The dd+ best wheelbase ive tried in a long time. Its on the simucube ultimate level imo. It isnt as strong but its stronger then people would expect. Its actually 20nm peaks and 15nm holding torque. The details are very close though I cannot wait to see the firmware later. I wish you were able to test the dd+ its shocked me so much at its power snd detail. People can talk crap about about fanatec customer service and the other stuff going on all they want. But one thing i cannot deny is these new bases are next level good and I cannot imagine when the enable full force. Either way it isnt even needed lol. You really have to think about the dd1 ans dd2 on realese they needed so many drivers to make them good. These the dd and dd+ are so incredibly good out of the box. Thats rare for fanatec. Also btw they said the dampening will be taken care of. So will be even better. The dd+ you would have loved. Its peak is like 20 to 22nm. It has those really strong forces on the curbs you like. The differrnxe with the simucube are the forces arent as steady they just give them to you in instances. The fanatec its like the force is always there. Thats why it isnt as sharp most dont want sharp lol. Regardless love them for sure!
Received mine last week, but stuck sitting here with a thumb up my ass waiting for my wheel and pedals to come in (those were ordered 8 days prior to the base). At least from what I’m seeing people are happy with the product, I can’t wait to actually use it!
Yes, we have great printers, but also it really shows that the forces acting on the shaft are not that strong if you are using your wheel correctly. It was quite "bendy" though, and if I was to force it with one hand like crazy it would probably break.
I assume they will discontinue the DD1/DD2 naming scheme and release a Podium DD and Podium DD+ series with like 20 and 25Nm or maybe just a Podium DD with no lower strength model. Always take Fanatec marketing claims with a massive grain of salt. This is the same company who not long ago claimed outrunner motors were the best design for force feedback and are now back to normal layout servos. I don't believe for a second that their torque holds longer or more consistently than any other major brand, aside from Moza. It sure works though. Its amazing the number of people now claiming that Fanatecs wheel torque numbers are actually secretly higher than equivalent models from other brands.
I might be crazy but are you sure you were turning up the force feedback actual strength? Isn't the setting you changed the one that the higher you go the less clipping you will get. Kind of spreads out the ff strength. Wheel force is the setting that actually makes the force feedback stronger.
Been using the FOV Extender on my DD2 for a year now. Made a ton of difference. Love it. When will the extender/spacer for the Clubsport DD be available for purchase?

with fanatec price to performance isn't the only factor that you should take into account before buying, but couple months of waiting time for any random rma needs or wrong item shipments.
Is that a guaranteed? Every company has margin of error and risks. No one is perfect. 10s of thousands of people buy their products, I think they said something like 60,000 orders they received during just Black Friday sale plus what ever afterwards so even if 1000 people complain on the internet, these are small communities so it looks like it's a lot (it's not a 1000 different people, I'm even over exaggerating here), does that mean everyone is going to have to wait? What about about the other 59,000? People don't complain on the internet unless they have something to complain about so it looks like it's happening to everyone. It's not. I ordered during black Friday week and all my packages I got in less than 10 days. There were delays compared to normal but a couple weeks isn't the end of the world. People been waiting a lot time from other places too for their rigs, their sims, even Moza is taking 1-2 months and still trying to ship Black Friday orders. The minority of people will always be the loudest. So you will disregard price to performance, good products all together because there is a very very small chance there might be delay and very high chance you will get it in acceptable time? ok.
It is taking more than two weeks, actually I am now waiting for a reply to my email for one month, I sent it 3. of December. This is inexcusable for any company, it is a total ignore and disrespect of your customers. I can understand shipping and logistical difficulties, but there are many other companies taking many orders and their customer service works fine. Any email should be addressed at least in a matter of few days. They are in the market for too long to be able to get away with something like this. Something like this might be understandable for a new player, a young company with no clearly established procedures.

nothing is poor with a SC2 pro, the game is poor, not the base, and for WRC 9-10-G a ts pc racer has a better FFB, like road feel, probably not coded for DD, any DD, and nothing is a bit better than SC2 pro/ultimate, nothing@@d.s.9753
It is not in my opinion. DD1 is almost double the strength and you can feel that. DD1 can easily be set up to to feel exactly the same as Clubsport DD but better because of more torque.
Honestly at this time, I would wait for DD3 if you can hang on a little bit more. I am on a high end of things, and after having Simucube 2, I would just miss the punch and headroom it has, but if you never had a DD as strong as that you could be perfectly pleased with Clubsport DD, as I said in the video, it is a very solid base for the price.
15 Nm holding torque is IMO enough from using a SC2 Pro. I also doubt there will be a DD with more torque coming from Fanatec because I doubt that Sony would allow it. Fanatec might be already too high with the 15 Nm and this could be the reason they didn't get certification yet. According to this torque-curve on the website the peak-torque can be already much higher.
It is, but in some cases if engineered properly plastic can be extremely durable and have great longevity and same performance like aluminum. I believe it will hold. Hope they will make aluminum front and back for the more premium and stronger version of this base.
Actually, if Fanatec would sell you parts for your own repair, they could make more money and margin from their parts, also that would reduce the amount of RMA workers you need and would flatten the costs of HR. So therefore there must be an other reason, why they don't sell you parts, than "making money", since doing RMA and having RMA workers is losing money.
I disagree, they sell you the parts when they service the wheel anyways and take good money for servicing hours. This way they make more money and very often force you to buy new base because old one is not worth the servicing cost that makes even more money. This is the way they hold you in their eco system because you have wheel rims already. In my opinion they should sell the parts for this base as it is super simple to service (compared to DD1/DD2 where I can understand not allowing service due to complexity). The motor it self will never die, everything else is very accessible and easy to replace. I believe even if they do sell you the parts many people will still chose not to service it by them self and still use regular servicing Fanatec offers. In the long run they would up their reputation as a company that cares about customers upping their sales and making even more money. This is just very bad management on their side...

You misunderstood. Maybe I wrote it clumsy, they are not forcing you directly but indirectly because you probably already have a couple of their rims and you must buy a new base to keep using them.

No, the force was 100% in the wheel base settings. I was turning the force up or down in Iracing menu, this is how it should be done.

Unfortunately we had to drop extension for the CSL DD because of the plastic shaft. It is not supported.

This is disappointed that the shaft ball bearing is mounted on a plastic plate , although this is club sport series
