    Have had a few of these come through with this exact fault, every time was a dodgy dpf sensor. Interestingly, these are not a linear map type sensor, it got me slightly puzzled first time I scoped the signal wire, these use a SENT protocol type signal. I think the Eurotab 3 you were using earlier was much easier to read, maybe different font or screen size? Cheers.

      Steering lock esl went cost me 1900 pounds plus the the hire of a vehicle while it got fixed as its automatic it could not come out of gear so it had to be lifted onto a truck then the injectors needed sorting all 4 the starter motor then dpf and dpf sensor which them I did myself oh and no one tells you to do the erg when you clean out the dpf as it gets blocked aswel ,new oik 100 quid gearbox oil another 100 quid the wheels constantly out of line New tyres for this car every 6 months so yeah don't buy on Guys it works now want buy it hahah

      Few jobs done there then pal. Repairs are never cheap are they 😅 I’ve had mine 2.5 years on 125k miles and just starting to see a few issues now: dpf low pressure signal last night, 4 injectors needed new seals, new water pump, new rear tailgate break light and seal. Other than that it’s been solid last 2 years. Age is catching up a bit now. Just don’t wanna spend £20k on a new car haha

      I had low pressure on dpf it was just a sensor a few quid on ebay its at the back of the bracket that the cpu goes against good luck mine was OK for 2 years then ll this happened 2012 so it's definitely the age of it

    Funny you should mention using an autel on a Mercedes - I was using mine today and oh my goodness it took me a very long time to access the engine ecu, and do the resets after a dpf clean…
    Time to buy myself a launch I think!!

    Wish you were in Australia, I have a DPF sensor issue and went to Mercedes Benz and they have no idea.
    Have the following Fault P2454414 The input for differential pressure sensor 1 has a short circuit to the ground . There is a short circuit to ground or an open circuit.
    have looked as your videos. At least you have given me some info , car will not go over 3k revs

    great video. I have a mercedes c class w205 2015 year, c 250 diesel. I cleaned the adblue injector . he turned on the check engine light. p220162 The NOx sensor (cylinder bank 1) has a malfunction. The Signal Cimparmision is Faulty. when I clear the error it is gone for 20-30 days or 50-60 kilometers and then it appears again. how do I know which sensor it is, upper or lower, what should I do?

    either a crack in dpf itself or one the hoses has a split, at a guess jimmy, not many leave you with the head scratching hahahahaha.... hope theres no part two hahahaaha....

      Its been around 10 days since I done this and it hasn't returned a fault. I was going to add to the video if it came back so I waited before posting

    • @ttatimbo5830
      @ttatimbo5830 ปีที่แล้ว

      So you think it is fixed jimmy?
      Always interested to see what you find with problems, because this could happen to any of us when doing this sort of job. It’s also nice to hear that the fault hasn’t returned, when it’s been a head scratcher!
      Good work and thanks

    When you measure the pressure on the dpf. The sensor measures differential pressure before and after the DPF filter.
    You need a manometer with two inputs, a so-called differential meter.
    If you use a standard manometer, measure the pressure before the filter, and then measure after the filter
    Then subtract the reading after the filter from the pressure before the filter
    For example, pressure before filter, 50 hpa after 10 hpa then you have a differential pressure of 40 hpa :)

    Maybe a wire problem at the pressure sensor.

    I have a 2016 e class 220 the pressure sensor reading 17 on idle the engine light would come on roughly around every 6 weeks with code saying soot content not OK then will go off again after a couple of days would you know what this could be

    • @ORileysAutos
      @ORileysAutos  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ash build up so DPF not getting cleaned enough or a damaged DPF

    • @ORileysAutos
      @ORileysAutos  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like the regeneration is getting the dpf pressure just below a reasonable threshold and uts quickly going back above it.
      So basically if the dpf regen brings the dpf pressure from 25mbar to 15mbar it hasn't cleaned good enough to last a long time before it reaches say 20mbar again it needs to regen

  • @cliffperry8470

    Any chance that there’s a split in the pipe jimmy.

    • @ORileysAutos
      @ORileysAutos  ปีที่แล้ว

      No. The cleaning fluid going in at 120psi would show a leak

    Any idea why a OM654 (2017 S213 E220d) will not do an active or forced regen?
    The dpf will not get above 450⁰C. Any ideas?
    Mercedes are known to have very low tolerances so low pressure isn't that bad, although perhaps that one is a bit lower than ideal.

    • @ORileysAutos
      @ORileysAutos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not enough back pressure could cause the dpf not to reach temperature so could be the dpf is cracked.
