Being homeless changes your whole perspective on life. You realize how it's the simple things like privacy, toothpaste, soap, water, nail clippers, a hair comb, shoes and clean clothes that really form the foundation of modern living.
I sold all my belongings when I was 29 in Toronto, packed what was left in my bag and jumped on a train to Vancouver. Lived in various parks between Vancouver and Victoria and traveled all around BC and Alberta for 3 and a half years while I worked and bankrolled all my money. Best memories of my life. Most people go into debt to avoid homelessness. I went homeless to avoid going into debt. Ironically, the longer I did it to save money for an apartment, the less I needed the apartment. Over time, you just get used to it. You learn a routine. Your body adjusts to the elements. Your immune system strengthens. You get better sleep because you're constantly outside. You learn to live with only what you can carry on your back. You realize how little you actually need. It reprograms your brain to not want anything that you can't use. It's like detox. Anyway sorry for the rant, your videos have brought back some amazing memories for me. Keep up the great work dude. New subscriber here. Don't lose focus on your goals bud.

I also know what its like to be lonely, learn to embrace it. One of the good things about it is that you don't have many distractions, take advantage of that. Loneliness tends to point us inward and can offer us gifts we didn't even know we needed. Also I'd recommend adding some sort of background music to your videos, especially when showing off beautiful environments. The best vlogging channels tend to do this so I'm sure it'll work for you too. Not trying to tell you what to do, it's just a suggestion. Great video none the less!
You just earned a subscriber brother. Much love from Northern Cali. I’ve been where you are brother. You have a much better head on your shoulders . as I was addicted to fentanyl. Keep grinding brother. I’ve been sober for LEGIT 9 months. I wish you nothing but positivity and love brother
Honestly, big thanks to oriental pearl for putting you on man. I'm so happy I found your channel. I've loved Japan since I was very young. Watching your videos, I feel very included in what you're doing, haha. I love learning the little bits of information about the area you're in. Thank you so much for making these videos
It's cool that you came to Ishikawa. It's so beautiful there no matter where you go. I know some people from Wajima who lost their home in the earthquake but they're doing okay now and rebuilding. I hope everyone else up north is doing better and getting the help they need. It would be awesome if you could set up some kind of online drop-ship store so people could buy those stickers and other merch, and you could make some extra money too!
In my opinion, should probably keep those specific stickers as IRL exclusive merch. That said, could do additional merch online but should be at least slightly different. Limited run / exclusive merch seems like a relatively easy way to increase value.
Just came across your channel today, wish I had found it earlier because this is an interesting view on Japan, at least to me. I enjoyed watching, subscribed, and will watch more!
Saw you on Oriental Pearl. Got curious on where/how you learned English. You sound like someone who has lived in the USA for several years or much more. Decided to subscribe, which I do sparingly, because you came across as an interesting and genuine person much like Oriental Pearl and unlike so many others on TH-cam who really are not so. Wishing you all the best.
Thank you for sharing your life with us. Japan is not what i imagined, its on my bucket list but now im not so sure. I know poverty exists everywhere, I'm homeless myself and now live with my mother in law, not ideal but thats life. The british government dont care about my situation and I'm 54, but I honestly thought japan would be different towards its citizens and more helpful considering all the empty houses. Hope your situation improves buddy, I'm praying for you.

I had to remind myself _"This guy is in Japan"._ I guess that made the world feel a little smaller. I wish you luck in growing your channel ❤
My best friend has been living in Japan for like at least 15 years now and I traveled to Japan as well. You get the impression that everything there is in tip top shape. No poverty, no mental health issues etc. . Thank you so much for helping me to widen my view on life in Japan. Lots of greetings from Germany 💖🇯🇵🇩🇪.
Yeah mental health is an issue here, especially since its a more rigid society. HOWEVER, housing ins't an issue. There are REALLY cheap places to live here if you want and the gov helps. Been here 24 years....I'm in real estate here and own many home. Unfortunately, our NOMAD here is using this tactic to get views on the internet ;)
@@KickAssets I'm surprised housing isn't more of an issue considering Japan is a fairly small country land-wise, but I guess they probably just planned much more efficiently due to that being the case

