Thank you! This was a fun respite from some chores on a hot Alabama afternoon. I like the traditional design with modern touches of the new build homes in England that I have seen. Boiler? Is that for the radiators? We utilize furnaces with forced air heat and air conditioning here. Finally, I am not a fan of islands. In fact, I had one removed from my home and it opened up the kitchen and eating area very nicely. Thanks again, now back to the chores!
Thanks! The boiler heats the hot water to taps etc and the radiator system which again is hot water fed.

That's a good house for the money. That garden is amazing for a new build and all the bedrooms are good sizes, the family/dining/kitchen is a great space for entertaining and all in all its a lovely new home. We have an island in the kitchen but it's only a small one for two people to sit at as there's only us two.

Island all the way. I have a large one and it is best to have the extra surface opposite the sink for easy food prep, especially with more than one person preparing. My master bath has separate shower and tub, but a good sized vanity with sink. I like either a combo or as this shows. Both are good.

Currently renovating my house too, so hope yours continues to go smoothly. Bloody dust everywhere is doing my head in. Hopefully the end happens soon so we can all just sit back and finally enjoy the end result (and not clean every 10 minutes 😒)

I'm in the US and I love an island and a proper dining room. Although if there is room I do like a small kitchen table just to feed the kids at in the morning.
The living room bay window deserves a fabulous Christmas tree then a small table with a lamp upon it. Kitchen is good but having had Silestone by Consentino and Corian on work tops and splash backs I'd go for Corian anytime.
Cupboard space is great but why put the Oven almost at floor level !!
AS for the Garden ? Brilliant space for designing a Geoff Hamilton garden ?
Rain shower heads are not my thing ( hubby loves them ) but lovely shower room .

Hello 2U both. A couple of observations on great house. Not a great deal of worktop , when your cooking, dishing up for all the people who'd live in a 4bed house. Love the utility room, would prefer privacy glass in the door there, speaking for myself. The cupboard upstairs with water cylinders, as it's lovely & wide, could do with double doors then you could still get to them & have shelves the other side. Great house great garden. Oh yes, I do love an island, but also like to sit at a table to eat . X
It's got a mahoosive garden though it does seem a tad dozy to situate the decking area right at the bottom end! You'd struggle to push a hostess trolley over the grass, lol. Definitely sufficient space to erect a sun room though. Not overly keen on the bay arrangement in the lounge but without it the room would be tiny. I prefer a designated formal dining room. With a combined dining/kitchen space you have to make sure you've tidied everything away prior to having guests round to dine. No-one wants to see a pile of used cookware waiting to be washed up whilst eating their meal. Upstairs was pretty damn good ... apart from the family bathroom. It was tiny particularly as it doubles up as en suite to a bedroom. I'd be tempted to brick up the door leading into the landing then transform the smallest of the bedrooms into a specific family bathroom if it was do-able. Having said all this, lol, unless I win the Lottery I'm going to be staying where I am.

Nice house, but I’m shocked at the steep price
This house is laid out well, and the decor is not too garish. The dining/kitchen area is huge, and with repositioning a narrower table one could make a larger living area there. The back garden is also larger than typical for new builds.
A side note: In the US, it's illegal to have an exterior door that requires a key to exit the building.
This house is very beautiful and spacious to it looks like it could be a 5 bedroom

It’s lovely and spacious ... a few buts ....
The heater in the living room ... should not be in that position .. a you loose space, in that alcove ....
For the size of home the fridge should have been a full American fridge/freezer.
I think all new builds should have an entry cupboard, so that when you come in from work, you should be able to hand your coat up, and close that door .. it should look like it’s not there .
The entry door ... too much glass .. you can be spotted coming to the door .. so spy hole is unnecessary with the diamond window as well.
Love the space in the back yard .., beautiful !
Love the full bath and separate shower .. would put a waterfall shower head ...
I need fitted wardrobe space in all rooms .. don’t cut corners... add an extra 5k to the price ... I need it to be cohesive ... I shouldn’t have to add extras after paying a premium price!!!
The alcove in the master bathroom .. is probably suitable for a lovely faux plant.
I hate not having a bath in the master bathroom, a lot of new builds are doing this .. it’s a cheat ....
Not having doors on cupboards leads to untidiness ....

What is the point of the peep hole being right next to the privacy glass, they can see you through the glass and know your there 🤔🤔

I’m surprised for this price bracket i didn’t see smart plugs I mean let’s face it that’s not hard to put in so why didn’t the kitchen have at least one or two for your coffee maker in the morning the livingroom should have them for lamps for security I’m puzzled new builds should be having this tech as standard now.

@MulberryEllie ha ha smart plugs well in this home u would expect smart wall sockets so that when kettles, TVs, lamps etc they can be controlled by apps great for security or just for making your morning coffee. Or regulating electricity use etc.
I like it all minus the carpet! We dont see that much in newer homes now. Thats very high for that house!! I paid $225K for 5 bedrooms 4 bath..and 21 acres of land.

House is so nice but I feel like it's really expensive for up north in Shropshire.
House prices in Shropshire in general have increased over the last 12 months and are expected to increase by at least another 5% over the coming year. Newport is a more expensive area anyway as it’s got good school catchment area and a lovely rural feel.

The Midlands aren’t much better than the south of the country with steep house prices.

The front door is awful however that's a very generous garden by todays standards.
Do the English ever put lazy susans in their corner lower cabinets in their kitchens instead of leaving so much of the corner shelves inaccessible? My parents had one built in their 1930s house and we found it great for holding our flours and various oils and food.
We have a lazy Susan in ours.

Don’t be deceived by that apparently huge plot - it’s very unlikely that you’d find anything of comparable size on a new build estate. Remember this is a show home and its surroundings are temporary, just for show. Don’t be surprised when the development is complete, the show home is finally sold off and half the back garden has been divided off to create the garden of an adjoining house…
This is not the case for this particular show home. We visited site and there is no other way it could be used to build or be incorporated into another garden.
We own the same house but 2 doors down to that in the video and the plot is complete - the garden you see in the video is the one whoever buys the house will end up with. In fact our garden is slightly larger than that of the show home too. We’re very, very happy with it all.

This house does not look new. Do not like it.
No Butler's pantry, no built in robes in the bedrooms, no full length vanity cupboard to house everything bathroom related, awful wallpaper, tiny family room where the wall radiator takes up virtually the whole wall. Haven't you guys heard of Central heating. The exterior is boring. So to sum up, tastefully decorated, nice colour pallets and reasonable kitchen, but everything else an epic fail.
