too hot or not warm enough, but I loved the length of them and the coziness of them. When seeing how you layer coats, vests, shirts, blazers, I feel like I am learning to take a beautiful piece and make it more functional (aka warmer) by adding a fuctional layer like a hoodie or a puffer (both of which you would never, but I'm american?) and it makes it so I don't have to wait for that one perfect 63 degree day which happens twice a year to wear the beautiful sweater coat. Thank you!

It’s funny because just before trinny mentions the Japanese being good at layering , I was just thinking how her style very much has a Japanese look sometimes. But as a menopausal woman, I think I would get too hot with all the layers unfortunately. Thanks for the share , always a lovely watch xx
Yes, but the beauty of layering is you can always take a layer off as opposed to wearing just one thick sweater and being boiling but unable to shed a layer to cool off.

Fantastic value in this video thank you! Would you do a session on necklines? I'm never sure what is the most flattering or why and I get confused on how to wear necklaces when the neckline isn't straightforward like a crewneck or a v-neck.

Excellent and beautiful. I can see that I need some thin layers. However, I am an inverted triangle, 5 ft 2 inch and have a longer body than legs. How am I going to look terrific when layering? How do you stay cool in the summer? I can see this in winter in which I need the added warmth. Enjoying your ideas. You see things differently and I am learning. Many thanks
When it still hot and I want to layer, I tight my thigh-length light-weight kimono at waist, over my long dress.My bf said it’s a runaway princess style haha

So wonderful! Trinny, you are a total charmer. My proportions are the opposite of yours, i.e. long legs and a shorter body, but many of the principles here I will try to adapt and see if they work. Certainly agree that it takes some thought and planning for that wow moment! Love your videos.

Trinny, I just bought an oversized fur gilet, I'm 5'3" and pear shape. I want to alter it to fit me, it goes almost to my ankles . Would you say all gilets need to hit right past the knee/ top of the calf?

I always through a gilet was a padded sleeve-less jacket.
It is. Also known as a body warmer. However, many of the ones in thinner fabrics were more like waistcoats.
Cardigans are trendy now. Would you consider doing cardigan video including what length, colour and fit and what goes with what that kind of thing.

Weird... I'm actually the same shape as trinny just a 5ft 4 version. Ive been layering my clothes for years... I just always thought everything looks cooler on me that way..... Turns out I may have been subconsciously reproportioning my tiny legs all this time! Haha xxx