Kia Ora. Subbed to your channel. Prayers for your health and well-being. From Nz
Hope everything goes well for you!
It seems like your japanese fans are really nice people. i will watch all your videoes to help you with your goal💯
🔥🔥🔥
I also know what its like to be lonely, learn to embrace it. One of the good things about it is that you don't have many distractions, take advantage of that. Loneliness tends to point us inward and can offer us gifts we didn't even know we needed.
Also I'd recommend adding some sort of background music to your videos, especially when showing off beautiful environments. The best vlogging channels tend to do this so I'm sure it'll work for you too. Not trying to tell you what to do, it's just a suggestion.
Great video none the less!
🙏🙌🔥
We don’t need background music, seeing and hearing natural is the best, why do people need to fill there heads with noise?
@@zippy7020 umm... ok?
Prayers for your well being my guy💪🏽
You just earned a subscriber brother. Much love from Northern Cali. I’ve been where you are brother. You have a much better head on your shoulders . as I was addicted to fentanyl. Keep grinding brother. I’ve been sober for LEGIT 9 months. I wish you nothing but positivity and love brother
I appreciate that
Honestly, big thanks to oriental pearl for putting you on man. I'm so happy I found your channel.
I've loved Japan since I was very young. Watching your videos, I feel very included in what you're doing, haha. I love learning the little bits of information about the area you're in. Thank you so much for making these videos
🔥❤️
Yes, Ishikawa is a nice place🙌
I will think about the merch🔥
So proud of where you are ! You’re always smiling despite the hardships- thanks for sharing your journey!
🙏🙏🙏
He’s Japanese born in Saipan. He moved back to Japan as an adult, around 15 years ago.
🙏🙏🙏
I was homeless for a few months before and it was tough. Keep pushing man
Love this authentic feel. Thank you!
You're so welcome!
looking forward to the video where you finally share you have your home!
i know youre getting there!!
🙌
Bro I wish you had a super thanks option to send you a tip.
But I can send you my best wishes and good vibes from NYC, stay strong!
🔥🙌🔥
@@NomadPush why not make a super thanks option?
Hey man, Im from the U.S. and have gone thru homelessness multiple times, Im 24 now and seeing your content randomly and after watching it, my heart hurts for you as I relate so hard and I honestly don’t know how I can help. I just wanted to say that I genuinely enjoy your videos and I truly hope the best for you, and you got yourself a new sub
popped up in recommendations, this was really fascinating and well edited like a movie. Good luck!
Thank you so much!
Came here from Oriental Pearl’s channel. As so many have already said, your English skills are excellent. I subscribed and will let your videos run. Hope it helps.
Kanazawa looks really nice! Also very cool of you, that you want to show your friends, who helped you on your skate-trip through Japan, some appreciation with your visits and sticker :D
I will keep your playlist running in the background a lot, you almost have enough watch time :D
🔥🙌🔥
I really love seeing random people supporting each other like in your comment section brother. If this world filled with these kinda people, probably the world would be much better place than right now. Btw this is my first time watch your video and i enjoyed it so much. So, i might as well will subscribe your channel. Keep it up bro!
who else is here from oriental pearl? watched a few of your videos. really enjoy your nomad travel style videos. great vibes. hope your channel blows up and you will be able to make a living off youtube :)
please make a superthanks option, so many of us want to send a little help, a cofee, a lunch, a hug 🥰
Came here from Oriental Pearl's video & subbed to the channel. Figured it was the least I could do to help. I've watched this one and will watch more of yours.
Also, seeing those different people made me think, damn, might as well have been all Americans, lol. I had to remind myself _"This guy is in Japan"._ I guess that made the world feel a little smaller.
I wish you luck in growing your channel ❤
🔥❤️
I'll watch all your videos, subbed with notis activated. All the best out there
watching your videos will put them on a playlist. Keep it up my man, things will get better.

Appreciate that
I am 37, too. I get lonely sometimes, too. The important thing to remember is always think positive. sending hugs.
Stay strong, my friend. I wish you the best. Much love from germany! ♥
@@rUSTYfrfr Yeah, there can be many reasons...such as in the bubble time a lot of people had vacation homes that they no longer use anymore as well as people liking new and people moving from their hometowns into big cities.
Ooh @@KickAssets
It's pretty easy to see how mental health is an issue there, they just like to sweep things under the rug in japan.
Keep the videos coming Nomad! Visiting prefectures and showing their beuty as a skateboarder is pretty cool !
Glad to see your channel starting to grow, keep up the hard work
Thanks! Will do!
I respect that you have very clear purpose and goals in life. I believe "home" is wherever you are comfortable and happy. It is not limited to a physical structure. By chance I "stumbled" on this video. I will watch as many of your videos as possible so you can be monetized sooner. Take care and all the best.
You just gained another follower bro! Love from Australia ❤
