Nice clear installation video and the rack system looks very well made.
But why an earth did GIVI make them so wide. The whole bike is a good 12"/35cm wider than it needs to be.
GIVIs fault not yours.
I guess I will look for something else for my Meteor or make the rack myself.

Yes that surprised me too as it doesn't need to clear the exhaust. The RE metal cases (very expensive) fit closer but to my mind don't look right.

You are right, it's a shame. I thought on this rack and some soft panniers, but with GIVI, you get into 1250 GS dimensions :(
One cause might be: they wanted their toolbox (s250 or like that) to fit *inside* the rack.
