    Great review bro. Can't find that many base work truck reviews on any model let alone an F150. You covered a lot of pertinent information for the contractor like me, or a person who refuses to get roped in paying 70k for a stacked truck. Well done.

    Just about one year with mine, it’s a little more barebones, manual windows and doors, no cruise control but do get warnings if I am swaying out of the lane. It does everything I need it to and more, got the longbed for utility. Gas mileage is real good, it’s my daily commuter and work truck. Only thing I do is change the oil and filter every 7k miles will probably go down to every 5k miles as it gets older, don’t get why they recommend 10k miles for the oil change.

    My company just provided us with one of these and it’s hella nice, imma Chevy guy but this is nice for work and the radio/dash feature is pretty sweet

      Agreed. Got more than enough features for a work truck

    My 1997 XL, long bed, short cab, 4.2 with a manual, was my favorite vehicle.
    Great review on a truck I want.

      Thank you! Those obs trucks are pretty much indestructible. I have an 87 XLT Lariat, regular cab, long bed. LS swapping it atm

    I like base model reviews. I would build this same truck but add 4x4 with a locking rear. I have a 2011 with Zero options. Love it.

    All you really need. Love my 2016 reg cab chevy. You can get a helluva deal on these trucks! I paid $24k for my chevy and it only had 30k miles. Did have to install an aftermarket apple car play radio but honestly it's better than what's in the LT trims. I hate chevy's interface.

      Right! A very nice truck considering it is the base trim of the f150

    How much room do you have behind the seat in a regular cab F-150

    • @703Speed
      @703Speed  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depends how tall you are.. But id say 9"-1.5 Feet

      I have this truck, 6 foot box. I'm 6'6" and have plenty of room in the cab. Very comfortable.
      My issue with the truck is its ten gear transmission. Not the smoothest.

      @@waltgiddens729has your truck received the transmission shifting update? I've heard it has helped.

    Hey! Enjoyed your informative video. I finally know what that rear plug cover on the right is (key lock for spare). Question I keep wondering about is - some of these 2023 XL's sticker with the Tow Package for $1325, and others sticker with the Class V Hitch and Trailer Brake Controller that totals only $590. What are you getting with the Tow Package that you don't have with the hitch and brake controller (on an XL)? It doesn't appear that the standard XL's come with BLIS so why the xtra charge? Thank you, I'm very curios. EDIT; sorry I forgot to ask you if you can get a standard small minimal key for the ignition and use the fob separately (like I did for my Quigley Transit 250)? I know that they are fairly expensive at the locksmith shop but so worth it.

    • @703Speed

    These base model trucks are what most mature working class men would prefer, due to the fact these trucks are so expensive these days. Another thing is 2wd, I don't know about you, but to buy a truck with 4wd, seems almost like a wasted expense. I mean, I don't plan on taking the truck off road especially if it's $55,000.00-$85,000.00 depending on what 4wd variant you bought. That's just immature, People who work hard for their income, wouldn't take their new truck off roading like that. It's childish, buy a 4wd off of marketplace, or an atv for off roading. I mean snow tires function better in snow, than 4wd does. 4wd with snow tires is better than 2wd with snow tires, but 4wd with all terrains isn't better than 2wd with snow tires. You can buy a set of rims seperately if you don't like the rims. I mean yeah, remote start is really nice in harsh winter conditions, but these trucks today are way too expensive. I mean unless you have really good credit, a good monthly payment plan, and a good income, even this truck isn't cheap. It's current base msrp price is about $35,000.00 bone stock 2wd xl
