When Sonic encounters Eggman taking a shower, hold down on the directional pad and repeatedly tap C on the second controller. If done correctly when Eggman washes his butt you'll see soapy fart bubbles rise up. It doesn't seem like anything special but later on in water stages you'll find Sonic is so traumatized by the fart bubbles he will refuse to breathe from the air bubbles. This makes it far more challenging to beat any water stages.
what is amazing is that i can tell it's an animation by the literal first frame of sonic walking. (i mean, ignoring the 4th wall break before it). the correct acceleration is engraved in my mind

Robotnic knew he was there, he was trying to tempt Sonic over to join him in the shower. Why else did he wash that ass so many times, he was being a tease. He didn't want to pretend to drop the soap to avoid being too obvious.
