I've been watching Wyoming weather for 3 years now. This winter 2023-2024 looked to be mild. I do better in cold than hot so your temps really don't worry me that much. I'm moving there this summer and plan on being in a place before September.
Thats great! It does get hot but not for long. Let me know if you would like help finding a home! alisha@casperpowerhouse.com Hope to hear from you soon!
@@alishacollinsrealestate Thank you so much, I was going to you when I'm ready. I'm starting off renting in Casper for year to get the lay of the land.
Moved here in October 2022. That was a heck of a winter. I get everyone talking about the cold but after spending my ENTIRE life on the east coast and over 40+ years in GA/FL - let me just say every place has its crappy weather. I’ll take WY over any place else. Yeah the wind can be a bit much at times but the spring/summer/fall is worth it! Try the southeast in July and august! Temps well into the high 90s up to the low 100s and overnight lows in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Then add in humidity in the 50%+ range! It’s beyond miserable!
I've lived in Casper for 10 years. Since moving from California where the city we lived in was number 1 in the nation for its bad air, I can tell you the wind is a matter of perspective. Yes, I've had to learn a few things about living in the wind but having been on the other side, I much prefer a place where the wind keeps the air clean. 💨🌞
I crack up at all the exaggerated claims people make about Wyoming winters. The typical winter day is pretty mild. Since the mid. 80s most winters have not been too bad, just the occasional cold snap. I might correct this vid about summer temps though the Big Horn and Powder River basins in northern Wyoming usually get the hottest summers, always hitting 100 or more for a few days, because these areas are lower elevation than most of the rest of the state. Your sure right about the wind, if you don't like wind Wyoming is not for you.
Experts can't decide what's tougher in Wyoming? The Weather? Or it's people...... Alisha FYI, there's only 2 seasons in Wyoming, not 4.........Winter and road construction...........Carry on........

Thanks for watching! I will look into that.
And if you don't live near the mountains, it's sunnier than Florida.
If you just knew how much I freaking wish you served Evanston, WY real estate...... *big sigh*
I'm so sorry! You should move to Casper! lol

So when in Wyoming, "70 MPH" is more likely to be the wind speed indicator rather than the driving speed limit. 😄
