    Love the Evertune bridges. We were recording out in Los Angeles in 2013 and someone handed me a guitar with one in the studio. I was blown away as I have always been a floyd player and never even heard of this great technology. I have wanted one ever since then.
    Looks easy to setup and they take a beating for sure. Hopefully someday I will have one of my own. Thanks for another great educational, informational and entertaining video for all us guitar lovers! Cheers !!!

    I have two evertune loaded guitars. the first is an ec1000et. I had it in drop B with 13-62 gauge strings. I dreaded changing strings and setting it up. It took forever to set up. The second guitar is the brown burst mh1000et, which I bought because your review. It was the easiest guitar it set up and restring. I think it took like 15 min tops for drop c with 10-52 gauge strings. I also installed the 24v mod into the mh1000et. I suggest every one at least try that mod. Great content bud.

    Hey Rob! Thanks to this video I went and got a Viper 1000et. And I freaking love it. After playing it, I can never care for another guitar that doesn’t have an evertune bridge haha. So now I’m getting rid of my 7string because I bought that same guitar from this video😂. I hope ESP sends you free guitars and commission checks! Interesting thing to test, I was feeling creative and dropped in a rather large string on the bass side of my non-baritone Viper. got it to tune to an octave below D. And it has better tuning stability than my fanned fret 8 string. You should do a video testing something insane like that. 😂. Anyway, thanks for all you do and you’ve been doing. 2004 Chimaira teenage fanboy here.

      @RobArnoldWorld  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you my friend!🙏 Truss rod, string change/tuning, then intonation is always last.
      But I will say that many guys think that truss rod and action are common in terms of adjustment.
      In reality they RARELY ever need adjustment. Once a guitar is set up properly, either from the factory or by a pro, action almost never needs adjustment, and truss rod needs adjusting maybe once every few years. I'll make a video explaining this in greater detail!

    If i'm not mistaken, this is the first HQ in depth video about the evertune set up. But there are some point to be made now that this video is out. Over the years many people bitched and found all the reasons to not have this on their guitars... And its partially the fault of the big evertune users for making everything clear as daylight about both the process AND the result of the set up. I think that some players mentioned that there is a bit of a learning curve to it. But now that I'm seeing the process and understanding what people are bitching about... Dude... I think that the 3+ moths of staying in tune factor is worth the 30-60 min of set up (considering you have changed the string brand and gauges). Obviously i have never tried it, but always loved this guitar invention. If i recommended it before, now i will definitely be an advocate for it.

    When you hit the lower strings hard while playing e.g. fast power chords in succession, would they go sharp as they normally
    do when using the traditional bridge? I.e. does Evertune remedy the sharp intonation resulting from sideways movement of the string ? Also, how does it affect the sound ?

    • @RobArnoldWorld
      @RobArnoldWorld  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, I would say that no matter how hard or soft you hit the strings, it's perfect tuning every time. (as long as your Evertune is set up properly).
      In my experience, the sound is not affected in any way. (I'm no Evertune salesman or anything btw... I just think it's a really great invention.) The only negative I've personally found, is that the vibrato isn't quite as true as it is with any standard bridge. That's not a deal breaker for me though.

    • @glencruciani
      @glencruciani 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @RobArnoldWorld I can see it being very useful to mitigate the low strings from going sharp if you play too hard with lighter gauge strings. I would probably set my G B & E strings so the bends would feel as natural as possible. I expect that the difference in feel bending would be similar to going from a fixed bridge to a floating tremolo.

    After going up in gauge did you have to adjust the trus rod? Usually after going thicker with the gauge, I have to adjust the trus a bit. So I wonder after doing that if you had to, did you need to adjust the intonation like a regular guitar, or does the evertune just keep u locked in? I’m assuming it’s like a normal guitar, but I figured I’d ask ya.

    • @RobArnoldWorld
      @RobArnoldWorld  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did not make any truss adjustments, and I did make intonation adjustments which I went over in detail during the video!

    Great video. If this was covered, I forgot and apologize but:
    The pitch of my strings do slightly change while turning tuner heads when I’m in zone 2. Could this possibly be the result of strings needing to stretch more?

    • @RobArnoldWorld
      @RobArnoldWorld  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks dude! There's debate about whether or not strings need to be stretched with the Evertune, because in theory, the Evertune should compensate for any stretching that naturally occurs. But I say, better safe than sorry! I always stretch just like I would with any other bridge, because I'd rather that not even be a factor when it comes to getting a great setup.
      The other thing is, if you're noticing slight pitch changes while turning the tuning knobs, it could mean that you're super close to either zone 01 or 03. So keep that in mind as well. Good luck!🎸

      @@RobArnoldWorld I’m definitely in zone 2. After watching your video again, I noticed it occurs on yours as well. As you demonstrated being within zone 2 and quickly turned the tuner heads up and down you can see the pitch does slightly change. I’m talking a very slight change. It’s audible to me. I guess all it really comes down to is an additional balancing act when tuning…if it does indeed hold a stable tune I’m willing to put up with it haha! Got to wait on cleaning kit for guitar to come in then I’ll change to my default string gauges and look into it further

      Ahh I hear ya man. I think I probably just go with the happy medium. I'm not an Evertune spokesman or ambassador or anything, but I'd say that no matter what, even with that slight discrepancy during the setup, the tuning still holds true under every circumstance, in a way that's unimaginable with any other type of bridge. Once it's set up the way you want it to be, it stays like that in a way you can count on. 👌@@P.B.R._S._n_C.

    I want to ask, what do you think about the DR Tite-fit for drop D, I wonder if the 50 will be too loose on a 25.5” scale length? I’m talking about the 6 string pack not the 7.

    Hi Rob.. thanks for the extremely informative video..i have changed to a higher gauge. All strings seem to reach zone 2 perfectly except the A string.. i am having a problem getting the A string in tune. I ran out of tuning range from the saddle ( to sharpen the note) what's the solution?

    • @RobArnoldWorld
      @RobArnoldWorld  ปีที่แล้ว

      Without seeing it myself I'm not exaaaaactly sure, but maybe start by tightening the A string from the tuning knob on the headstock. Give it a few full turns there and then start again at the saddle to fine tune. Good luck!
