Axlegrease hits me right in the 1988 Decepticon color palette nostalgia. Put her next to Needlenose, Spinister and… POTP Dreadwind and Blackwing, and it’s like she’s been here for 35 years.
I'd forgotten how horrific distribution was for the last two waves of Legacy Evolution. I got all these figures from eBay and Amazon, so I hadn't paid attention to these figures hardly ever appearing on the shelves of Target nor Walmart.
Honestly wave 4&5 being nothing but retools/decos kinda helped me because I have terrible impulse control and lost my job around then so it was good that there was nothing to buy
I just realized how many figures I did (NOT) see in stores. I think I saw Shadowstriker and Strongarm the most out of both waves, give or take a few figures
Fun fact about dreadwing, they actually did very minor retooling to the inside of the torso to make the transformation easier than skyquake. Also strongarm is way better than the elita version of the mold, conversion process is actually kind of fun rather than clashy now
I feel like when Hasbro had to make a cone head, I don’t mind the foe forming because unless it’s Armada Thrust, they’d have to make the head bigger or do some 3rd party magic
I've heard it suggested, and I think it might be true, that the reason so many of the late waves of Legacy are repaints, retools, or rereleases is because they are trying to cut as many costs as they can now, so that the 13 Primes line can be given more reverance and budget, considering how many fully new designs they need for it
As someone whose favorite Transformers character is (IDW 1.0) Deathsaurus, and who got a HasLab Deathsaurus, I think it's pretty meh. It's a CHUG figure with some vac metal, which is to say he could've/should've been better and the shiny stuff doesn't cut it. He costs as much as a titan, but his partscount doesn't make up for the weight difference. Individually articulated figures, an ab crunch, bigger/expandable wings, articulated chicken head, and an article tail shield would've fit in with other CHUG figures and made it more worthwhile. If it weren't for it's more exclusive nature, I would sell it the moment another large dmDeathsaurus came out (Fans Hobby needs to give us one, but XTB can keep theirs; I have Ismenios, but he's very square and much too short for my liking as a permanent iteration).
I skipped Tarn (have no attachment to the character, though I ended up getting the cyberverse version), and Bludgeon definitely wears the mold the best. The Hot Rod shoulders work for dynamic sword poses, and the colors are sick asf. Spooky scary samurai is a must for me.
Perspective Would you ever do a review on the haslab victory Saber. I’m just curious because it has not been in any of the other legacy buy or not buy videos and i would like to know what your opinion on it is.
Question, what's your take on Dinoking? I got him since finding the Dinobots where I am is a bitch and a half to do, and I really like what they did with the individual members besides their paint jobs, and the combine mode looks tons better than the no feet Volcanion
Wave 3 deluxes and wave 4 cores just never showed up at physical retail for some god awful reason.. Also do you plan on reviewing the amazon deluxe insecticons? They honestly are the best versions of the shrapnel bombshell molds, and are currently on black friday sale
5:03 I own this figure and I can confirm it is basically just siege hound. It’s a little more boring than the siege hound mold, however I’d say it’s a buy because it’s a relatively enjoyable figure
At least it means people can catch up on figures of previous waves they didnt get, or to catch their wallets a break if theres only 1 figure worth getting between the 2 waves
I still like core class swoop but when I first got it the tabs connecting the combine mode hand together were kind of bad but I didn’t really care, then about 3 months after I got it the tab connecting the legs together snapped which is super annoying because now the combine mode arm doesn’t like to stay together, but it’s still the second best in the group.
All rid2001 figures sucked cause they were giant shellformers with large amounts of kibble. Weird thing to say when of the molds designed specifically for the series, the only ones I'd say are kibbly are sideburn and prowl. Possibly x brawn as well if we're being generous with the meaning of shellformer (though I wouldn't consider him to be in that category myself), and if we do include him that still leaves optimus, magnus, megatron, the three members of team bullet train, and the four members of the build team. Expanding out to the entire toy line, only other figure that would fit that criteria is sky byte, but that would still be 3-4 that have that engineering trait compared to the over 2 dozen figures in the toyline that didn't.
To be fair Magnus has his own issues as a mostly hollow partsformer with limited articulation in service of the combined mode, but yeah there's plenty of good non-shellformers in RiD01, Gigatron especially is still fantastic even today
