The Evertune truly exposes tolerance differences between identical string sets. Definitely double check the intonation too as that can be a little bit out from one string set to the next. Any needed adjustments are typically very minor though as demonstrated. It is an awesome piece of tech and even as I home office ultra casual hobbyist player I want it on all my guitars. Love the content!
I got my first Evertune guitar a week or two ago, an M-1007ET, and your videos have been a great help. Plus I'm a bit of an ESP fanboy, so it's cool seeing your collection and hearing anecdotes about the company too!
String manufacturers use metal dies to size the wire. These dies wear during production and are replaced once the string diameter goes out of tolerance. The tolerance is very tight, so the variation is small, but there will be variation.
I got my first Evertune-equipped guitar last year (Solar T1.6), absolutely love it. Interested to see what they come up with in the future, if/when they release a bass version it would be a game changer I reckon
The evertune is a bit squirly till you get the hang of it. I like it for super low tuning and that you can hammer the guitar without worrying about mashing the frets too hard. String changes are way quicker, which you just proved. My only real complaint is, on mine, it can sound a bit ‘mechanical’, for lack of a better term. Theres alot of parts in there haha. I bought mine used though so…Great vid man!! 🤘
I heard of the ET when I came across this guy named Andy James doing this thing called “Welcome to the crazy maze”. If you haven’t heard that yet, be prepared to have your jaw drop! Dude is an Olympic level shredder, but IMO they are a dime a dozen. Andy is an absolute monster composer with stunning feel. He manages to kinda take a solo and turn it into a rhythm/riff. I’ve noticed you do a bit of that meticulously crafted style of writing that I don’t really have a name for, but dig so much more than the gymnastics just for the sake of it type thing. “Solos that you can sing and dance to”. There’s a name for an instructional course!😂🤘🏻
Your solos on SIX really stands out as the style of composition I’m on about. It’s almost a vocal line, in the same vein as EVH pulled off in “Push Comes To Shove”. You can almost sing it.
This is awesome I don't own a guitar with an evertune yet but I've been really interested in trying one out. Might eventually get a solar guitar with an evertune! 🤘🤘
I wonder if you stretched the c & g, or let it sit for 5 or 10 minutes, if the bridge would find the correct tension on its own, without the adjustments 🤔
Hey Rob I love that guitar every time I see it dude.. Did it come stock with Grover tuners or did you change them out? I am not a fan of the LTD locking tuners. Thanks bro
@@RobArnoldWorld They came with my LTD SC20 and an older EC1000 deluxe I just find them to be super bulky and made the EC a little top heavy. Functionally they work totally fine.. What makes them your fav man?
@@daneight6 Personally I think they're sleek and low profile, and they feel good to turn and work with. And that's compared to Sperzel's, which many of my guitars have.
@@RobArnoldWorld the gotoh magnum locks spoilt me for that very reason they are sleek as for my taste.. but man appreciate the gear chat with the almighty Rob Arnold! Love your channel dude hey thank heaps for that too
So did the intonation stay in. I mean I know same strings, gauge all that it should be close, but sometimes it changes a little bit. I just wondered if that needs checked too like a normal guitar bridge would, or no. I’ve been wanting a ET bridge for a while now, but just been hesitant one getting one just cause it’s a new beast.
I say the best thing to do is to try one out if you can, to see how it feels for you. I know that isn't always easy to do though, because you don't often see Evertune equipped guitars in local shops. As far as the intonation, I did not go on to check it. I'm assuming it's still good, but I'd have to check to be certain. Also, other guys have said that intonation is less important with the Evertune, because even with intonation discrepancies, the Evertune will continue to compensate. So...🤷🏻♂️
I did actually stretch them out simply out of habit... But a couple dudes have mentioned in my other Evertune videos, that stretching isn't really required, since the Everyone will continue to compensate even as the strings lengthen!
If you watch the string change time lapse closely (you can even try slowing it down!), you'll see that I stretch each string meticulously! And this is a practice I preach in all of my string changing videos. I think stretching is integral to tuning stability!🎸
I clearly don't see the point of this, I've been a guitarist for years and years, with different tunings on my guitars, what's the problem with taking 3 minutes to tune a guitar? Did you guys really need this kind of stuff?

There's a simple beauty to a gloss black body, ebony fingerboard and white binding. Superb guitar!

Well said!
Ive never used an evertune. Seems pretty cool and probably an essential for the live gigging guitarists for sure

They should've named it the NeverTune bridge 🙂
ahh nice one!

BTW- Rob , cool to see more of your man- cave 😃
Looks awesome!
❤ that guitar too
Haha right on Todd! And yeah for whatever reason, I don't often show many other views of my room there. Nice to hear it was appreciated!🤘😎
I just got the ESP SH-7et with evertune. It’s fucking awesome!
SICK! Those are rad guitars for sure!

I wondered the exact thing too! Haha
Time for another test!🤣
it will be out of tune and you will have to change the strings to stay in tune
Will you be doing autographs n such at the two day show with Chimaira in May?
Indeed!
@@RobArnoldWorld Hell yeah!!! 🤘
😂 Good question. I don't have alot of tuning issues, but maybe I should look into evertune; I don't write a ton of bending into my music....
Hey Rob I love that guitar every time I see it dude.. Did it come stock with Grover tuners or did you change them out? I am not a fan of the LTD locking tuners. Thanks bro
Yep it still has the factory Grover tuners. But man, the ESP locking tuners are my favorite! What is it you don't like about them?

@@RobArnoldWorld
That’s insane!
🤯
Incredible
It be fun to see. If you had to only have one guitar. What would you have and why? Be a fun vid.
If you're using new strings, they need to be streched enough to hold better tuning, does the evertune compensates for that?
Yes, but I still like to stretch them regardless, for peace of mind!
Thank You@@RobArnoldWorld
No stretching of strings ?

Is the guitar a baritone or is it a 25.5 scale?
25.5"!
I clearly don't see the point of this, I've been a guitarist for years and years, with different tunings on my guitars, what's the problem with taking 3 minutes to tune a guitar? Did you guys really need this kind of stuff?
Nope. Its one of those toys that has no reason for existing. I like tuning to be honest. I wanna be able to go to drop, without needing a tool
A cool idea for the reunion show would be if you guys wrote a new song and debut it to everyone coming to the shows.
Boss makes the least accurate tuner. I'd switch.
