You should ride at a speed that she can trot in. and a harness not a collar.

Picked up an almost identical bike Attachment about 7 years ago called the Walky dog! That was when I was riding a conventional bike. About 4 years ago I built an ebike using the Luna kit. Now I pull my dogs in a dog trailer using my ebike. Oh yes, I also started vaping around 6 years ago so now I vape while pulling my Dog trailer with my e bike and use the walky dog attachment for when the dogs need a controlled run! That is what life is all about. Peace!

Back when I was growing up I lived way out in the country. We always had a couple dogs which I would leash and use them to pull me and my bike. They were disciplined and would never take off after anything unless they were told to. Also I would never attach them to the bike but held leash in my hands.

When I was a kid, I did the same thing but it was with an untrained 110lb dog in a suburb. Dog saw a cat on the other side of the road. Pulled me sideways and knocked me off my bike. Then he got hit by a car trying to get to the cat. He flew 20 feet hit a parked car and slide under it. Thank goodness he was tough as nails and just crawled out and ran home ...with me chasing him in the grass pushing my bike

Any recommendations for a bike trailer for large dogs to go with ebikes? For those long rides where he may get too tired ?

I have two of these mounted on two different conventional bikes. I love taking my dog for bike rides but I do have an issue. My 7-month-old border Collie is strong and she pulls hard enough to rotate the mounting device on both seat posts. The rubber shimming material which came with it simply disintegrated under the torque. I tried shimming with an inner tube. Same results. I tried using sandpaper as a shim and that worked a little better, but it eventually disintegrated as well. I have considered drilling through the mounting hardware and tapping in a set screw, but I am concerned because the material of construction appears to be cast and I'm afraid it may shatter, especially if under stress by the dog. Any ideas?
PS your dog looks almost identical to mine.

What E-bike do you ride in the video?

Awwe I’d love to take my dog for an easy ride bike run, but I’d have to go a way bit slower, he is an older dog and he could only go a little but at a time and slower but still would be fun just in the neighborhood!! My younger big doggie would love it, still don’t want to go to fast though!! 🤩👍

Well the nice thing with multiple levels of pedal assist you can sort of set it at the speed you want to go and it will maintain that constantly. Kind of like cruise control so PAS 1 would do about 7 or 8 miles an hour & your dog could keep up easy

Try to attach a dog trailer in case she gets tired. And don’t go so fast. You should always monitor her his paws and the asphalt heat. The well being and safety of your dog must always be a priority. Thanks for making the video. Happy and safe riding.

Please! Get a chest mounted leash. It's hard to watch a video that demonstrates potential necksnapping as punishment for not running fast enough.

My Dog has 8m, around my bike if I allow it, leashed. hes not "nailed" to the bike, like shown here. there are better ways, specialy for the dog. my dog is 60kg. imagine him on ur bikesystem 😁
