Well the Jewish paper, The Forward, also claimed her. They were trying to sneak a ride on the "Michelle Yeoh
Bandwagon", when that paper wrote wisdom begins @ age 50. We Asians ALWAYS KNEW, the older we get,
the wiser we are; and for many of us, sagacity begins LONG BEFORE the age of 50.
If you didn't write your post nobody would have cared about what that HK paper wrote, so you sabotaged yourself.
Hong Kong DID GIVE Michelle the opportunity to be an actress in the movies, which Malaysia DID NOT.
As Michelle said in her Oscar speech, "...and to my extended family in Hong Kong, where I started my career,

Yes she is born In Malaysia but she start her acting career in Hong Kong. So a lot of people actually thought she is Hong Konger.
