i found ur channel from ur geoguessr video and ur commentary style really stood out to me from the "average singaporean youtuber" so i went to ur channel and watched this video until about 6:24 then i was curious about ur first hiking video so i paused this to watch that and i really enjoyed that one but when i compare to this second hiking attempt, ur videography really improved while keeping the same level of genuine humour and super well done editing!!! hope ur channel gets more exposure because ur content is underrated!!

Yep NS is like this, for the route marches up to 24km during BMT and also the same feeling of shiokness when you book out from Tekong and see HDB civilization at the end of the week. However, they take breaks during route march (about 10min rest after every 1 hour/4km), though you have to carry your helmet, rifle, LBV and field pack. Route marches are easier for taller guys though.

nice! my bf and i did a 21 hour hike across singapore, around 70km long. clocked around 100k steps in a day. but props to u and ur friends for preserving, it really isn't an easy achievement!

also was curious if going along nicoll highway [to get to the other side for the stuck @ benjamin sheares bridge] was an option you considered but i looked in the comments and barrage bridge def looked like the better option instead. the walk from marina bay to nicoll highway mrt area kinda stupid long anyway. also i haven't tried looking up on walking across sg but prior to the hike do you guys mark out a route to follow and then pray the entire planned path is accessible by foot? can't tell if it was impromptu following gmaps (benjamin sheares bridge problem lololo)

We wanted to meet up at the end but I had no idea how long it’d take for me to finish after they reached, so we just decided to go home. (They were also eager to go home after being drained)
Ok realistically, we could’ve went other ways instead of taking a bus. However, we were all kind of already exhausted physically and mentally, so any deviations from the main route was met with extreme hesitation.
For the route, we just used Google Maps. It was only in the bridge incident where the path got a bit weird, which is why we had to make the compromise. Apart from that, Google Maps led us quite smoothly

pro tip: if ur legs ever feel pain while walking, running can help to relieve it a bit, but it gets pain again once you walk
