Then I found out if you get an S TV when it would cause you to go over 999 rings, it changes the ring numbers into letters or weird number symbols. Curiosity brain wonders how far does it go, does it turn into even more weird stuff the more and more rings you get? How high can it go? What happens when it runs out of letters/numbers to use? I COULD just hit one TV at a time, but I could probably see how weird it gets even faster if I lined up a bunch of TVs and spin dashed them. So I did. The first few times, I only used a few TVs, it severely lagged the game but didn't crash it. Oooooo I wonder what happens if you line up even more! Boom, game crash, back to sonic and knuckles, wow that's cool! And that's how it's possible to discover that. I never posted about it or anything back then, it's just a fun thing I did myself, so if knowledge of it is online, I guarantee was discovered separately, possibly even this same way, by multiple curious people.
The reason is actually because the game tries to run the super transformation for *every* monitor you just broke, which causes it to overflow and destroy other important areas of code.

I can't remember which is which, but trying to go super will change you from light blue Sonic to red Sonic. Or possibly vice-versa. I'd have to check to remember.
I remember finding that row of monitors in hidden palace with tails! I loved exploring every corner of these levels and like to see devs put in these very hidden secrets.

Katakana is used when robots talk (in comics, etc.) and was historically used for things like telegrams, etc. Think of it like seeing digital LED display letters vs handwritten ones. Side note: Katakana is also used for foreign loan words & names, sound FX and when foreign speakers talk. Also used to amplify native words that are usually written with kanji/hiragana, to make them stand out & pop (have impact)!

So the prototype only contains data for the aspects of Tails that are new and not recycled from Sonic 3. Fair enough: the game is probably just programmed to seek data from the Sonic 3 file sets and comes up blank when it doesn't find them.
