    I've been using it for a good while now, 6 months or so, and here's my honest take.
    First off, the sound quality is impressive. It's got that warm, rich tone that classical guitars are known for. Plus, it's very nice to look at. I was surprised because of the price point.
    When it comes to playing, it gets a good grade. Feels comfortable, and once the strings settle, it holds its tune pretty well. Now, the only downside is it doesn't come with a truss rod. Some might find that a bit of a bummer for adjusting. I bought mine on a Black Friday deal, so I'm happy with the value I got. I paid around 30% less than the "normal" price in my country (Brazil) Been strumming away on it almost every day for about six months now, and it's still going strong. So, if you're after a reliable classical acoustic guitar that delivers on sound and looks, this could be a solid choice for you.

      Thanks for the comment - I agree - its a great guitar for the price - Yamaha makes great classicals - I very rarely use a truss rod for adjusting so not a major!

    I've been gigging on mine for almost 30 years now with a Fishman Matrix Natural I under the saddle piezo installed and paired with my L.R. Baggs Para-DI preamp. It is a workhorse that is indestructible and because of its super sturdy build, I am unafraid to perform outdoors with it. I am also not worried about it taking a punch or theft since is most certainly not too precious. The setup right out of the factory is fairly low and speedy.
    It should be noted that the newer Yamaha CG-102 and CG103 model refreshes are not voiced nearly as well as this guitar. They just don't sound quite as quite good, and the fit and finish feel slightly downgraded.

      It could be that the neck has moved ( bent over time). I noticed that on an acoustic I had. Look down the length of the neck from the body side and look for bending or angle of the neck. I had some bending and improved the action by straightening the neck by adjusting the truss rod. There are videos on line showing how to make adjustments with an allen key.

      @@guitartommo2794 This guitar doesn't have a truss rod, unfortunately. At least the ones they are producing today.

      @@ryanimpink13 Ah of course, sorry. Mine is metal string acoustic. I don’t think nylon string classical typically have truss rods.

      @@guitartommo2794 Hey, you just taught me something. I didn't know that is was common for classical guitars to NOT have them. I just thought this one didn't. After a quick google, you are correct!

      Most classical guitars don't

    • @spaceengineer1452
      @spaceengineer1452 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not from my experience. I owned many nylon string guitars. All had fret markers. Not having them, makes zero sense. If yr playing a high F#m chord, the chance of making a mistake (caused by the guitar) is high.@@ryanimpink13

      @@pbannist While you are correct, there are still many fewer than there are on a steel string acoustic and especially an electric guitar. I have the guitar being reviewed and it only has markers (on top, as you stated) on the 5th and 7th frets. My steel string for example has markers on on the 5th, 7th, 9th and 12th (even the 15th but that would be rather irrelevant for the classical with its shorter neck) both on top and on the neck just like an electric. I started on the electric so for me, it felt like the classical had "no markers". But with time, I got used to it.
