I own a chinese handheld, an RG 2 Anniversary, and while it's a nice little device, there's one thing about it that keeps me from loving it...there is no way to create a 'Favourites' list, or a 'Recently Played' list. Since I have about 3000 games on it, and jump around between about 10 games or so at any given time, it is a serious PITA hunting thru systems and ROM lists to find what I've been playing. Does anyone know if there is a solution for this, other than making my own favourites folder manually on the SD card?
i thought the miyoo logo (dark orange font) for the black prototype was perfect it shouldn't be distracting but if theres nothing there its just too plain it ends up looking like some cheap 3d printed toy. problem is no one knows how to design 'good' logos

Hey. On the allieexpress it says "48 to 49€". I want to know how much you paid for it cause I kinda don't wanna be mislead by that price tag cause I don't know if I'm seeing right. I'll be waiting for a response
I am really in doubt which console should I buy. I want to play ps1 rpgs such as Chrono Cross and FF, would you say that PlayGo is the current best cost-benefit?
Yessss I see jojo I finished watching all the seasons the other day! Taki have you come across any portables that can use internet? Can these devices also hold videos? Thanks for the review!
This and the others that I have reviewed can all store and play videos, but you'll need to switch to a pi or Android for internet.
@@TakiUdon not bad thanks I have a lot of downloaded anime and movies I would like to watch when I'm not taking what anime do you recommend Taki? Lol
Hi Taki, after I watched the new pocket go 2 video I preordered and it arrived. But I can get the brightness selection to work? It says select plus volume up / down?
Well damn. I already ordered the white one.
@@darekm6859 i ordered this one as well. It does come with less storage, but now i can decide which one i want to keep.
Just wondering, would my SD card full of games in my original Pocket Go work in this or a Pocket Go 2?
Can I play Pokémon in this? Or other playstation or emulator games?
Hey taki old video i know, but can you tell us if the d-pad was fixed with the playgo?
So it doesn't matter if I buy the PlayGo or the PocketGo V2/New PocketGo?
YA IT LOOKS SO FERMILIER
I dont see any Mario. I am looking to buy this but definately would like Mario or zelda. Where do I go to add to the list or am I stuck with what's already loades
As I hv watched this video for the 100000th time, I wonder is worth it as frm your videos I hv bought the Rg350 itis awesome, new to this community pls advice. My will to buy this play gonis cause the buttons are flat.
Looks good
The original pocket go has a warm or cool screen? I quite dont get the difference...
Do these have better dpads than the original PocketGo? I bought the original, and I never used it due to the dpad.
Great and very informative video! I'm new to this type of gaming device, so please excuse my newbie question: how do you add ROMs to the 2nd SD card (the one that does not contain the OS)? Does the Playgo system just recognize the added ROMs? Or do I have to do something for it to recognize the added ROMs?
All you do is organize the files in to whatever folder structure you want. After that, you navigate to those folders inside an emulator and they will run.
@@TakiUdon Thanks for the prompt reply!
So wait, is this just a black Pocket Go or is this different from the Retail Version?
Well I guess this is the first thing I'm buying in January
"Sepefications" dying on the inside.
I had to check and make sure I didn't say that word wrong :D
@@TakiUdon Nah homie you are good! Tell the company I'd spell check for devices!
Hola, se que ya es viejo este video y la consola pero me la acaban de regalar y no se como poner jiegos de ps1, ni que extensión ponerle, o si van comprimidos o no, o llevan bios o algo ,me podrias ayudar con eso?
Does this black model come with the rubberized thumb stick, or is it still the plastic one?
Still the plastic one :/
Is this the same as or different from the pocket go 2? I'm confused about these really similar looking devices.
same hardware but different shell
would a fast charger work with this? and any reason to order one if i already ordered a rg350?
I don't see any reason in getting it unless you wanted a slimmer profile with one less analog stick and less battery life. I only picked up the pg2 because of price point and so far so good.
Hey just curious, what games are you playing in this video?
Why is the logo so important is dosent effect game play and that’s honestly the only thing that matters for these handhelds
Im from UK I just bought the pap kii handheld with all the 16bit consoles I'm very happy with it but was wondering what would be the best handheld to get with the 128bit consoles I specifically want PS1 N64 and Dreamcast on the handheld that has to be paramount for me as I want the games on those specific consoles been looking on Amazon would like to spend just under £100 sterling would you have any recommendations could u send me some links so I can have a look possibly hopefully hear from you soon thanks for these reviews and videos they have been really helpful
Hey, the cheapest device that can do those three systems is the PowKiddy X18/X15, but there will be better options for the same price in a few months
@@TakiUdon and those support PS1 N64 and Dreamcast? Thanks for the rapid response
@@TheFlamingmoe86 yes, but you don't get perfect N64 on devices like these yet. You'd have to go to a phone with a controller for that at a reasonable price.
@@TakiUdon realistically I only want Goldeneye and the super Mario 64 for the Nintendo my main priority is the PS1 with the games on it and the Dreamcast cause I really wanna play shenmue again on there and all the sonics that were on the DC the 64 I could live without lol just can't seem to find it on Amazon only AliExpress and have never bought anything from there before have u and would u recommend using it to buy stuff from the 30 day delivery wait is abit of a sting compared to Amazon getting next day delivery
@@TheFlamingmoe86 unfortunately, Goldeye requires better devices than we have now to run without issues
Can this play turbo graphix? I can't find full emulation list anywhere online :(!
