Imagine if tool manufacturers gave you the ability to download exact outlines for their tools that can be loaded into LightBurn. Then you can easily cut the outline with a cheap diode laser machine.
Slightly more time consuming than ready to use outlines, but you can scan tools on a flatbed scanner and convert that image into a DXF you can laser cut. I've done this a lot.
your brands online presence is amazing, youtube channel complete with editing, graphics and a good presenter as well as a well designed website, will there be a part 2 with furzes knipex drawers?
As a mechanic, I always saw your Ryobi tools and wondered what you thought about Milwaukee stuff. You hit the gold mine with these specific tools. These are best of the best and so are you, so I am very happy to see you seriously upgrade.
Great vid and now want to shadow foam my tool wall and Knipex drawer. Previously used another foam male for my work tool box but definitely moving over to Shadow foam from now on. Top works guys
We use that foam (Kaizen foam here) all over the plant. People use it in tool boxes, etc. Wonderful product. I use it at home to organize drawers in my home bench inside. All my GoPro's are nested nicely
Just bought a load of this stuff to kit my dad's toolbox out for Christmas because I'm fed up with his unorganized mess. Seeing this on Colin's channel came at the perfect time
Colin send those guys to my shed plz Just finished my workshop, don't have alot tools yet... but seem to create cool stuff with basic tools, been building a vehicle she rolls turns... Its half finished once completed will be one of kind!!! im know youtuber but if people seen what iv made so far think they be very impressed...
I first put foam in a toolbox 30 years ago. It's absolutely the best way to organize a toolbox. Looking at your website, it definitely looks like you've covered the few downsides of foam without making it stupidly expensive. I'll have to measure the boxes I have so I can start ordering some foam. Need to fix the jumbled mess I currently have.
Been waiting for this day. I have seriously been just waiting for the Colin Furze video that he no longer has those Ryobi tools. I mean, we all start somewhere. But this guy went all the fucking way out!!!!! Love it!! Milwaukee strong
for the "shadow projection" you could always use another trick i saw, you photocopy the tool, cut out the outline and use that as a template for cutting the foam, it's easier to do than a light setup to have the shadow of the tool :)
An overhead projector for outlines would be somewhat impractical, but maybe a portable laser cutter could work? Would probably need lots of ventilation and a fire extinguisher on hand, but might be worth a try?
we'd also need to take into account the size of the foam we are cutting and whether the shadow from the projector could reach the middle of it well, but great idea nonetheless, definitely food for thought!
@@ShadowFoam seems like if you know theres a lot of x size drill, maybe invest in something like a cookie cutter of that silhouette shape? Some nice and simple sharpened mettle that you'd just press down on, then pull out to reveal the imprint

Love shadow foam.. mostly in my dewalt boxes to replace the sanded cell foam or to add new foam to an empty box, you might need to check though TSTAK seems to have internal change that meant the foam had to be modified before fitting. I wish I could display all my tools but in a basic shed with the temperature variances my tools would be messed up in not time.

Wow! But why dont Milwaukee have printable stencils on their website you can download and then use as a guide to cut round, it would take the uncertainty out of it.
