It is a magical place! We went there two different times to shop and eat. There is also a little mall with restaurants that are quicker. Parking at the train station is free and there is a short cut to be VERY close to downtown only a few blocks to the main shopping.
Thx for visiting us and for showcasing our beautiful parks. We’re planning a trip to whistler (our 3rd time) to try the porchetta sandwich you recommended! 😁 thx Chris!!
Hi Chris. Great walking tour. They did a wonderful job of creating a great mountain town theme and not building tall buildings and ruining the beauty of the place. Pretty good place to relax a take it easy. Thanks for sharing and rake care.
I remember visiting Banff several years ago, and it was quite nice! I remember staying in Canmore, so I was only able to visit the town itself for only a quick visit. It's cool that they closed down Banff Avenue there for pedestrians to walk down. That wasn't a thing when I went, but I was there back in 2017 during October.
Banff in the 70’s was awesome. Canada cares about ski racing. Saw lots of junior racers doing training. Some of the courses looked to be downhill like. High speed !
We were there last week and the place is beautiful. Try Chilli’s and Lupo. The food is amazing. We missed the northern lights but Lake Louise offset our disappointment. We’re already thinking of going back.
Yay the Banff series I was waiting for. Thank you for another one of your awesome walking tours. Still so amazed at your talent to walk n talk on these videos. Other vloggers seem to struggle so much when do this. Cant wait for more! Btw, Korean restaurant called Hankki? Were they trying to be cheeky??? Lol😂 Maybe, lots of their menu items seem to be westernized food.
How many days should a person visit? I am in the process of planning a trip for either June or September. Prices are too high in July and August unfortunately.
@@YellowProductions would you recommend any hotels? We are thinking of staying 4 nights in the area but are driving up from Oregon so we plan to spend some time at Ainsworth and Radium Hot Springs too. Probably 10-13 nights in Canada.
@@YellowProductions Thank you. Was thinking about traveling that way next year and it helps with the planning. Though I will admit, on the card thing... something about it makes my skin crawl. lol
@@YellowProductions Thats great to hear. I also recommend Jasper and Canmore next time you come as well. And Thank you for your videos. It was very informative for me when I went to Los Angeles and New York. Keep up good work!
Cascade mountain is the name of the one that towers over Banff Avenue. It was named after the water that cascades down the east side of it. Sorry about the weather. But this is normal believe it or not.
I’m from Calgary. We don’t visit Banff anymore. Overpriced food, hotels and terrible service. Totally set up for foreign or eastern Canadian tourists. If you’re from Alberta?…not interested. A little unfair? Possibly, but it’s how we feel as a family.
It is a bit overpriced but you still can get a great deal on food. I had a top notch burger for $21. The place was very nice and the food was amazing. We’re from the Edmonton area and the drive is always worth it. Come and see it, Canada! It’s so worth it.
that candy store years ago banned girl scouts of canada groups to enter the store.how sad is that ban kids from a candy store.they could have just said only so many kids at a time to enter instead of an all out ban.
It’s now 2025. Why are you supporting the negative stigmas surrounding cannabis? It’s legal in Canada and most of the U.S., yet you completely ignored the giant dispensary sign in that little mall. That’s a shame, because cannabis is a LOT more popular than You may think!
Banff is becoming synonymous with those cities in which the state or province doesn't need to be mentioned. It wasn't being disrespectful but more of a praise to how well known Banff is now. Considering that there is only another town named Banff in Scotland, it should be fine.

I travel virtually using Yellow Productions. I might do Banff/Calgary in the fall. Should be cool to do.
Sweet!
Your Grand Canyon videos helped me on my trip there this weekend! Thanks Chris!
Awesome Devos!
Who spent there a part of life and miss that place hands up !🙋♂🙋♂🙋♂🙋♂
working holiday 2017 :)

I love these “walk & talk” vlogs. Seeing people passing by and car traffic really makes me feel like I’m there in person. Great job, per usual Chris!💛
Thanks joyce!

Mmm. I hope you enjoy that Porchetta!
Another destination on our list of places to visit. Thanks for the info + video!
Any time!
Nice video as always, beautiful place😍 good ambience. Thanks for sharing 👍
Excellent! When I worked there one summer I lived on Otter Street. Great place. Tons of hiking trails all over.
I've always wanted to go here... looks so beautiful!!! 🐼🐼🐼🐼🐼 Thank you so much for sharing!!! 💛💛💛

Great tour! I look forward to seeing more Banff videos as I go there this October 😊
Great! Plenty on their way!
Perfect timing! I am heading there in September! First overseas excursion in 10 years! Also moving there so this is helpful for me... thanks!
Awesome! I hope you enjoy Banff!

