25:10 Are Marika and Radagon actually of two bodies and one single soul? Aren't they like of a single body and two different souls? In the end cinematic we see Marika falling and her golden hair turning to red and Radagon getting up. That's quite different from the D brothers that actually have two separate bodies. While the Ds pursue the same goal, Marika and Radagon seem to work against each other. One shattering the Elden Ring, the other attempting to repair it. One being shackled, imprisoned, while the other acting as a guard to face any invaders attempting to change the current order.
You had mentioned the music in this one would be a significant upgrade from the previous, and honestly that undersold it even still. Absolutely fantastic! The video itself is, as always, excellent but the music was such a profound improvement (not that it was even bad before!) that I had to say something. Keep up the epic work, you deserve to be considered among the Souls-lore greats. Thank you so much and the very best to you!
something i believe after i saw smoughtowns video is that pidia made seluvis into a doll and did everything. This would give the soldiers more reason to kill a lowly servant I feel like

I dont think the Black Knife Assassins made an attempt on Blaithe's life, I think they were going after Ranni as payback for her double crossing them following the night of the black knives, and Blaithe being loyal to Ranni, killed them to defend her.
I’ve always interpreted it as they did try to take his life. Reason being, he assisted in her every whim, as I believe all shadows do/did. Regardless of what it is they believe, their sole purpose is to defend and assist their other half, essentially. So it is likely that they sought after him as a means to weaken her. however, them being assassins, they would likely have a hard time sneaking up to and assassinating a half wolf, and at that point they turn from assassin to fighter, meaning Blaidd would have the upper hand as he’s more proficient. That’s how I always saw it, anyway, this was a great video regardless
Btw the locations of the medallions you mentioned at 37:53 are the opposite of what’s on the screen. But great commentary, diction and information. Very easy and enjoyable to listen to.

Phenomenal video as usual from you brothers. It is quite exciting to see the lore put into a concise and timeline-esque context so that many of the details and intricacies are apparent. The Niall and Niell connection, as well as the Marika/Melina relation for example. Fantastic content, and as I’m currently doing my first all bosses run for DS3, I’ll be rewatching the story explained on that one again soon. But also…since when was there news of a much anticipated DEMON’S SOULS STORY EXPLAINED?!?! Cannot wait!
I have been trying to get the platinum for ds2 recently (last soulsborne/ring game for me to get platinum in, farming for sunlight medals atm, this video has helped me even in the slightest, get thru this endeaver

Have you ever thought about what games/series you want to do other than the From Softwares soulsbourne games? Truly I think you should do Halo because it's very lore rich, and whether you would tackle it from game to game or from the whole universe as a whole would be very cool. Stickin around regardless

The thing I like about the frenzied flame ending is that it’s a parallel to not linking the flame in Dark souls 3 on one hand you have a ending where you give the world a forced ending but the world desperately needs to end and the other is that you give the world a forced ending by burning it all down but you end a world that could’ve been saved.
Goldmask's flaw is never questioning the color of Gold, because he's from the age after they changed it from Red. His mistake reflects his original sin, the fly in the ointment, given to us all when removing Destined Death. Gold loses its Red vitality, the Sun is Forgotten, the Snake eats the Seed, the Thorns strangle the Sprout, and the Bloodline Fails. The Son dies in the Summer. Fate eclipses Meaning as Death Eclipses Life. Shadow Eclipses Light. Can't wait for the DLC.

Soulsborne games always have multiple interpretations to them. It's largely why the stories are so intriguing. I love this interpretation of the story but I do disagree on two points (I am currently 20mins in): Firstly, I believe that Pidia was controling Selivus as a puppet, not that he was killed as a consequence for conspiring with him. Second, Rennala is not the reason Sellen turns into a graven mass. The graven masses are created by those who cling to studying the primeval current. Rennala is a master magician who can stop Sellen at anytime, yet chooses to allow her to take over the academy while she sits a in corner of the library content with her egg. Sellen turns herself into that mass with the bodies of the masters in order to study the primeval current.
She isn't content with the egg . Her mind is broken after. Radagon and. She is. Obsessed with the egg and the concept of rebirth. She doesnt even care about the academy anymore. And only rebbirths the students because of. Her obsession with the conceppt.

I would like to point out that Ranni's "mark" is actually not on the opposite side of her face if you examine the spirit face that overlaps the doll it is the spirits Eye that has the mark not the doll
I was always curious why the fingerslayer blade was only a key item and not a useable weapon in game. It didn't have to be a end all "best weapon" kind of thing but i still think itd be cool. If the sacred relic sword wasn't a great sword it and the fingerslayer would look sick dual wielded
Doesn’t Millicent have 4 sisters. Polyanna at commander oniel and the 3 we fight at the Haligtree. The Millicent invasion in the middle of the Aoenian swamp is suspicious too. Wonder what the lore behind that is?
That is a difficult question to answer my friend. All I can say is that Dark Souls 1 and Bloodborne hold a special place in our hearts. And that Dark Souls 2’s story is certainly underrated. Thanks for watching!
