There's a proverb in Malay, 'Bergantung tak bertali', which means when in a marriage a husband left or ignored his wife without divorce and support for living. If I'm not mistaken this song is written by the writer to portray the sadness, disappointment, anger and resentment of a woman who's left by her husband who found a new love. What I also felt from the song is the husband still meet her (came back home) once in a while just to mention her mistakes and faults during their marriage (that's why he find a new one), so she felt tired, angry and just want to be freed from this hell of marriage, but her husband just won't divorce her. Something like that. Hopefully it helps.

This performance was quite emotional for Misha as she's been away for quite a while (I think she had a kid). This was her first single since the mid- or late 2000s, if I'm not mistaken. I can only imagine what it felt like at that moment, receiving the validation that she's *still* relevant and appreciated by her fans and colleagues in the industry. She's a star, but she's not adored like Siti, who is everyone's darling. She's just Misha Omar. And this was her magnificent comeback.
This was her big come back in the industry after a few years hiatus taking care her kid.
Tbh yazikk. If u wanna hear a high note vocal she's not the one. But if u wanna feel the song,the stories behind it and make u goosebump,u can count on her. She is the one and only in mlysia so far that can bring u into the song. Even if u dont understand every single of word she sang.she can make u feel it. The growling also one of her best "tools" ever.

yazikk...when syafiqe mention about 'berhantu' (ghostly)...she also got a ghostly song 'Pulangkan' ( Return To Me ) from ost film Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam ( Vampire of the Harum Sundal Malam Flower ).. she can sang the ghostly ost song that can 'haunted' people with her emotional creepy but very lovely voice.. if you know malay lyrics then you will feel the sorrow of the pity vampire been killed and taken her child and her happinest..

Misha Omar is a senior singer in Malaysia. And she wond few times this competition you watched.
Most of Misha Omar's songs is REALLY, SUPER REALLY DAMN hard in term of vocal range!
Since she was started singing like 10-15 years ago, her songs mostly driving by most emotion and meaningful lyrics.
She is one of VERY few singers that can delivered an emotion while singging, along side with Shila Amzah of course😉.
After she started to make a comeback like 2-3 years ago, her vocal technique much more better especially on how to express her feeling.
Because the level of difficulty of most of her songs, Misha Omar is always on top!
And yes, this song, Sampai Bila ( Until When ) is one of the HARDEST song in term of vocal range, technique in the past 3 years.
Until this moment, no can sing better than herself. People may able to sing but when it comes to emotional expression, none can beat hear. That's why she won The Best Vocal in AJL 33!

We Malaysian appreciate singers with a variety of voices. It's not about who can belts the highest or who has the most powerful voices. It's about the uniqueness of the voice. That's why the only singers who can really make it in the Malaysian music industry is someone that has a unique voice and recognisable such as Siti Nurhaliza, Ziana Zain, Ning Baizura, Shila Majid, Ella, Misha Omar, Dayang Nurfaizah, Jamal Abdillah, M Nasir, Anuar Zain & many more which is from a senior generation. All of them has a very recognisable voice that even when you close your eyes you can tell that's their voice. I am so proud as Malaysian that we see talent that way not just about high notes or who can scream the loudest. Younger generation Malaysian singers doesn't have it that's why they cannot stay relevant for even 10 years.