On top of that, I’ll be visiting Banff and other NP’S along the way!
Sweet!
Thanks, Chris! Good sense of place.😊
Thanks Vicki!
Chris, as far as natural beauty which do you think is better, Yellowstone or Banff? THANKS
Haven't been to Yellowstone yet believe it or not 😀
Spent two days of our honeymoon there in June,1991-just as nice as I remember it (I DO remember it being FREEZING in mid-June!)
Hi from Australia Great video thank you!! Can you show us Christmas time/ winter and how to get around without a car?
Hi Danielle.. glad you enjoyed the video! I probably won't be back for Christmas time..
For me, urban nature is the best nature, if there are parks next to it, i like shopping and parks together.
Yay the Banff series I was waiting for. Thank you for another one of your awesome walking tours. Still so amazed at your talent to walk n talk on these videos. Other vloggers seem to struggle so much when do this. Cant wait for more!

Thanks so much J! Plenty more coming from this series! And yes.. that Korean restaurant is definitely Korean/Western food with a funny name 😄
Enjoyable & informative as usual 👍👍👍

We spent 1 night in Canmore, 1 night at the Columbia Icefield, 3 nights in Lake Louise, and 2 nights in Banff and we definitely didn't cover it all.
@@YellowProductions would you recommend any hotels? We are thinking of staying 4 nights in the area but are driving up from Oregon so we plan to spend some time at Ainsworth and Radium Hot Springs too. Probably 10-13 nights in Canada.
Lived there for 6 months. Beautiful place
It really is!
Been there recently, will be there again
Great video … you went at a perfect time … streets aren’t packed like sardines yet
Thanks Janelle! Indeed we enjoyed the less busy time
Do they still take cash?
Or is it like Park City, Utah where you have to use a card everywhere you go?
I feel that's just the way of the world that since COVID many places have went card payment only..
@@YellowProductions Thank you.

You should go in the wintertime for the hot springs.
you should have highlighted the indian trading post and did a little bit on the merman that is displayed there. iconic banff story.
Please make a visit to Calgary and Edmonton. I live in Edmonton, and you can check out North American's largest mall (West Edmonton Mall)
We did Calgary on this trip. Have to do Edmonton next time 😀

Make sure you feed the parking meters. And read the signs around the are before parking.
is there a hotel within downtown?
Tons of hotels in downtown

Thanks for the Mountain name! And no worries on the weather. Glad to have the "typical" experience
This foo literally got in front of those girls looking at the “beaver tails” without saying “excuse me” and shit 😂😂
Technically I just went up next to them... that's why I was looking at the menu at an angle
You're in my hometown? Cool, if you've got questions let me know.
"Was" 😀
@@YellowProductions Hope you enjoyed your time.
Bear street tavern has the best pizza!
Thanks for the tip!
Its the Canada's Vail CO
I assumed that was Whistler 😀

I guess in a mountain town those service attributes are things I just expect.. did the food and hotels used to be cheaper and the service better?
@@YellowProductions yes, there used to be cheaper options. All gone now unfortunately.
It is a bit overpriced but you still can get a great deal on food. I had a top notch burger for $21. The place was very nice and the food was amazing. We’re from the Edmonton area and the drive is always worth it. Come and see it, Canada! It’s so worth it.
Everywhere is expensive these days. And geared to tourism which pays the bills and keeps people employed! 😊
How was it getting a permit to film there to do your YT video? Pain in the rear?
that candy store years ago banned girl scouts of canada groups to enter the store.how sad is that ban kids from a candy store.they could have just said only so many kids at a time to enter instead of an all out ban.

It's turning into a Rip off like Whistler now
Not bad for a communist country!
It's Banff, *_Alberta,_* Canada! Canadians don't say "Los Angeles, USA" or "Chicago, USA". Please show some respect. 🇨🇦❤🇺🇸
Calgarian here…I know what you mean, but I don’t think he was being disrespectful.
Indeed not being disrespectful. More of a limitation of 60 characters that display in a TH-cam title 😀
