Just did mine 2002 9-3 with SID II.
The LCD side is the hardest part.
Used Methylated Spirit.

Wow... that scraping off the residue with the box cutter was hard to watch. I would have used a eraser head and some rubbing alcohol.

The kit works well but those metal prongs along the bottom of the new display don’t sit flush with the wire running at the top of the lcd. Tried every which way to get the screen to fit with the wire but ended up pulling that wire out of place and running it behind instead.

OK great kit but please, please clean the contacts with isopropynol and lint free q tips but gawd jeez don't get at them with a blade 😱

i love this vid thank for the help. is there a way to change the color of the text? its orange now but lets say blue or red? can this also be done to change the climate control screen too?

Hi. You can change the color of the text by buying other different colored bulbs. My sid and climate panels are blue in color.

Does every ribbon cable come with a protective backing on it? I dont want to ruin the cable while trying to remove it

There are 2 SID versions in terms of connectors: small and big.
SID big connector:
13 - GND
5, 14 - 12Volt
SID small connector:
1 - GND
8, 15 - 12Volt
