    Californian here. California has great weather and natural beauty. Everything else about it is bad: ridiculous housing costs, sky high taxes, litter everywhere, horrible roads, tons of homeless, horrible traffic, politicians who say YOU are the problem, etc. So, living in California is like dating a beautiful woman who treats you horribly. Is it worth it? Depends how much you value her beauty. But no matter how beautiful she is, please understand she will continue to rip you off and treat you like dirt. And she won't change. The choice is yours.

      Living under the radar financially is the key in Kali. More than about 100K in income attracts too much $ucking action from tax starved lefty politicians. Owning one's home for over 25 years in an average neighborhood, managing one's food budget and cooking at home, having an older reliable car and not driving much, thrift stores, etc keeps expenses under control. If one is talking about newer money with the young people getting started in life, that opens-up a different can of worms. Unless one can avoid high rents in Kali, other options should be seriously considered. I would get cabin fever if I had to live in a state that was freezing 4-6 months every year. I have to enjoy my walks 4-5 time weekly, or I rust too quickly. We stay home at night and avoid goof-ball lefties and it works for us. If things get too crazy, we have the means to find other digs to move to out of state.

      You’re just running Cali down to keep people from moving there-if you really meant it, you would have moved. All that I hear is that the conservatives in Wyoming are all supporting TFG conman and have no patience for conservatives who aren’t willing to accept the con job.

    • @Nordic_Sky
      @Nordic_Sky ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sw6118 Actually, no. The only reason I'm still here is I have elderly parents I can't move. When they pass, I'm gone in a flash. BTW, I don't have to paint CA in a bad light so people don't move here. If you were at all informed, you would know that people are leaving here in droves. But you're ignorant, so I understand you don't know the facts.

    Interesting comparison... But please understand, you definitely DO NOT want to destroy your beautiful state with the "California 'Tude". Here in Boi Angeles (formerly Boise, Idaho), we have seen our once beautiful Treasure Valley area get turned into a massive housing sub division with traffic and all the other urban issues that we used to hear only happened somewhere else. Now we have all those problems. I am a native Idahoan and it is absolutely horrific seeing what has happened here. We visited Casper last fall and loved it. If and when the housing market in SW Idaho improves, Wyoming here we come!!! BTW, the harsh Wyoming winters are actually a blessing; it keeps a lot of Californians out.

      Same here in Denver, that's why It's time to leave my once Conservative beautiful State. Please Keep Wyoming off limit's to Californication!! Charge a premium to all Cali residents who are wanting to move in, trust me you're going to need it to clean up the filth that comes with them!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

    great comparison, being a native Californian the liberal government has made it impossible to continue to live here. You have spoke about the taxes but didn't mention fees, which is really a tax. homelessness is rapid due to weather and government (most have mental problems or addiction). policing / justice system is another issue. last regulations we can't will not drill for oil, natural gas, refineries nothing. the state stopped plant trout in high mountain lakes and it goes on and on.
    I think that there is really no comparison.

    Thanks Alisha, nice video. As a native Californian I have watched the missed management of a once great Reagan state. It is now a cesspool in every way like Kris A says. Those that say you have to vote differently, if you are a conservative, your vote means nothing. I know because mine has done nothing for 40+ years, very discouraging. California’s population dropped 2 years ago for the first time ever, then again last year. I wonder why? Retirement can’t come soon enough to put this pathetic state in the rear view mirror and head for the great state of Wyoming. There is no comparing Wyoming to California.

      Hey Scott Reagan insisted that the mental institutions be closed and the patients “integrated” into the community. You obviously hate how that’s been working out. We ended up with lots of homeless and bigger prisons, ill-equipped to deal with the mentally ill doing double duty. So Reagan was the creator of the cesspool.

      Same boat as you Scott, hubby is 5th generation, we live in one of those Rural foothill counties and it’s just heart breaking. We vote but there is little to no point on state level things and the local gov. And worse law enforcement have their hands tied by the state, it’s like being hostage in your own home . We are looking Wyoming too.

    There's two California's, the west coast and the capital corridor(Sacramento). And then there's the rest of California, rural or semi-rural, not too many people. Most of the near 40 million people live along the coast and capital corridor. And the weather that everyone talks about, that would be the coastal weather of California that is mostly pleasant year round, but venture into the great central valley and your asking for very HOT unpleasant weather in the summer and fall, the winter and spring are decently cool, but wet. This is from a non-native person living in California for the past 20 years, can't wait for my kids to enter college, because I am leaving. And Wyoming looks like a nice place to retire to, less crazy politics, more freedom, less taxes, lower costs, beautiful scenery, a lot fewer people, that sounds like paradise to me.

    Mrs Collins, Whats with the torn poverty jeans? Property taxes here in Kali are typically 1.25% of what the appraised value is. Each year property is typically appraised at 102% of previous year. How did you come-up with .71? I could live with 6 months in Montana, but not 12 months year to year.
