Bryan Ferry is a great artist and a phenomenal composer , I hope he does a full album again ( about 10 songs ) , while he still has his amazing voice !
Not since "Johnny and Mary" in 2014 have I heard a new offering by Ferry that appealed to me like his Roxy and early solo years. This track fits right in with his prime material. If it was an unreleased track from "Let's stick together" it wouldn't have surprised me. Ferry truly is a master of these moody atmospheric songs. I can see myself spending the evening with a small gathering of friends, chatting away, listening and marveling at only Ferry's music and feeling at peace. I wonder if he knows how wonderful his music is to us followers of that ethereal voice...
The greatest interpreter of our time Bryan does pick songs that suit his voice & that were his favourites and will think that there are fans of his will enjoy as one would say we grew up with Bryan n Roxy Music. Congrats Bryan You are an amazing artist singer song writer & interpreter Who makes it you’re own like jealous Guy. wonderful

Absolutely love this and Bryan as ever doing what he does best with covers - putting his own spin on them. Love the laid back beats and this is something I will have on in the late night/early morning hours whilst enjoying a nice large malt! I only wish we were getting a full album of material with physical releases rather than a digital EP. Can’t complain too much as any Bryan is better than no Bryan at all!

@@Truth1561 Not true in my opinion. Since Frantic, it surprises me every time that his voice live sounds (much) better than on the recordings. But, remember, in September he will be 77. We all get older. I like the song, it has a combined 'Taxi" and "As time goes by' feel to it.
To be honest, it's clear that Bryan suffered a voice incident at one point. For all I know it was a ravaging of his larynx thanks to what I call The Cold From Hell. It's the nasty that circulated for a decade with yearly variations, moving up and down the nose and throat. I had it 5 times, messing up my throat. - - Whatever it was, Bryan has been gradually working with his changed voice and dealt with it beautifully. I'm so grateful he can still sing so well with what he has. What a great ear! What great nuance and tone control! He remains a favorite singer!
I have been waiting to hear some news from Bryan's acc since like the tour had to be cancelled due to the pandemic and today i opened twitter and saw this first thing, i'm really glad to hear new music from him. Can't wait to hear more, thanks for the new music Bryan!!

Covers old classic and simply makes them better than the original. He has being doing this since his first solo album in 1973 , `A Hard Rains A Gonna Fall`. Half a century later and it still flows.
This is a great version of a classic that could easily be got wrong. No problem for Ferry. Good Luck with the 50th anniversary Roxy Music world tour. Support act i see is the brilliant Saint Vincent. That`s a great night out for sure.
When I first head him sing You are my sunshine all those years ago i was completely hooked. My admiration has never dimmed. He is the master of covers and when he finds the right one such as this it is truly magnificent i always put him into two categories. Roxy and Ferry. I like both but I also like the fact that he s practically the only one who is doing this kind ofmusic. Standards which will never ever go out of fashion and which makes most of today's music disappear into thin air.
