    Guys, you are awesome! I don't know how you test that amount of cars and upload so many videos. You're great and so is the community. You should have a lot more views and subscribers, you work very hard! Sometimes, the reviews can get a bit long, and I can't watch all your work. Congratulations!

      +Miguel Berghs Truely said. But i buy some time out of my busy schedule to watch those long reviews as well (most often at midnight :P ). Hahaha!!! But indeed they really do super extreme work to let us be informed and updated of the latest happenings in the auto-world. And the USP of Autogefuhl reviews are that their reviews (long or short) are consistently entertaining as well (congrats Thomas), so that long reviews doesn't gets boring which is in itself a challenging work - because i've seen many other long reviews by other channels, which are like fiasco and believe me it make sense that how tough work Thomas and the whole crew members do to keep video reviews informative, detailed and entertainingly captivating!

    Ah, Thomas sliding through the snow again! And your cameraman was light on his feet, making sure he got out of your way, too! :-)
    I really like this car. Looks great with nice elegant lines. The sensor in the front grill does stand out like a sore thumb though, they should find a better solution for that. And I agree with you, that a little chrome around the side windows will look better on a car like this.
    The interior, when configured a bit differently, for example with a light interior and some wood, is quite nice too. The boot only seems half finished, which is disappointing. But I will forgive the car, for being so beautiful overall. If I am ever kidnapped by gangsters and they throw me in the back, I hope they don't drive an XF.. :-)
    The all wheel drive system seems to work quite well, I liked seeing how these different modes make a little difference each time.
    But the best thing about this car is that magnificent sound! One of the best sounding 6 cylinders for sure.

    It's always a fun and hugely exciting watching Autogefuhl reviews. The video quality and the picturisation is unmatched and unparalleled to any other! And believe me we too had the same amount of fun as you had on snow (though in our imaginary virtual tour :P ). The only string attached to this video - the alloys doesn't look as great as the other XF that was reviewed earlier. Especially it's the top end variant of XF so was expecting that this one should be getting the special design alloy which Jaguar had showcased in its launch preview of XF. Also 10'' screen and chrome alongside window would have been a welcome accessories in this top spec XF.

    Bravo, Thomas.
    The front grill badge? I thought someone forgot to peel off the protective plastic cover like you have on a new iPhone for instance!
    I love the overall body style. The (yet another fake!!) side intake on the front quarter panel looks out of proportion (aside from being a falsie...). Very distracting but only a picky observation on an otherwise lovely car.
    The red colour looks amazing. Especially in the winter wonderland backdrop.

    Excellent review Thomas as always ! It is an interesting choice to the german trio, except the slowly navigation, full genuine leather seats and the cheap release mechanism for the rear seats .
    Speaking about the ESP , I've seen to the latest cars, that only big engines have an ESP button inside the car, but for the cars with smaller engines, doesn't exist an ESP button .
    What do you think Thomas, the ESP button is available just for bigger engines or sporty cars?

    Thomas this is a supercharged engine not a turbo charged!
    I own the XE version of this car and it is quite spectacular. I also drove an XF and to be honest I do not see major differences between them, especially in the quality. The XF is quite a bit more expensive and I am not sure why when it does not offer so much more other than a bit of space.

    Great review but I'm so disappointed with the new interior. It does look nice but where are the 'space' elements. With this current setup it really does remind me of a Golf, which isn't bad but from this brand you'd expect something else. The car looks beautiful though.

    I love jaguars but I have to say that this car has some major flaws. First off, at this point I don't think the interior is acceptable anymore considering what Mercedes and Audi are doing. The rear also looks unfinished, and cheaper looking than the front. Anyways, great video!

    I always enjoy watching your reviews they are so in depth and show you everything about the car. keep up the good work :-). not very keen on this new jaguar design? the xe and xf are too geared for company car drivers and not for private ownership... lots of plastic. that adaptive cruise grille is hideous and the rear is unfinished and very flat. overall not what I expect from jaguar? just purchased a 2010 xfr and find it far better looking and better proportioned with curves and lines that flow...my opinion but I do feel Jaguar is slipping into the common face market with everything looking the same which is a shame.

    Overall design is really nice. It's like combination of dynamic and classic lines. But, there is a little doubt about interior. They made a statement about interior quality improvement, but in 8:36 we still see the same problem like in your 1st review. The plastic panel under start/stop button still looks like it was imprecisely assembled, or like it feel off like in your first review of XF.

