- A small delivery today which will be followed by a BIG delivery later this week. The channel also reached 2K subs, so I have that going for me.

Hi Anthony, I really like the crane it looks really cool and the one wagon I think I have in Yellow that I use for my crane 👍 the coach also looks cool too I would of love to model the continental trains but I’m too deep into uk railways now.
With the 2000 subs I would just like to say a big thank you to you and Joyce as your channel has made it possible for me to gain so many new friends over the TH-cam community and I feel the 2000 subs is in recognition of this.
To me your channel is not just your channel it’s ours too as it’s a place we all go to on a Friday to meet and chat. Once again thank you both for not just the channel but the community.

I would agree, my channel is "our channel"... a silly little pub of a channel where a few regulars come and have a drink and chat and hopefully feel good for a couple hours.
The biggest thing of reaching 2K is simply that, in going from 500 to 2K, we had more people come by and decide to stay and we could get to know them and make more friends. This has led to things like Tim in Newport, Philip Page, Allan, and the York meet-up or Australia, and so on. These are very, very happy memories that I would never change, other than to add more time to them.
2K is a nice new milestone, and I certainly won't demean it, but the livestream chats and the comments on each others' videos mean so much more.
Anyhow, we are forever grateful for YOUR support and positive vibes to our endeavors. It was an honor to meet you at York, and hopefully, we can see each other briefly in October (at Warley or GETS). Wishing you and yours a great day, week, and onward!

Congratulations. I do the same thing with fun items at Lippe. I always have a few "nice to have" items on my wish list for those moments an occasional pre-order comes in and I want to get a little more bang for my shipping dollar.
Yes, I always have a few things on the wish list to add to pre-orders. The funny thing is, all my preorders tend to arrive in Fall and Winter. Just in time for Christmas. lol

Hello, Deano dear friend! Thank you for everything... support and friendship! It is cool to reach another plateau, but all 2K means is that we had chances to meet more people and maybe find friends. When one is at 200, the thought of 2000 is both a seeming impossibility and a pipe dream. Then one hits it, and, for us, it has changed. 2K is not that different than 557 or 342 when you come right down to it. It is a point on a circular road. It is the people we get to really talk to (even if only through comments or live chats) which are important. All the best to you and your family!

@TwoRailfans Hello, and thank you very much. If you do like something and are not familiar with Märklin, just make sure you get 2-Rail versions (TRIX). Märklin is 3-rail, and the wheels are not insulated.
That small crane is an all time favourite, mostly seen in yellow.
For the cars, those are a design that pre dates the m-wagen. They were kind of a failure as the doors were unsafe if used on platforms in a curve. They are kind of a predecessor of the UIC vehicles.
The control cab can be used for some very interesting consists, as it is one of the few express control cars that was capable of running with steam locomotives.
A historical correct consist would be a Br65, 78 or a Wendezug fitted 38 with a B, AB, control cab consist in green.
Very interesting history and issues on the wagons. Obviously not something I would have known, so cool to learn a little.
I am used to seeing these cranes in yellow, and I would have bought a yellow one if available at this price. I could get the Rail-Work starter set all in yellow, but that is 3X the price of this little kit. This was cheap, and thus the only reason I picked it up.

Not sure about German trains, but English trains are often slightly different colours.

Hello, Mon! 2 weeks ago, I would never have thought of a crane, but I saw this on Ian's channel and looked at it, and the price was good. I have no idea how accurate these are to anything, but it makes for a nice change of pace. I will look into further pieces. These 3 wagons were really part of a younger person's start up set with loco, digital controller, and track. Maerklin just released the wagons as a separate collection for whatever reason. Take care!

Also some very nice new additions!! Btw: the Marklin cars are regional coaches (N-Wagen / Silberlinge) and the Fleischmann coach is an intercity coach... German rivet counters likely would frown on putting them together in one train anyways... not sure if that happened in the past... The Marklin coach with the baggage compartment and tail lights is also a driving coach. They were nicknamed Hasenkasten (Bunnycage) since the driver's compartment was so small....

I have had trouble distinguishing the IC ocean blues from the Regio Ocean blues. I knew the Fleischmann did not fit in (it also did not match color wise), just was not sure why. I really want a solid consist, whether intercity or regio, just not sure how to tell them apart as I have a mixed bag of cars, bot tinplates from the 70s and newer stock.
@@ModelTrainOutsider The regional coaches are usually only good for 120 or 140km/h and the D-Zugwagen (Express coaches) to 160km/h. The Intercity coaches are good for 200km/h....The n-wagen have the center doors where as the Express and Intercity coaches only have doors at the end. I tried to find a good page that shows them in direct comparison, but can't find anything...I will keep looking...
@chestytrains Oh, I know the difference in speeds, but when both are in the same livery... ocean blue and beige/ivory... it's hard for me, not having grown up over there, to distinguish coach make or numbering to determine the role of the coach. I have learned Silberlinge/N-Verkehr and such, but ERA, as Ocean blue and beige became a dominant livery is still hard to sort out.

I wish I understood why some channels can get 10K for nothingness, and great channels get 200, 500, 700 or whatever. I thought getting 250 was amazing, and then 500. Now, I am here and all that really matters is who I get to talk with.
