So padding , delivery fees and any other bucks if can profit What exactly do you think they have to use that money for they have a lot to pay for computer servers ,coders, programers, CEOs, customer service, shopper support, marketing teams , operations , accountants account managers sales teams multiple insurances for different things health insurance for corp positions injury insurances death insurance liability insurance ...... The list is endless and marking up your groceries is very necessary to keep an operation like this running and have also people that want to do this gig work . Really I'm surprised they are able to keep a company this big going ... Really when you start calculating lost product or customer retention or people who mysteriously never got the seven groceries bags left on front porch. Hmmm It's amazing they even exist still. Don't like what they charge don't use the service
I love, love, LOVE my Instacart shoppers. I hate grocery shopping and appreciate my shoppers. I tip very well and don't know what I would do if i had to go back to shopping for myself. I work full time and go to school, so my shoppers save me a lot of time and effort. Thank you!
Oversaturation of drivers/workers is the biggest and number 1 reason. Instacart and all of these food/delivery companies can keep lowering the pay because they know the orders will get fulfilled regardless of the pay.
Lots of batches are stacked together to get the garbage delivered and the fact that you only see distance from the store to the customer is just ridiculous!!
I’ve been doing Instacart since January 2017 in west La area !! And I’ve seen so many new shoppers and I lost most of semi good orders to the new shoppers everyday ! I want to quit because it doesn’t seem to be worth waiting in a hot car at Ralph’s parking lot all day waiting for a batch to come ! And when they finally show me something after hours of waiting . It’s either $8-$15!! And the new shoppers get $50+ orders ! It’s not fair for the ones who’s been doing this for such a long time !
Facts 💯💯💯 exactly what I said…I’ve been with them for over 5 years. I only shop when they throw me a promo. This week they threw me a $140 for 8 batches- so I did the minimum 8 batches and made $240 which is ok. Will also never do more than a 2 person shop or one store shop.
Don’t forget all the immigrants/illegals with the fake accounts and the BOT’s. So it wouldn’t be so bad in West LA if everyone had a legal account. It’s oversaturated in our area because of the fake accounts stating they live in a small town in another state and they actually live here. They even do it with Amazon Flex and then come and do IC after that. my neighbor told me how to cheat the system and she is from Turkey. So sad.
I gave it a try for two days. Believing some positive reviews. Heavy orders from Costco for two customers, took me over 3 hours to shop, including a case of 40 bottles of water which was heavy to put in the cart, it wasn’t easy to find some of the items and the customer wasn’t responsive, when I try to chat with them, then driving 30 minutes to drop off, and another 30 minutes to come back home, it was 94 degrees very hot and humid! And very stressful and exhausting!!! Well the pay was only $36 and some cents ? 😮 Mileage, gas, and the energy that I spend and the money they paid? Was it really worth it? No it wasn’t worth it. You do the hard work and they make the big money! And the customer benefits from this App! That’s just reality. Honestly, for shoppers this feels like a slave labor! 😔 but again, it’s a new experience for me!
Wow thats bad. I have been on the waiting list for 2 years. I do close to 90 bucks im 3 hours with doordash and uber. Some days uber hits me with the walmart curve ball for 40 to 120 bucks per batch. About 2 hour total work. And door dash has given me a constant 25 to 50 bucks a bath for a 1 hour work.
I don’t think of this a career. For me it’s a side gig when I need it. People are leaving because of several reasons, boredom, wear in their vehicles, they find new apps and a host of other reasons. This was never set up to be a career position. My market is still profitable. You get out what you put in. You do have to be strategic in your approach and know your area very well.
The new FLSA guidelines pretty much eliminate the independent contractor aspect of instacart. According to those guidelines and instacart’s policies suggest shoppers should be classified as employees instead.
@@mamakevgaming7093 Yeah, the company should have to pay mileage to the drivers at the very least. theyre getting off easy not paying fleet maintenence and insurance.