    The only parts I don't really like are the releases of the rear seats in the boot/trunk, the quality of some of the buttons and that's it. Also, when we saw the F-Pace, it had the little plate for the cruise control on it and I thought it made it look a bit better, but I can see why people wouldn't like it because it is at the end of the day a bit of plastic on the grille. But good review once again :P Also I don't like the little panel above the speedometers, I much prefer it when that isn't there because it gets in the way of the swoop and I quite like that feature.

    Rear seat release pulls from the boot? Old technology and a cheap fix. When you look up to where the rear seat release pulls are situated! you actually see paint? Not even covered with cheap rear boot space carpet. Nice test that has revealed some trim still needs attention.

    If you were given a choice between new XF and Audi A6, which one would you prefer? Audi might be looking like some space age design but Jaguar is more detailed and advanced from underneath - especially all Aluminium body that has serious reduction in its weight with increased rigidity in its body structure and which is actually smart move to boost performance. Though you might have your personal bias towards Jaguar because it's the one car that you also own (hahah). But since, now i own Audi (bought 2 months back) i have a little bias towards Audi... LoL :P . I've asked this question just to know if i haven't made any mistake by buying A6 - being carried away by the Audi's brand - much hyped for its most technologically advanced car. And of course the design language as well which has many admirers. Or should I've waited for XF, because it hasn't been launched in my country till now!

    • @autogefuehl
      @autogefuehl  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Sudhendu Kumar Well the A6 is way more refined, especially in the interior. Both are fun to drive. The XF feels more agile to me, feels smaller. And so much more emotional

    • @LuvvSURYA
      @LuvvSURYA 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for clearing my doubts or rather my guilty of considering Audi. I guess that i'm satisfied with my decision. But anyway its the rule that newer generation will obviously be better than today's segment leader. Isn't it? But for now, am not disappointed over my decision. Thanks once again :) .

    • @autogefuehl

    Hallo Thomas, thank you for presenting another good review. Probably getting bit bored with this snow driving. Hey, but it's just me. On a different note, I am bit disappointed with almost all auto makers in competing with each other in bhp, ps race. I just don't understand who would need more horse power engines when they can't drive more than 130 kmph except Germany. In addition, they consume like hell and pollute. Shouldn't the companies more focus on alternative energies, less consumption, value for customer? Rather than fancy horsepower engines. A 200 ps engine can easily take you to 220 kmph. But why 300 ps? As a auto journalist what is your honest opinion? Yes I like spirited driving, I stay in Germany.

    • @autogefuehl
      @autogefuehl  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Sreeharsha Kaligiri yes indeed. Of course some powerful combustion engines are still fun and the sound can be thrilling. But honestly, it is meanwhile time to proceed to head over to CNG, electric drive and fuel cell. That race for more and more hp has to stop. V6 is in comparison quite harmless if you see that BMW just released the V12 version of the 7-Series ...

    • @aryapradhanad186
      @aryapradhanad186 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Arie Sudrajat It's different. There are two types of Four Wheel Drive, first part time 4wd and full time 4wd. In part time 4wd you have to engage it with a knob or a 4wd shifter(in older cars) but in a full time 4wd you don't need to do that because it's active all the time and you HAVE TO put a part time 4wd a car in 2H mode or it WILL BIND THE DRIVELINE but serious off roading you have to put it in 4LOW to engage the low range transfer case and it automatically locks the power distribution to 50% front and 50% rear without the need of a centre differential lock but in full time 4wd you have to turn on the centre diff lock in order to split the power 50:50 and for a harder off roading you will need a front and rear diff lock while All Wheel Drive you don't need to engage anything it's all automatic and you got 2 types of awd too the part time and full time awd the part time works if the sensor detects a slip it wills end power either to the rear or front (depends on the car) and when slip is not detected it will go to 2wd mode so fuel consumption is not hurt but in full time awd the system is always active and constantly changing the power distribution and some full time awd has a centre diff lock for added traction such as Audi's Quattro System. It's one of the best out there xDrive and 4Matic comes close though so there's the explanation.

    • @briananthony4044
      @briananthony4044 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      AWD is all wheel drive and 4WD is 4 wheel drive. So basically the same thing. How it is applied differs between brands. Subaru drives all 4 wheels all the time, but different models have different engineering solutions. Performance cars have the drive biased towards the rear wheels so in sporty driving the car feels like a rear drive car, but some power goes to the front to pull you around corners. Examples are XDrive BMWs and 4Matic Mercedes. Other cars have front wheel bias so the car feels like a front wheel drive car, the rear wheels disconnecting when not required to save on fuel, examples are the MB A class, Mini Clubman, most non performance SUVs, Volvos, etc. Throw in open diffs, mechanical locking diffs, electronic locking diffs, limited slip diffs, multi-plate, torsen, etc and it is quite a complicated subject.