RID 2015 Strongarm also fails because the character is supposed to be a bulky power house but the Elita 1 mold is the definition of petite. Even if you don't like the character, the designers still did her such a disservice by giving her a mold that's the antithesis to her entire character design.
ok i can fill in some of the gaps left here firstly, DA BIRB IS MORE WORTH THAN THE FIG ITSELF, second Devcon just didn't show up ANYWHERE ACROSS THE GLOBE BASICALLY, thirdly, nemesis leo is better in person with no dirt brown, dreadwing is the same thing with quality issues fixed, snarl is just like swoop, detritus is a satisfying thing, and Bludgeon kinda makes the shoulders work that and towline from legacy is good
Hope you like Bludgeon more than Tarn, the thinner figure suits him better than Tarn. I don't mind the shoulders, you can get him into some great poses.
Good luck on your trip, hope you have a great one I do wish that legacy Evolution was better at distribution in my area, but it was still a great wave Also, funny how this came out the day of my birthday haha
Literally the ONLY ones of this wave I've seen are Detritus and Strongarm. I did pick up Detritus, and Hound mold so good. I wanted to pick up Devcon so bad but NOPE, didn't show up once in stores.
There is *one* redeeming feature to Scarr: he's an ankylosaurus. The *best* dinosaur. ... They're tortoises with club tails! What's not to love? I mean, for the toy... everything shown in the video. How did they fail so bad? X_X
I’ve never thought of getting a legacy evolution figure except for armada prime and megatron tbh. Also Perspective could we get something called compliment a mains it’s like a vitamin but for compliments basically it’s where you compliment a design you love.
Going into the video I thought I would have seen less than I actually did. I've had a couple times that I could have gotten Detritus but I chose not to. I don't think I'll ever get that Autobot 5 pack so maybe I'll just get Siege Hound.
Re: Core Class Optimus Prime I don't recall whether you've recommended or not recommended this figure in previous videos, but I don't think there's anything wrong with re-releasing it. A G1-style Optimus Prime is the kind of thing you'd want as an evergreen product, because it's a natural choice for someone's first figure.
Hey perspective, i got a perfect idea for a joke review. Figure review of perspective end, it would be a standart review but of yourself, where it would be an edit of you spining in your own box and having the standart segments, like how the figure looks (you), the kibble, headscope, possibility maybe with the exception of transformation and alt mode, but you might think of something. I hope you get what im trying to say and dont sound like madman ? I mean you already made a roasts a man on yourself
4:37 oh yea almost forgot but are you still intending to do a review of core volcanicus at some point in the future? Its a shame that hasbro can't probably distribute a core class combier team, imagine how bad it's going to be when the studio 86 constructecons come out. Hasbro distribution back at it again
I owned Skyquake once, I keep saying this, he has no heels, he will fall over. Also, his weight is definitely much less than most leaders. On my copy, the wing tips love to fall off, and it annoyed me enough to let him go. Trashmaster's jaw keeps seperating, and his partsforming accessories are really unnecessary, enough for me to just let him go. Deathsaurus is my favorite. Very expensive though. My biggest problem, after so many months, I am still not able to release his outward arm joints. It feels like it's going to break before I get his arms to move out.
I have the core snarl. It contests swoop for best of the set. Also my Dreadwing didn't have the QC issues thay my skyquake did so it felt significantly better to handle.
That legacy strong arm might be my most regretful purchases of this year and if not number one than definitely my top three I got it on sale and I still feel like I wasted my money
Funny how Sideburn shelfwarmed to hell and beyond, but I never saw Shadow Striker at all. Then again, SS86 has also had pretty lousy distribution as well, for quite some time at that...: SS86-20 Dead Prowl...saw this two-pack a couple times, wasn't interested (already have SS86-17 Ironhide, and not interested in Earthrise Datsuns) SS86-21 Ultra Magnus...nope SS86-22 Brawn...nope, only one I've seen is Dead Brawn from the two-pack SS86-23 Ratchet...ditto SS86-24A Dead Ironhide...see Dead Prowl SS86-24B Scrapheap...nope SS86-25 Blaster...nope. Wasn't this supposed to be a Target exclusive? Just shows once more for that particular location closest to me, if it ain't Star Wars or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, they suck at ordering more product to put on shelves. 😒 SS86-26 Swoop...nope, and the ONLY Dinobots I ever saw were Sludge & Snarl, and pretty scarcely at that. SS86-27&28 Dead Brawn & Ratchet...now THIS has shelfwarmed a bit. I may scoop it up if it's still there this time, it simply hasn't been a priority... SS86-29 Bumblebee...huh. For what's supposed to be "A Level" and widely available, I've only seen this thing twice - and the second time I saw it, I was able to get it on sight. SS86-30 Springer...nope SS86-31A Optimus Prime...nope, Target just doesn't like the Commander class, only one this location has ever had was Earthrise Skylynx, and even that was infrequent 😒
