- Welcome back! today we go to #Capetown famous Boulders Beach to see the #Southafrica #penquins which are a limited number left in the wild. In this video split over two days we do a township tour which we used form our cape town city pass (linked below) to see 3 of the townships around Cape ton and learning about the past rich history of South Africa and the apartheid. One of our favourites was taking the hop on hop off bus tour and doing some wine tasting at Groot Constantia for some win tasting! Last of all we went to the famous Boulders Beach in Simons Town in Cape Town. What a spectacular experience seeing these little critters!

This is how Spring(September)is in Cape Town.The best time to visit is in December which is officially Summer.
We actually went to South Africa in July but our next trip back to South Africa we will come in December :)

The penguins were too cute and so cool to see. Haha we double took aswell couldn’t believe there was a baboon just wondering through the town 🤣

Them penguins are so worth the visit especially as only 2.2k left in the wild. We’re deffo going back in their summer Dec 24 so watch out. Thanks for watching 👊🏼

Ohh if you do end up going Cape Town the men’s shopping is ace 👍🏼 loads of shops. Here in the UK there nothing here. I always get my clothes abroad now easier 🙂

Township tour sounds really interesting, we did a similar one in Delhi, centering around the street kids, was scary, harrowing and deeply upsetting, but feel like we made a difference to the kids we met, even if it was just for a couple of hours. Hats off to you for doing that, really brave!

It was very eye opening and very pleased we done the township tour. So very very sad that their government allow them to live in those conditions! Couldn’t believe it to be honest.

Im South African! Coloured, at that. Yes Coloured. Im sure you encountered many of my people there in Cape Town.
Im obviously laughing at the two of you; not at the state of the township. But I'm saying all this light-heartedly; with no malice intended.
Im a child of the South African soil; so obviously I am completely aware of all of it. I am fortunate to have grown up in better circumstances. My heart bleeds for the township people. Simultaneously, the history of apartheid segregationalist policy angers me. My anger is no less channeled towards the current democratically elected government; they are slow and incompetent.
As the two of you said: who would have expected that in this day and age, people would be still be living in such squallor!

We are so pleased we visited the township and it was a real eye opener but honestly cannot believe that the government allow those poor people to live like that! Our guide was from the township and was lovely. But yes so shameful that it’s still happening in 2023.

I’m glad we’re not the only ones in the wine Lucy lol 😅 I honestly tasted oak and the inside of the barrel and yeah your right vinegar at times.
Yea we did feel completely safe in Cape Town just like anywhere just need your wits about you but in the V&A their so many security guards around so it’s okay at night anywhere else in Cape Town outside the V&A is a big no no unless you get a taxi from point A to B and don’t wonder off etc.
We can’t wait to go back to Cape Town for the summer but more so for the safari part once you been in one you’re doomed for life it’s epic!

Thank you ☺️. We were in Cape Town in July was supposed to be 5 nights in Cape Town / 4 night safari but only had 4 nights as British Airways delayed us by 14.5 hours so we missed a day 🥺 unfortunately.