Now in 2024 the base pay is $4. per batch. plus you have to rely on tips to supplement your pay. this is crazy. instacart rakes in billions for its investors and shareholders while paying us pennies compared to what they get. there needs to be a change. that is why many are leaving to either better apps or back to their W-2 jobs. it is frustrating to a new shopper to see they do not even make as much per hour then a fast food/minimum wage employee does. i have cut way back and looked at the bigger picture. i have found the best times to shop on what days. now i have more free time and stress less. once you figure out what areas pay more, when and on what days, you will be better off. safe to say i do multi app. relying on 1 gig app is a huge waste of time.
In charlotte there are a bunch of immigrant groups sitting in publix all day everyday doing group jobs. I am pretty sure they purchased the accounts illegally too!
I have been gig working in Charlotte since 2013. It has become pure trash! Over saturated and customer tips are dropping fast because they use every platform from Uber to Spark. They order so many times each day that they no longer tip properly because of all the high fees these platforms charge the customer. Wish you all the best out there.
My sister works in the Bay Area. She works for a company that helps people find low income housing. A lot of them are illegal aliens. She said a lot of them do Instacart and rent their accounts. They have to pay a monthly fee to whoever owns the accounts regardless if they make money on it or not. It’s pretty crazy.
Not if you arrive at the restaurant just to find out that the order is not ready. Once I had to wait 30 minutes before getting the order. Other times I had to wait 10-15 minutes. I stopped doing fast food apps last year.
after ( in Henderson and las Vegas ) Uber Eats interduce 40% off food deliveries and more free deliveries ( you get paid $ 2 max ) and doordash and grab hub immediately matched there offer prices . my income dropped 50% with the most horrible offers i have ever seen .
I’m quitting next month. Been doing it for a couple of years. Been diamond since it started and almost 5 stars consistently. The bots are out of control. The store I’ve been shopping at for over a year I can’t get an order. As soon as it pops on the screen it’s gone. Less than half a second.
I’ve sat for the last two days and made a total of $22.63 and I’ve been doing Instacart for almost 5 years now it’s absolutely the worst I’ve ever seen. I’ve been a cart shopper and they make you restart. I have a 4.98 star reading I don’t know what else I can do to possibly get batches. I don’t know.
Same here… i’ve been with Instacart since 2020 before the pandemic began and during the entire pandemic. I truly believe that the people who have been with them longer should absolutely have priority to see batches and not a blank screen. Where I am at in Phoenix, Arizona. It is completely over saturated. They’re also offering $5 a batch which is insanely crazy that people are taking these breadcrumbs. I only jump back on when they throw me a promo. They threw me a promo of $140 for 8 batches this week so I did the minimum 8 batches and made $240 total which was OK- otherwise I refuse to do it anymore because it is absolutely not worth it at this point.
On Sunday only 30 dollars. Shoprite was super busy. Im in the parking lot. Not getting anything. While I watch those that ic shoppers go in and out. That was foul what ic did to you and me. Newbies getting the fat batches
I do Instacart full time I’m making money good money but it’s a lot of issues they need to fix customer service needs to update the way shopper communicaties if a problem occurs customers are rude as hell and entitled but it’s what you make it though I work 7 days a week no stress no boss but overall sometimes can be stressful
i agree. its over saturated but also thats IC's fault. all of the newer shoppers are taking the BS/JOKE orders because they dont know any better. add on to the fact that customers are scamming shoppers as well (bait and tip) the glitches that IC does nothing about.
I’ve been shopping since may 2023. 1500 orders. It’s gotten so bad since about June for me. So many shoppers. Clearly who do not speak English and seem like immigrants. It’s just an observation. I mean nothing racist or political by it.
It's not racist it's a fact. I see it too as well as the uber bikes. It's hard but I'm selective what i take... on a Saturday i can still clear almost 200 if i hustle. It's a nice side gig n But couldn't see myself depending on it full time.