Wave 3 and 4 were so hard to find for alot of mid figures, what few good there was just wasn’t found like I checked my local stores for some stuff from this wave and it was strongarms and dirges. Having 5 new figures in 2 waves that’s hard to find seems bad marketing wise, Hasbro needs a revamp of how they market/distribute stuff cause what’s current is hit or miss
Actually, my point of contention with Legacy Bombshell is his beast mode back part. It's Shrapnel's, not Bombshell's. If the back part of Bombshell's beast mode was correct, I would dare convince you that this figure is actually the best they could've done. Also with bw 30th one and half years away what figures do u want to new figures my hopes is that optimal Optimus is the commander give him a megatron face face so u can do that one time bm (most overhated show it’s really good) make the vehicons the weaponisers concept art cobra dino bot
I don't know about you guys but I would LOVE to see Hasbro scale down the cw devastator into a core class. I DONT CARE CORE CLASS IS CANCELLED I WANT TO SEE IT NOW
Ooh those rid 2001 comments will definitely get some people annoyed. A lot of us really love that show. And since I know at least one person will point it out deathsaurus is from victory not masterforce
I’m still salty about what they did to Shadowstriker. She deserved so much better and they sacrificed her on that alter of Sideburn just to ruin that figure too by giving it the ugliest car mode I’ve ever seen.
Unrelated to the video, but I've been meaning to ask this for aome time now. The figures that i DREAM about having are the reactivate Optimus and SS BBM Megatron. Would these two make a good pairing in your opinion?
Flat out skipped wave 3 with the exception of Axle Grease which I got through Amazon. Neat idea, but fidley figure. Surprised by not buying the Lockdown I saw the other day. Yes, he's elusive, and a great novelty, but did I really need another of the same mid mode in different colors. Apparently no. Wave 4 I think I only got Trashmaster, and Detritus which I really like despite being evil Hound. Shadowstriker was an easy pass, as Sideburn was happening, and while I don't love the character, it's a nice update, with only the original having a better car mode. That aside I hate the original for all the aforementioned reasons and the Legacy looks the part, cleans up with less obnoxious kibble and the joints are super tight, and articulated. Really no complaints. Also got Strongarm, which I don't hate. Design is fun, and never watching the show, she's basically another fem bot to add to the Autobot army. Still on the lookout for Devcon, and Dreadwind.
I don't see why we should avoid Coneheads. They are more than good enough and this time not stupid exclusives. Propotion are good, classic blocky body, they have all standart modern articulation. Kinda gap in front of jet mode...bruh, did you remember SS-102 OP? That i call shit altmode. So if you hate it - we don't care about it. I have Nemesis Leo Prime - his color are fucking cool and way better than cartoonish Leo Prime. Kinda funny how you trashtalk about Tarn\his mold.
Forget the bad distribution of these waves, I've straight up NEVER seen anything from wave 5 in any stores near by! good job, Hasbro!
ive never seen bombshell, any dinobot except slug and only saw like dozens of jiaxus or elita one
Axlegrease hits me right in the 1988 Decepticon color palette nostalgia. Put her next to Needlenose, Spinister and… POTP Dreadwind and Blackwing, and it’s like she’s been here for 35 years.
I actually hate those femme purple and pink color schemes. Spinister and Darkwing are cool enough to pull it off though.
Funny you mentioned Sideburn shelf warming cause where I live I have only managed to find him in one specific place. Lmaooooo
I'd forgotten how horrific distribution was for the last two waves of Legacy Evolution. I got all these figures from eBay and Amazon, so I hadn't paid attention to these figures hardly ever appearing on the shelves of Target nor Walmart.
4:47 I plan to get him. I already have kick back so I need the third one as well.
2:00 beachcombers another one I need to collect. Whether he's good or bad I'll be the judge of that. 😂
Ive legit never seen any of the core dinobots in any stores
Honestly wave 4&5 being nothing but retools/decos kinda helped me because I have terrible impulse control and lost my job around then so it was good that there was nothing to buy
Have fun on your trip!
Enjoy the WILDERNESS
I just realized how many figures I did (NOT) see in stores. I think I saw Shadowstriker and Strongarm the most out of both waves, give or take a few figures
3:04 I have dirge and he's pretty damn good. If you don't have him i recommend him.
Hope you have a great time unc

