We stay at Breakers at least once a year for 3-4 nights. We love the poolside suite. Can't beat walking out of your room onto the boardwalk, especially during cedar point nights. One bonus that we found is that if you have a gold pass or better, they have passholder rates for certain rooms during the regular season. The close walk to the park absolutely cant be beat. It makes park days with our 4 kids so much more relaxing! Glad you finally got to stay there!

I just watched this again because I’m hyping myself up for CP to open and I saw myself! Me and my family were walking on the boardwalk right before you showed the hot tubs! How cool!

We stayed in the Lakeview Suites with a balcony over the summer and it was soooo nice! We booked just a one nighter for opening weekend so I’m excited to go back.

My favorite place to stay at CP! I stayed collectively 7 nights this season - the view and the atmosphere never get old. My favorite section is the west section with balcony. They have a side view of the lake, water park and park. Sitting on the balcony with a drink midday while watching the rides and hearing the water park music is perfection. Glad you enjoyed yourself!

That's a great room and that view!! I've stayed there a couple times, but it was years ago and we stayed over on the old side before they remodeled. You could barely move around in those rooms.
We will be at kings island opening night. We love winterfest.

Great upload as always! I stayed @ Breakers during Halloweekends 2011. We had a beach view balcony room. Breakers is expensive, but the experience of being in the historical hotel just steps away from CP is awesome. I'd recommend doing it at least once. I've also stayed @ the RV sites behind Steel Vengeance in 2021 & 2022, which was equally as cool as Breakers but in a different way. Anyhoo... my brother in-law, nephew and I got our 1st ever CP Gold Passes for 2023! We are pretty excited to see the new pavilion and wild mouse. Maybe we'll see you there. Please keep up the great work!

Biggest reason to stay at HB is to be able to swing by the room whenever, even just for a bathroom break. As a side note, I totally haven't ever walked back beat queue back to the room and returned the tray the next day.

Wow! You had way more space than we did. That is so cool. We had a beach view but it didn't have the table or the microwave bar area. We were on one of the ends of the long sections of the building facing the beach. So there are different sizes of view rooms. That is good to know. I think you really scored with your room. It looks pretty awesome.

I definitely loved the rotunda room I had, but I swear I have looked into other rooms and thought “what’s all the fuss about” in the past.

You may (probably) know this by now, as it's been a year and a half since you stayed at Breakers for the first time, but towels are not provided at the pools. They give you a few extra towels in the room specifically for the pools. I'm glad you enjoyed it, though! It's definitely an experience I think everyone who comes to Cedar Point should try if their budget allows.

Always stay at Breakers. Get a king bed in the old part from anywhere between $150 to $320 a night depending on the toke of season. Walking distance e to the park, ship souvenirs to the hotel and having some worry free cocktails while meeting new people.

Great to see what a rotunda room looks like. how often can you say ‘those 4 windows are my room’.
Matt Quimet a previous CEO came from 17yrs at Disney and its resorts in 2012 so he fixed it up $50 million renovation around 2015-2018 the rotunda rooms hadn’t been used in decades. and added the fun stuff to the beach by hiring an activities director, a position CP never had. it was considered for the movie The Shining. some say parts of it are haunted.
I asked someone who’s stayed in the rotunda if it was noisey in the summer because of the firepits, bar and music they have on in the rotunda (or some reason). they said no but they could hear the people above them walking and taking a shower.
They didn’t put the annual halloweekends Bat gobos (light patterns) on the rotunda ceiling. people were walking in and look up expecting to see them. if you want to see them they’re in my Witch Sisters’s Dreadtime Stories 2021 at 19.50 min.
I’ve walked up the sort of hidden stairs to the 5th floor. talk about a workout. and gigantic spiders on the windows facing the park. like your windows I guess it’s not easy or practical to clean.
the rotunda used to be the main entrance back in the days when people had to arrive by boat.
they say the rooms don’t have coffee makers because of starbucks I’m not sure if that’s true.
‘a workout room if 20k steps inside the park isn’t enough then it’s for you’ lol

Side note- we are hitting Winterfest this year based on you mentioning it and your videos from last year. We are actually going New Years eve and staying at the same hotel I saw in your video. I mean, I always like the most mundane things. I wouldn't say "do this first", but I recommend the nativity scene with live music probably above everything else. After all, it's the reason for the season!
I love that and I would also probably take in some time for family gathering. Watching the ice carving... getting hot cocoa... those things are particularly special to me.

This is great, thank you. Ice carving sound really cool. You really have been such a help to our family! I guess we are spoiled, but I would never stay anywhere but Breakers. The convenience is worth every extra dollar. I have stayed in all parts of the hotel, once in the Rotunda to say I did it. If we are going, its Breakers or nothing. If you are tired or need to pick up or drop off things, you're right there. With the rooms with balconies, they are screened for a good reason....bugs. But that is just unavoidable. When my husband rides the wrong ride and gets ill, all he needs to do is walk back.and we stay in the park. Also, at the end of a looong day at the park, I know I can limp back to the hotel as opposed to the car and driving out somewhere. Only pitfall is that if you don't eat, there is virtually nothing other than Dominos to eat after the park closes. Fridays may or may not be open. Other than that, a stroll along the beach or a midnight sitting at the firepit looking out at the lake is unbeatable. Adds a lot to the time spent there. Also, the indoor pool can be very quiet at times, strangely but I have been there and pretty much alone. Its rare but it does happen.
