Fun fact, there is an invisible autopilot, if you setup keybindings or have an external control for them you can use it. Turns the plane into a fun IFR choice for vatsim
This is very cool. Never used MFS but am a Kiwi and a lot of our Air Force Pilots got to fly these things (and Skyhawks) prior to 2001. Always wondered how much fun they had with them.
This jet behaves like early release aircraft did as far as reaction to turbulence where it still seems to ocellate on the yaw axis around the same point all the time. AT higher speed turbulence just becomes big bumps in the sky. Cool flying
Great video, and love this plane. The lack of auto pilot makes it a bit challenging for long distance, but you have to go back to basics and use the analogue instruments.
Well, yes it can be controlled using the autopilot keybindings. In the comments for #Untitled Projects' "FS2020 MB 339 manual navigation using just instruments" YT video (th-cam.com/video/080DWOo36V4/w-d-xo.html), find and read *both* of the comments by Ricky Smith. One is a reply to the post: "does this plane have autopilot?". He explains it well enough for you to get started.
Doesn't work now with the new world update Vlll that just came out,. i hope he Updates it. >it needs it. because it was enjoyable to fly when it worked.
It takes forever to lose speed at idle in level flight not sure if thats right. It took me around 45 seconds on level flight at idle to go from 200 kts to 100kts
In the process of flying this little minx from East coast to west coast. Grand Canyon was a Blast.

My High Scholl was lined up with runway 20 at SPLP I have seen so many of these on approach. Is nice to finally be able to fly them :)
Nice vid and I see 5his airplane is coming to dcs now.
How do u make your voice sound like radio chatter
Australia used them as well for training and for the Roulettes Aerobatic Team.
The RAAF had the earlier MB 326. I think the Kiwis had this though.

It trims out pretty nicely too in my experience, so it's not the worst plane in the sim to keep straight and level

Using the speed brake will help.