I’ve got the lockdown of axelgrease it’s fun
Bunch of new elita and tarantulas 2 packs for like under 20 on ebay
If i didn't watch your channel, I'd have never known some of these were ever released
19.9k! You're on the way now! Thanks!

3:40 - This guy... Yeah... I keep seeing him shelfwarming in The Entertainer toy stores in England even with a 50% discount..
He's still there lmao
I'm heading to London on Wednesday because it's a official opening of a Transformers shop in Battersea Power Station
I have no problem with POTP Beachcomber for what it is, but the new one definitely has a lot more articulation.
5:03 I own this figure and I can confirm it is basically just siege hound. It’s a little more boring than the siege hound mold, however I’d say it’s a buy because it’s a relatively enjoyable figure

Love your videos
I actually picked up the evil Leo Prime just cause I think he looks great next to my other nemesis prime figures
Enjoy the vacation
All rid2001 figures sucked cause they were giant shellformers with large amounts of kibble.

Korea came in my clutch with wave 3 deluxes, before Hasbro Korea folded.
You should get your hands on a magic square Shockwave they're a very nice figure ❤😊
Have a nice camping trip
RID 2015 Strongarm also fails because the character is supposed to be a bulky power house but the Elita 1 mold is the definition of petite. Even if you don't like the character, the designers still did her such a disservice by giving her a mold that's the antithesis to her entire character design.
As someone who owns axlegrease, the problems are still there, but she looks cool
I eat seabound Lloyds for a living
Since you sold that Deathsaurus do you have an ebay page or is sold on the discord
I bought shadow striker, and I enjoyed her, if you like the transformation you will enjoy it
Actually Deathsaurus is from Victory not Masterforce.
8:36 that is just Snapdragon with wings. 😂
What’s crazy is I found both dreadwing and skyquake on discount with skyquake being 20 dollars so I got both
ok i can fill in some of the gaps left here firstly, DA BIRB IS MORE WORTH THAN THE FIG ITSELF, second Devcon just didn't show up ANYWHERE ACROSS THE GLOBE BASICALLY, thirdly, nemesis leo is better in person with no dirt brown, dreadwing is the same thing with quality issues fixed, snarl is just like swoop, detritus is a satisfying thing, and Bludgeon kinda makes the shoulders work
that and towline from legacy is good
Just get Devcon online
Hope you like Bludgeon more than Tarn, the thinner figure suits him better than Tarn. I don't mind the shoulders, you can get him into some great poses.
Good luck on your trip, hope you have a great one
I do wish that legacy Evolution was better at distribution in my area, but it was still a great wave
Also, funny how this came out the day of my birthday haha
Literally the ONLY ones of this wave I've seen are Detritus and Strongarm. I did pick up Detritus, and Hound mold so good.
I wanted to pick up Devcon so bad but NOPE, didn't show up once in stores.
There is *one* redeeming feature to Scarr: he's an ankylosaurus. The *best* dinosaur.
...
They're tortoises with club tails! What's not to love? I mean, for the toy... everything shown in the video. How did they fail so bad? X_X
I got Nemsis Leo prime I love it
Also finally bought Dreadwing am I going to regret getting him when he arrives
The only one I would want at this point is Bombshell just so I can complete my Insecticon trio
I don't think I'll ever get that Autobot 5 pack so maybe I'll just get Siege Hound.

