@@TheHairyHouseWife it’s basically as you mentioned at the end; the Titan is the same machine but with all those problems fixed. Doesn’t do a bad job as an seat extractor either with simply a fish tail attachment added (although no replacement for dedicated wet vac)
My very old Henry blew up picked up a titan wet n dry from screwfix does a good job, much lighter. Blower OK but no substitute for a proper dryer.. Nice video!!
I think the latest version of the Wessex vac has a plastic canister which is better. There seems to be a new contender named "RocwooD Wet and Dry Vacuum Cleaner" it is probably the new cheap replacement for this at £35 with a metal canister. I can see the appeal if you just need it for one job like me. I need one to clean/drain the remaining fluid/gunk from my Cold Water Storage Tank in the attic. I'd rather not spend close to £300 on a Numatic George as good as they are. That being said I probably wouldn't recommend a metal canister vac, it is guaranteed to rust most likely sooner rather than later regardless of use.
If you are looking for suction, this will definitely have more power over a handheld Dyson for sure , it's a really strong vacuum just unfortunately not built the best
Just a little something else to consider. While Screwfix give a two-year guarantee on the Titan. The one in Lidl that looks like the Wessex under the name of Parkside you get a no quibbles three-year guarantee.
Actually I’d like to buy wet & dry vacuum due to the risk of flooding in bathroom. We have main drainage problem frequently. It’s gonna save us to drain water from toilet or bathroom and also clean my house (dry). I’m in between 30L version of this one, Titan 30L, park side 30L, Stanley Fat max. Which one do you recommend me? I know you recommended Titan which is on my priority list and it is £79. But if there is better version, I’d like to know. I can stretch my budget to £120 if there is really strong and quality option. I think TITAN TTB776VAC 1400W 30LTR WET & DRY VACUUM 220-240V is the best budget option but I wanna hear your recommendation. Today my bathroom is flooded and I need the machine asap. P.S: you have brilliant channel, I subscribed 👍🏻
Sorry in the delayed reply currently away on holiday, so the titan is honestly the best of the three in my eyes and would definitely say get the titan over the others and you shouldn't be disappointed
Thanks for the great video. This convinced me to go and get one. However, mine never came with a HEPA filter. Just the foam one? Speaking to Toolstation and they said you have to buy them separate. Was that the case for yourself? Also I’m just using this to clean the cars , do I NEED the HEPA filter in your opinion ?
Hey , So the machine is advertised as coming with it , mine did, so maybe go into store and ask someone, as it should be included, do you need it ... Well if your using it for cars and your not in an indoor space possibly not as the machine is outside, and those particles will just be going in the the atmosphere, however I would always advise to have one even if you're outside as it does also protect the motor from dust , helping the machine to last longer. I would definitely check the website and the manual in the box to see if your machine is missing one , but as I said when I brought mine it was advertised in coming with it
@@TheHairyHouseWife so I spoke to them and it is actually advertised without the HEPA filter. I argued that no where does it say to buy the HEPA filter separately, as I imagined you would need one. When asking them if I actually need one, they said they can’t help with product support and gave me a phone number for the manufacturer in China! Useless. I think they’re only a tenner so I’ll just get one. Better to be safe than sorry but yeah I am just using it to clean the inside of both my cars. With 2 kids, it gets pretty messy
@@HUM2A_ hey . Did you purchase from Toolstation and is it the 20l version? Just check the link I have for it and it says Included: 1.5m hose, extension tube x 3, foam filter, washable cartridge filter(HEPA), disposable dust bag x3, dual action floor brush, crevice nozzle, HEPA locking nut, power tool hose adaptor Just checking it's the same one , as they do a couple of versions
@@TheHairyHouseWife ahhh I got the 18L one I believe. Maybe that’s why! Got that for £40 on sale from £50. The 20L is on sale from £64 for £50 Already used the 18L once and I know toolststion are funny with returning used items but will give it ago. Thanks!
Couldn't agree more, was a little disappointed in build quality, and I honestly don't think it'll make it though the year , I get the feeling I'll be buying a titan when the summer comes
I have had two of the TITAN models. None of them lasted much past their guarantee. Both went the same way would not turn on and when they managed to. when turned off again that was the end of that? It was not like they got used a lot and for anything heavy duty. put me off the Titan Brand for good. Wouldn't go near them. Lots of reviews around when they are new. Give it time you will find out just how long they last My advice would be to avoid the Titan vacuum brand. The Wessex one looks like the same one Lidl do every now and then under the name of Parkside. With the colour changed as does the Titan look like another one under a different name with just a different colour. All made in the same place to the same standard just different colours and a different name. Check it out for yourself. Then look up spare parts for the brand. All good brands and manufacturers have spare parts available.
„Does it suck?“ is about the best, most intelligent, smartest subtitles to a video I ever saw! Hats off to you Sir.
🫶 thank you ,means alot from you buddy
Titan is brilliant 👌 absolute bargain machine
Think if and when this goes bang Titan is on my list

Great video mate, some good information in there
Great honest video hairy! From the video, completely agree with you. It’s looks cheap and poor put together. Keep up the good work
Looks OK, we use Henry and I've a small Vax unit. The Henry sucks better though. For that money it seems a decent deal

The blower on the titan connects with a lug so does not blow out
Yeah it's very confusing why this one doesn't connect or lock in place . Titan definitely a better machine
It’s a Wessex not a titan ??

Excellent video. Cheers. So how does it compare to a handheld Dyson? Would genuinely be interested to know

How do you clean/clear a filter after hovering building materials /dust ??
Just run it under the tap , warm water, no detergent needed and then let of fully dry
I think I've stumbled across the wrong Hairy Housewife
🤣🤫

Stick to Henry Numatic these machines and there horrendous and with poor customer service are best to avoid great video Darren

this is rubbish - get one with a wider hose...... for £2 more. not this crap (like a Dewalt)