Where should I buy the Playgo or the Pocket Go? I'm from Belgium, I don't want to pay import taxes :/
I ordered one after seeing your review. I really like it, except for 1 thing. The lowest volume of the internal speaker is way too loud. Any idea if there is a fix for that?
Job van Dongen upgrade to most current rogue cfw. The sound mixer works better
@@christopherjacobson8109 can I use pocket go 2 firmware for the playgo?
Why i would buy these stuff if i have phone that rum emulators??
Thanks again for your video. My unit finally arrived but since I somehow can't switch to fullscreen in gambatta emulator (the options in your video are simply missing) I wanted to install a custom firmware. Which one works with this? Pocket Go v2? Myoo? Thanks
You can just side load a newer ReGBA emulator for the rg350. There's no real cfw worth updating to yet.
@@TakiUdon Thank you for your quick reply
man, these chinese companies make great design for their boxes.
would you recommend this version over the pocket go 2?
What about the firmware I can't find for the miyoo max?? Why do they make 3 of the same device with different names.
Mine has been a brick since day one and I can't find any support any of these... I DONT reccomend these. My RG350 is better and there are tons of videos on them.
@matthew, you could have downloaded the firmware for the device a long time ago. It's been on Discord for two weeks.
Where? Can you please leave a link
I have searched
@@MrEightfortytwo drive.google.com/open?id=1uJfi2htvGDnv3v9qbXBvmiSfU_bxeCo5
I have tried this image, I use disk genius to extend it like it says with no luck still, I obviously have one of the first versions as there are only 2 screws on the back, I think this thing is a brick, it will not hold a charge either. Power light just stays orange for hours as soon as I unplug it no lights no nothing......
I really like the form factor of this thing, sucks it doesn't work. I'm confused on all the names of the product and don't know why they would release revised versions of this unit and leave the customers with ones that are unfinished..
I do appreciate your help and enjoy your videos. I think I just got the short end of the stick on this one and am about ready to toss this thing in the trash..
Device looks nice :)
Great videos. Question is PlayGo or do I get RG350?
Check back later
I own a chinese handheld, an RG 2 Anniversary, and while it's a nice little device, there's one thing about it that keeps me from loving it...there is no way to create a 'Favourites' list, or a 'Recently Played' list. Since I have about 3000 games on it, and jump around between about 10 games or so at any given time, it is a serious PITA hunting thru systems and ROM lists to find what I've been playing. Does anyone know if there is a solution for this, other than making my own favourites folder manually on the SD card?
I agree with this 100% - I always end up just adding a second folder just for the games I want to play frequently.
@@TakiUdon thanks, Taki. I guess I'll just have to do it manually.
Yeah I usually make Favorites, To Be Played, and Complete Games folders
@@HypocritesExposd I hope the OpenDingux developers can add a Favourites feature sometime...at the very least.
There's a replacement launcher for these called esoteric that has this as a feature now.
i thought the miyoo logo (dark orange font) for the black prototype was perfect it shouldn't be distracting but if theres nothing there its just too plain it ends up looking like some cheap 3d printed toy. problem is no one knows how to design 'good' logos
Can you please make a video on the details, like: how to use the system, where to find and download roms, how to add and delete roms. What is the 'discord' that you mention? Otherwise your channel is mainly for people who know what to do. Still, I like your reviews, even though I don't understand everything. Thanks
Hey, i have a discord linked on my main TH-cam page. That's a better place to get help with more stuff like that 😉
Can you please show us how to add games on this device . Im new in the retro thing. And thanxs for your content, i get me a Pocket Go 2 and i Love it .
will there be an updated JXD S7800B? that device is awesome, a switch before the switch lol... a proper bigger vita!
JXD went defunct and lives on with GPD
Does this run games like street fighter 3 or killer instinct arcade
Will it be available here in the Onlineshopping site Shopee Philippines? Because I don't have a credit card to use to buy in AliExpress
I haven't had any conversations with these companies about selling on other platforms like that
@@TakiUdon Please tell them to sell it here on Shopee Philippines because RG350 retro handheld can be found in this site but i don't like RG350 what I want is Play Go
oh my god finally
Stereo Speakers, 4 shoulder buttons, 1 or 2 joysticks, 1 d pad, IPS display, HDMI out. Seems like nothing recent fits the bill other than the older XD Plus. They either have 2 shoulder buttons and HDMI out, or 4 shoulder buttons and no HDMI out. Too bad I have the XD, I can't get clean rom.
I'm learning as I go but I don't know what you folks do. If I want to get a good handheld that plays all emulators and has all games which one should I look into?
The has all games thing might be too difficult since these are technically not supposed to be sold with roms.
ordered pocket go a couple weeks ago from retro mimi still waiting on it so i'm wondering how people are getting these devices.
These are honestly a steal when you think that the 350 was selling for almost $100 for the same specs a few months back
which is better retroid pocket 2 or this ?
Rp2 by far
Does it support Atari 2600 ?
Can you do a video on how a install a resistor on the speaker wire, this thing is obnoxiously loud. Like pissing me off loud...
Thanks
powkiddy q90 please.
Be prepared to be disappointed.
@@TakiUdon i hear its same processor as the pocket go v1. like wtf? lmao