roastig rid 2015 video when?
I never even found most of wave 2 and 3, forget about trying to find 4 or 5.
Can we vote to have Strongarm be publicly executed for being one of the most annoying characters in the whole franchise
Chill lol
4:37 oh yea almost forgot but are you still intending to do a review of core volcanicus at some point in the future?
Its a shame that hasbro can't probably distribute a core class combier team, imagine how bad it's going to be when the studio 86 constructecons come out.

Leader Class Bludgeon?
Masterforce Deathsaurus?
Actually, my point of contention with Legacy Bombshell is his beast mode back part. It's Shrapnel's, not Bombshell's.
If the back part of Bombshell's beast mode was correct, I would dare convince you that this figure is actually the best they could've done. Cause I like the face, the toy-inspired head flap, and the proportions.

Devcon is very solid, if extremely simple and boring. It is as accurate as possible but it does some fauxforming to achieve that accuracy. It does have an amazing base. The legs' transformation is impeccable, and the arms and ship front tab in very satisfyingly. And Mega Man cannons are my favorite part of this figure and Kingdom Cyclonus, I hope Deluxe Powerglide's gonna get that feature.
Is 53 bucks a good price for Legacy Dreadwing? It's so damn rare.
So perspective a new leak of prima dropped still no head I really like his look the his artic crawler mode looks sick also I’m a modern mainframe bw fan and I interested of getting some of the old figures so any recommendations also I don’t want tripredicus

Wait people can’t buy the haslab anymore store in Australia has him in stock that how I got mine
I don't know about you guys but I would LOVE to see Hasbro scale down the cw devastator into a core class. I DONT CARE CORE CLASS IS CANCELLED I WANT TO SEE IT NOW
Leader class bludgeon???
You reckon they made Legacy Shadow Striker bad because they wanted to make Side Burn as authentic as possible to the original toy (read: just as bad).
So Haslab Deathsaurus is getting a re-release but Haslab Victory Sabre isn't?
No sadly not, but deathsaurus was part of evolution
I bought them already 😂 bit lets see how we agree on levels of the figures.
Hey Perspective, you should do a roast-a-mans on Paramount for screwing over TF One and causeing Hasbro to stop financing movies on their product
Ooh those rid 2001 comments will definitely get some people annoyed. A lot of us really love that show. And since I know at least one person will point it out deathsaurus is from victory not masterforce
Fun video keep up the good work and remember jesus loves you all god bless
All of wave 3 is a not buy, not because they're bad, but because they didn't show up in canada
iirc devcon was a pulse exclusive.

Distribution is so bad not only did these not show in any stores near me but I didn't know some of these existed.
They were pretty mid waves to me, still some pretty good bangers though. The Detritus & Cyberverse Shadowstriker standout.
9:49 Huh? I thought one of your earliest videos said it sucked.
Dude, I have a CC Snarl still in box. I'll gift it to you
Hi there
They don’t look that bad…
Legacy really isnt as great of a toyline as most people make it out to be
6:53 I really don't like that mold either. It's just ugly.
Just get straight to Legacy united man😕😕
I don't see why we should avoid Coneheads.
No money
