It's really them. They are old af but they do live shows. They got a big back catalogue of tracks. Great reaction content and genuinely good bars that are better than most. They roll hard
they missed every single double, and just talked about whether they had ghostwriters or help. Yeah they defo have help, but there's absolutely no way these guys could replicate it, they basic. Theyve been out for years doing concerts on tour in the uk. Their grandkids helps them with lingo. You guys are late. Put some respect on pete and bas 😂
There's a rabbit hole to go down bros.. check out Plugged In with Fumez and Quick 1-2.. Browns & Golf are smooth too! For 74 & 76 they are definitely GOATS!
Yeah it is them and they have toured and are on another tour of UK and Europe this year. Oh and Bas (the tall one) - his voice does suit him - you probably don't recognise, as it is East end/ London accent - and really gives nice cadence to some of the rhymes. He has been in music his whole life - jazz was his style - plays piano and saxaphone (hence good breath control) - and has played on cruise ships. Rhyming not surprising as Cockney rhyming slang in their DNA (that was something from the mid 1800s) - so not a huge leap to rapping. Easy to mimic - LOL - love to see you do as well.. Funny how all these people have a problem with older people doing stuff - Willie Nelson still recording in his 90s. In the UK - go to open mics, and plenty of older people doing music and mixing with the young - my mate Al was in his 80s and busking and doing gigs. In fact in his early 80s still doing cycling time trials and used to watch the Tour de France and cycle the route with his mates. Not everyone vegitates as they get older.
Their grandsons produce the beats: Nine and Dex - Pecan Pie if you want to see their raps. The writing appears to be a collaborative effort with their grandsons, as mentioned in their interview with Fumez and other interviews. There are clearly references where it would be absurd for ~75 and ~78 year old men to be expected to know: Ratchet and Clank, Gundam, Modern slang. They do perform live. They get, understandably, old man tired on some tracks, but by and large, you can hear them over-under the backing track. The overall lore is ... a deep rabbit hole. Personally, I think they're flowcoached by the grandsons with multiple takes on wax. Either way, I'm entertained. I figure they'll all reveal how it is done one day, so I'm not as obsessed as I once was with knowing.
Yes sir. They also wrote it and in the beginning their grandsons helped with the modern lingo. Bas (taller one) used to do piano Sinatra covers prior to this musically. As for their early days well they were like that in their days
07:00 dudes you literally have youtube and the internet in front of you while pondering if that's their real voices or not and I'm thinking JUST WATCH ANOTHER OF THEIR VIDEOS and find out! 😆😆😆
Seen them live and definitely are real artists. Story is they write their own lyrics but get help with the grandkids for the modern terminology. I believe they have a hand in the lyrics but there’s somebody helping them.
@@Thanos1908 It kinda is, they use language from the 50's including cockney that wouldn't need help with, they have a wide vocabulary that youngsters would die for.
@@Thanos1908 We know that Mr obvious, so why did you feel the need to point it out, also that is hardly "Lots" is it., i would say most of their vocabulary is old not new.
There are tells in their lyrics that it's them doing the writing. Like, they're always talking about food, and what young cat is gonna reference Sheldon on Big Bang Theory talking about gun shells. Yes, they get some input from their grandkids' generation about slang, but their word choices fit their generation in subtle ways.
yeah, like in Bish Bash Bosh - when rapping about paying off the pork to lip seal - then ref to Peel - ie peelers, police set up by Sir Robert Peel. Not telling me that the grandkids came up with that!!! Folks forget that Londoners been doing Cockney rhyming slang for nearly 200 years - so not a great stretch to start rapping!
This weird thing happens with human psychology where some people initially think something's amazing, and then you turn to almost questioning it or hating on it... I don't get it. The truth is Pete & Bas are the truth. They've been doing this for over 5 years. They are amazingly talented, period.
You do know rapping is just poetry with a beat right? Why wouldn't two old English guys with a rather large vocabulary and a good knowledge of their own language and many years of experience be able to write something that rhymes out into story form? If it was something that was hard you guys wouldn't be able to do it 😂 and what does he know about sticks? Ask yo mumma about Pete's stick😂👍🇬🇧
Not only are Pete and Bas really doing this, write and perform everything themselves but if that wasn’t enough all that stuff they talking about is from their lives as gangsters in their younger days, so these guys are realer than most rappers out there.
Yes it is them. They not only perform but they write their lyrics. They get help from grand kids occasionally for the current lingo but other than that.....100% authentic. You have to check out their catalog but I recommend "Plugged in with Fumz the Engineer" next!
Mate, you are out of your mind saying that this style is easy to reproduce. At 75 ? This fast ? I think you know nothing just for saying this. They are better than most young rappers, what are youi talking about. Also, i don't think you should Dis UK rap like that. USA rap scene isn't actually creating super original and brillant rappers all over the place. I think you should open your mind and get out of your confort zone.
Thankyou! Plus if this style was so easy to reproduce, why isn't the US artists doing this? Because they can't! American can barely pronounce words never mind put complex schemes into place. US rap is at its lowest point it's ever been, there's a reason why so many Americans now listen to UK Rap.
Oh it’s definitely them they recorded and helped write it. With their grandsons nine and dex. They play live shows. They have been out since 2017. Have at least 30 songs on Spotify best ones Bish bash Bosh, quick 1 -2, mr. Worldwide, and browns.
