- I have finally found the solution to my dry hair! It's been in my face all along, but I haven't been doing what I should to keep my hair moisturized. Today, I'll be showing you how I got these moist mini-twists using the LCO method. I will be using this method from here on out to maintain moisture in my hair as well as prevent less breakage and promote length retention. This is the best my hair has ever felt!!! I hope you enjoy!

Low density
Substitute water with rice water...your hair will grow amazingly fast and will give you all the moisture you need! Add some peppermint and lavendar oil aswell to make it smell nice and add in helping it grow! My hair is similar to yours but alot thicker and coarser, my hair has grown down my back now!

I have been mini twisting my hair this way for about a month and I love to braid the root and twist the rest of my hair. It also makes for a bomb twist out too. Thanks for sharing this method!!! Your hair is so beautiful!!!

I had twists the whole quarantine and despite spraying my hair regularly my ends tended to dry out. So I tried the baggy method every night (just putting the plastic on my ends, not necessary reapplying water or product every night) and it works soooo much. No more dry ends since then. ( I have low porosity hair)
I have low porosity hair too and my ends are ALWAYS dry!!! So thanks for this tip.✨

For me it's my scalp. How do you keep your scalp moisturized?
Leticia NK I don’t know how to « moisturize » the scalp. I only know that if you want to include the roots with the same method you can wrap your whole head with a plastic bag, with or without product, and you benefit from the heat from the scalp in bonus. Just be careful to not overdo it with water in your hair because you might get fungal infections for having a humid scalp for too long. Glad I could help, it changed my life so far and don’t forget to let your hair breathe during the day.

My hats off to you on twisting your own natural hair. I don't have the patience for my 4C natural hair. I do nothing to it but take down my protective styles for my stylist. I may wash it to prevent paying extra money. You are saving yourself tons of coins by doing your own hair. Excellent job sis.

This is the exact style I did religiously the first 2 yrs after my big chop. It's one of the best ways to retain length. I truly believe that. I also have the same dry ends and mine split too. So annoying. I'm trying to give my hair some extra TLC with the moisture as well. Twists look bangin!!!

Awesome tip on braiding a bit before twisting! Your hair is so deliciously moisturized and shiny!! I prefer the LCO method myself.

Water can actually end up being more drying than moisturizing. A great option would be using Aloe Vera Juice a pure game changer. Plus just an FYI you can also begin to incorporate essential oils into your skin care regimen to remove acne scars. A few great options would be Rose, Carrot Seed, Tea Tree, and Lavender. They all work wonders in that department.

girl my ends were JUST like yours last week. none of the moisturizer or water will wont rlly work for the ends . you have to trim them. while i put my hair in twists i trim my ends and once i took it out they feel SOOO HEALTHY and never felt better!
Jaikara Lewis agreed. Ssks/split ends make your hair feel rough and dry no matter how much product you apply
Your twists are beautiful. Like the braid step. I stopped watering my twists because it's too drying even when I followed up with oil. So I just started applying moisturizer instead.

My 4C hair hates castor oil. It makes my ends feel like straw. It depends on the person though.

Instead of rubbing the products on the twist just squeeze them into you hair. Like if you add oil to your hands and then grab a section and squeeze it in instead of rubbing, that will help with frizz

Your hair is stunning.
I wouldn't use that brand of olive oil though, if you read the ingredients you'll see it isn't pure and has things in that don't help.
Bentonite clay is always good for length retention also look into ayurvedic products.
I hear you on those dry ends😳 my hair is corn flake, cornhusk, potato chip dry and as soon as I started focusing on my ends and wrapping them up…. I have been able to maintain my length since being natural😊👍🏾👍🏾

Do you tie your hair back when you sleep or just leave ur twists down in a satin cap? Also, when did you wash your hair last relative to installing these twists? Asking details so mine can look as juicy as yours :)

I braid and twist when I make them small. Try using Castro’s Oil, or Shea butter just on the ends 🤔

Some advice for your ends, after hydration and moisturising you should add some grease to the ends as a MEGA SEALENT so they wont get dry. only thing is your gonna need to wash your ends because the grease behaves as an occlusive. Just as no moisture/hydration can leave, No moisture/hydration can enter!! hope this helpsss💗!!

I don’t like doing this on wet hair bc of the shrinkage so I wash my hair the day before and leave them in braids overnight then twist them the next day that way I have length . And I also add beads I got from amazon .
Ya I'm always envious of people who can wet their hair before doing these kinds of styles. My 4c hair plus crazy shrinkage won't allow.

I just installed mine today. I really don't care about shrinkage, I actually love it because I love short hair. I just want to be able to leave my hair be for some length retention, so I'm thinking about repeating this process every 2 to 3 weeks.

Mini braids all quarantine. Been like this since April 15, still wash weekly but gonna keep going till work open back up which I expect that to be around June, July the latest.

How are your part so perfect I can’t I tried so hard 😩 let’s not talk about texture mines in the front middle sucks big time so loose I always have to twist that section first and still can’t get them fluffy and juicy like the rest of my hair 😩😩
Always enjoy your vids. I used to do mini twists as a child, but just did them for the first time as an adult during this quarantine, and I’m loving how light and moisturized my hair stays the entire time with very little effort.

I’m tryna go on a lil hair growth journey too and came to the realization imma need to put the big fro on the back burner😭 I live for a big ass fro but it’s hard to put moisture back into it while keeping that length & volume🤦🏾♀️ Ig I gotta prioritize🤷🏾♀️ been switching back and forth from mini twist and braids and it’s going well👍🏾 although mini twists are rlly makin me deal with being comfortable with my shrinkage😬 it’s a process😂😂
