100% agree with you that HIGH NOTE is not necessary to be an excellent singer. Singer is a story teller, a conveyer, in a melodic way. DSCT sings everysong with excellent emotions, dynamic and thr listener feel it. Peoples who speak and understand Malay Language will definitely fall for DSCT's voice and her personallity.
DSCT= Dato Seri SiTi.
She is such a humble person. Never seen her in anger throughout her life as a singer. Even at one occasion this veteran singer tried to sabotage her over. She managed to identify who. But she just remain calm composed and even forgiven her. Noble person and a good Muslim too. She does a lot of donations to the orphanage and many occasions she will sing for free for a good cause.
Three years ago, I got the opportunity to hear Dato Siti singing live🥰 guess what guys watching her live gives me freaking goosebumps cause she sounds so good😭 literally I love her voice

when you cover a song or sing any song that only cover 1 or 2 octaves that is more than enough..less is better💜💜💜because the important thing is, the message of the song needs to be delivered..
some singers tend to show off high note and at certain point it is UNNECESSARY...
Absolutely agree with u.most of d songs xcept kasihmu selamanya are on average on high pitch n i do agree with yazik high note is not everything. Less is more.tok ti has wisely made use of her vocal to keep up with her age n thats y she could preserve her vocal which is more stronger powerfull n l do prefer her thick voice .

One of the legendary singer with "telan kaset" title, which mean, whenever she sang in live, it is the same or much better from the recording! Now that is true singer! Today many of singer too much depending on autotune on their voice in recording, and when they sing in live it was disaster!! Good to hear in youtube but not in real life, unless siti, and some others legend singer...they are true of voice! Etc awie, Amy search, and many more...

I got teary eyes everytime i listened to this song. You will really can feel it if you know the meaning. I can't help but think about my mom. The fear for losing her, esp now that she is not as healthy as her before. I just hope she will back to her healthy and happy self 😔
The song is used for a backdrop of a tv drama. I was not particularly a fan but while watching the drama her song really seared into my soul and I can't really get it out. Nobody else could deliver such deep emotion. Of course the song is about how deep the love of a woman for her man.

I agree...... singing isnt all bout high notes... yet its gud to have such range.. u can be a good contralto to sing Ballad like most Sopranos do. U can be a good bass/baritone too to sing any kinda genre.

For me, singer don't have to always use High note to show their range or good singer. I consider singer is good when they convey the emotion of the song. Because we all know there is story behind every song (Happy/Sad/Heartbreak/Darkness/Joyfull and much more), so i want the singer to able make me feel what they try sang. There is no limit on how to create music and sing it, but to bring emotion that what make the song precious.

Yap Loy mid belt ni macam belting pertengahan. Kita ada 3 belt orang panggil low, mid and high. Lepas tu cara belting pun banyak ada yang ok ada yang tak ok. Nak terang panjang 😂🙏. Maybe ada yang lebih rajin utk terangkan. Mid belt start from B4 to D5. Kalau perasan yazik akan cakap tokti ada golden D5. Kebanyakan note tokti menyerlah semua di mid belt and low note. Kalau salah betulkan. 🙏

Yap Loy jaclyn victor wak. cumanya jaclyn versi chesty mix while ernie versi heady mix. Jaclyn juga walaupun soprano she’s good jugak dekat low note sebab mampu support octave 3 tapi when come to octave 6 she can hit je without sustain it. while ernie pulak boleh reach octave 6 easily dan boleh sustain it but sangat susah untuk support low note even octave 3. Tokti mezzo soprano good both low and high registers cth penyanyi lain aina abdul (saya fan aina jugak)🙈
