@@venkatraman5131 --- any jobs ? I have lived in the Banff-Canmore region for 10 years, and visited there for many more as a lifetime Western Canadian. Hotels are always looking for room cleaners and lobby cleaners and possibly laundry workers if you go through the legal process with Immigration Canada for a Temporary Work Visa, many people from around the World work here, only basic English is required for the these jobs, which pay around $17 an hour Canadian currency. Most hotels in this region provide basic employee accomodation for about $15 a day as mandated by the National Park, the town of Canmore, similar to Banff but about twice the size, is 22 km / 15 miles away and just outside the Park Boundary.
Christmas vibe is so magical like a fairy tale, cold but vibrant in Banff, with lights and decorations, and the spirit of hopes. Cheers from Vancouver.
its like a winter wonderland and outdoor fire pits are really cool, perfect for those frigid nights where you wanna walk about but also don't want to freeze. Cute Christmas decorations in shops so neat
Banff used to have 2 streaming live cameras. One on main shut down two years ago and the hostel that shut down this year, No more live streaming cams anymore. DAMN!
Banff is absolutely breathtaking irrespective of the season. With the Rocky mountains as a backdrop how much more picturesque is that. Loving the lights and jazz vibes. Simply amazing 👏.
Banff has a long history of such music, the Cascade Dance Hall, shown at 3:10, was the scene of countless parties in the 1920's to the 1950's, it is now a restaurant, The Banff Springs Hotel shown at 1:20 - 1:30 frequently plays such music live in its many bistros to this day since it was built in the early 1900's by the Canadian Pacific Railway.
An excellent trip is from Calgary to Vancouver, 1000 km / 600 road miles, Banff is on the eastern edge of the mountains near Calgary, scenery is stunning the whole way, the equally scenic resort town of Whistler is 120 km / 70 miles north of Vancouver on the western edge of the mountains, but tends to be more of a party town with more aggressive visitors, the drive a little farther north to the town of Pemberton is not to be missed. The 300 km / 200 mile trip from Banff north to its twin town of Jasper in the huge National Park of the same name is the best of the best in this region, and is world-famous. Winter driving experience is an absolute must for winter visitors, but there are excellent buses to and from Calgary to Banff or Vancouver to Whistler, and there are buses from Banff to Jasper about once a week in winter or every day in summer, but make sure the skies are clear, we had 3 months of sunny 30 C / 90 F weather here in summer, but it can be very busy then in the popular areas (like Banff Avenue, seen in this video).
That huge hill behind the town is sooo beautiful and so beautifuly filmed! -20`C WOW!! You´ve cought the "GENIUS LOCI" on your camera perfectly. THE PROFESSIONAL! Great job! THANX.
I know that many people hate the cold weather so much that they would never want to visit Banff in the winter...but it is so gorgeous!! The mountains are so pretty when it snows...and all the Christmas decorations in the town make the vibe so festive and happy. I would gladly visit :) Thank you for sharing this with us!
This morning Dec 2 2022 it is -32 C / -26 F in Banff Town. It rarely gets colder than this, and even for locals, this is COLD. Even breathing while walking one can feel the membranes in your nose and mouth start to freeze, and a raspy feeling going down one's trachea or windpipe to the lungs. The nose can get frostbite easily on the tip, and if your eyes water, frost will form around them.
Lovely town and views in the snow. Used to love the Banff webcam on the main street, seeing the weather changing, sunrises, sunsets, so it was lovely to see the place again!
Absolutely beautiful! Love visiting the quaint little shops all decked out for this joyous and beautiful time of year! The arctic temps, ppl in their winter gear, getting back to normal after this pandemic, the mountain in the background....aaaahhh! Love it all! Almost makes me a little jealous that there aren't any mountains in Michigan where I live lol. Thank you for sharing
Once known as "The Pearl of Africa" before the madmen took power decades ago. It can happen anywhere if society is not vigilant, it happened in Germany in 1933, and in many other countries before and since. I wish you well from Banff.
I've never been to Canada, but it just looks like a small European town to me! Even the people there look like Europeans, cant even tell that it's in North America.