    Great video, thanks! I commented on the last film about the contrast between Autogefühl's crusade against leather and their love affair with natural wood. I was a little provocative, and I downplayed the significance of animal cruelty. Sorry about that; how immature of me. However, I was shocked by the reply I got, which was dismissive and condescending. I probably deserved it though, so I just deleted my comment.
    Let me rephrase my thoughts: I think deforestation is as disconcerting as animal cruelty and it would be nice if you folks acknowledged that. Cows are indeed important but so are the thousands of species whose habitats shrink or disappear entirely when the trees they live in are cut down. Thus, I don't think you folks can argue that halting animal cruelty takes precedence over addressing deforestation, like you did in your reply to my last comment. Both are highly detrimental to animals and the environment, which is sad.
    Don't get me wrong - I love the look and feel of natural wood. But as is the case with natural leather, there are great alternatives. You can spec brushed aluminum, simulated wood, piano black trim, etc. As such, I have always been confused by the contrast between Autogefühl's concern for cows and your encouragement of natural wood. It seems a little hypocritical to condemn the former and endorse the latter.
    Nichtsdestoweniger - danke schön fur diese fantastische Videos. Ich bin immer froh wann ein neuer Film debütiert. Es ist klar dass ihr sehr schwer arbeitet!

      +Noah Covell Hey, thanks for considering. Sorry if that felt condescending, I am just stating it very objectively. I still believe that it is possible to use wood as a natural resource in a sustainable way and that it creates way less harm than aluminum for example (google aluminium production and impact on nature and you ll be shocked). Clearly there is no comparing of animal cruelty and using wood in general. But of course you got a point that mass deforestation is not only bad for the trees, the planet but also for the animals possibly living in that forest. So I think the goal should be to have a sustainable usage of wood which is clearly possible. But there can _never_ be a sustainable usage of killing mammals. That's the main difference. Think about it!

      +Autogefühl I totally understand! Wood can definitely be sustainable. I liked the way Fisker dealt with that issue via using reclaimed wood from riverbeds and forest floors, that was cool. And I'm not surprised re: aluminum production pollution, that makes sense. And the plastics I mentioned are likely no better (petroleum products).

      +Noah Covell by the way, just watched the great movie 'cowspiracy' , you should check that out. Pointed out again for example that the _by far_ main source of deforestation is the agricultural industry

    After all these years I don't know any modern Jaguar car by name. XJ, XE, XK, XS, XKR S, XJR S, XZASEDASE oh my god! Why Why not name them E-Type, F-Type etc? So much simpler. Sounds cooler too.
    Nice car though.

    • @nathanbeard8767
      @nathanbeard8767 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      There has only been the XE, XF, XJ and the now discontinued XK. Inside these ranges there are trim levels so for example Prestige, R-Sport, Portfolio and S. The same can be said for BMW with the 1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7 series or Audi with a1,3,4,5,6,7,8,etc. As for not calling them all E- Type and so on, the reason for this is undoubtedly because of the X-Type which isn't regarded as a good car by most due to its mondeo origins.

    Since there are no foglamps, they could have used that space for some sensors. Not saying all sensors could go there, but they could have made that ugly piece of plastic smaller.

    Jaguar have certainly improved the design and looks over its predecessor; it looks very good externally. But on the inside it looks very cheap, tacky and plasticky.
    Trying to compete with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the BMW 5-Series and my personal favourite, the Audi A6 is a fool's errand, in my opinion. It looks like an up-market version of a Ford Mundane-o.
    To be honest, I'd rather have the VW Passat (R-Line 2.0 BITDI SCR 4MOTION 240PS 7-speed DSG), than this Jaguar XF S.

      +miyahtallulah What is better looking, superior design and superior engineering? The VW Passat? Yes, I agree, the Passat is better on all counts compared to the Jaguar.
      The Jag' would make a good deposit when you go to buy the Passat.

    • @miyahtallulah
      @miyahtallulah 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +OldVillain people who buy Jags wouldn't consider a VW. Excellent (front wheel drive) car for sure, but essentially a German Ford. Audi likewise.

      miyahtallulah Ironic really because up until recently, Jaguar was part of the Ford Group and had a car based on the Mondeo platform.
