Done this exact job today in Wicklow.. Took oxygen sensor out too and sprayed extra at top just to be sure it soaked threw whole dpf... Worked a treat. Love ur content Jimmy. Honestly think ur the best man for dpf problems bar none. U no ur shit.

Great video and well explained throughout, I have a 63 plate e220 with similar issue fault code p2463 it’s gone into limp mode and won’t accelerate past 3000rpm. Had it forced regeneration and still not fixed the light is back on any help or advise will be appreciated 😢

Jimmy, you can do these Mercedes diesel engines with your eyes closed. I've noticed that most of the Merc diesel engines you've worked on are the OM651. Have you ever worked on the older OM646? I own a 2009 W204 C200 with the OM646 and it would be useful for me should I ever have DPF issues. If you can't answer my question, I'll have to do a search myself.
Is the replacement sensor a revised one or is the part number and make the same? I wonder why they are prone to failure on them so much, doesn’t seem like it’s in a vulnerable or hot place or anything
It gets very hot there
Not for the sensor but I personally knew 2 Mercedes suppliers in China for electrical parts. The cheapest bid wins. A better quality steel would cost 50p extra a panel and reduce the rust problems for around 200 a car. They build a lot of cars.
So when the ash content is high the filter needs replacing? Can it not be cleaned out somehow?

my scanner is telling me that my c220 ash amount in the dpf is 17kg, does that even sound remotely possible to you? or is there a sensor somewheree thats totally throwing everything off? by the way i first discovered the problem because engine light on dash and had a split booster pipe.
How much warranty on a job like this do you give ?
How do you give a warranty on a service? It's like asking for a warranty on a car wash. This is why good mechanics leave the trade with people expecting an engine rebuild next week. I'm sure he would be happy to fix any mistakes he made but sometimes 10km down the road another fault exists and the engine light will come on.

Surely a MB specialist should know these sensors fail. Did they not see this on live data when they hooked up a scan tool that the pressure wasn't moving. Poor