Instacarts shoppers are quiting and I am frustrated by a waitlist. I was in retail for20 yrs. What you said makes sense. All businesses service oriented are wanting more for less. Just keep on doing your thing. Thank you
@@rb8913 yes the batch pay is so bad now ! I had to climb to 3rd floor two times at college apts yesterday and when I saw the batch pay I was amazed it was like 5.56$! Thank God customer tipped me like 15$ but it seems the bigger tip you get the less instacart thinks they can pay !Now you can’t even see the address either before you check out to that’s not fair !
@@THEPETKNOW Also, when you sign up, it starts you out with like the lowest tip percentage that is horrible. Why can’t they take that off there, why wouldn’t they pick that if that’s what they first suggest!
I get annoyed cause all my batch pay is lower but if you are a new shopper you see all the best orders ! I have had some batch pay that is like 4.98! What in the world
Today was the worst week of 2024, No batches at all, I have 4.90 n I usually get batches here n there but this week absolutely nothing, something definitely changing 😞
I’m in NY. I tried it for 2 weeks and I don’t think it’s worth it. I did 8am to 8pm on fri sat and sun only made alil over 100 daily. It’s exasperating when customers don’t communicate. A lot of time wasted waiting on their response. I think the pay should increase when the customer don’t answer their chat or calls
Truth is the entire market is over saturated and has allot to do with the million TH-cam channels... When delivery work wasn't as well known it thrived, now you got everyone and there momma doing gig work...
Everything said in this video is ON POINT! I am a Instacart Shopper on the verge of quitting because it is sooooooo time consuming for the low pay, there are way too many glitches with the app, and they don't pay enough for the stairs you climb, the multiple orders on a batch, gas you use, etc. etc. I could make 3x as much when I do Lyft or DoorDash for way less time.
Please take a minute to flip berry containers over to see if they are moldy. I know time is money but think of it like you are shopping for your mom. Thanks!
Pay is so low it isn't worth doing, by the time you add up complete time, mileage, fuel and insurance cost you make almost nothing. This doesn't even include people using cars that are financed. You're better of getting a job even if it's for minimum wage like Burger King, some kids are making $16 an hour after school & weekends with no fuel or insurance to pay for.
The base pay is lower I have seen orders as low as $2.50 and that's this week in October 2024. Before then the lowest pay that I saw was $3.87 for the base pay so it's going down more and I know customers are paying at least $10
Yes I think it started getting oversaturated by the time I saw your first vid tbh. All the changes and current migrant crisis and instacart “gangs” keep the app stagnant
I did instacart and other apps for 6 months full time, and it wasn't worth it in my area. I believe that in my area, it is better as a side hustle instead of a full-time job or a career. The base pay is yoo low and the tips are extremely low for all the work a shopper needs to do.
Are you aware there is a zone where you shouldn’t be shopping in or you are not given credit for delivering out of your zone. I was not aware of zones This is not fair I received 2 batches in my zone. But delivery was 15 minutes away in another zone. I called to see why I was not given credit for the batches. I was told I was in another zone🥹🤦🏾♀️
Even priority access at a higher level is a crap shoot. I used to do 300 a week in instacart. No more maybe 100 a week. Now I do a short trip low miles low items or shop onlyband leave at store. I am not being a water bearer for many miles. I too notice all the double and triple orders. Hell no.
It's the customers also 😮 Why am I being marked down on compliments for replacements when I'm asking the customer sending pics of replacements and all of a sudden they have amnesia about their selection and I guess I went off on a tangent and picked whatever myself 6 yrs is long enough for me I'm moving on I liked being about to work when I wanted to but fighting customers on their product selection is not what I'm about to do just choose a back up item when placing order how hard is that can't understand it then u won't receive items u don't want tipping 50 cents, $1, $2 is utterly ridiculous then you wonder why your orders sit half of the day no one in their right mind is going to move there vehicle for that when half of the time customers are ordering half of the store make it make sense.
I think this is over dramatic, you can fit 80 items in a single cart easy, if you know how to be organized it is not stressful at all. The pay going down is annoying yes, but I only take orders with tips, that pay $2 per mile or more, so when they lowered the batch pay it didn’t bother me much, I was never going to take a $7 no tip or what makes you think I’d take a $5 no tip order. If you are taking this shit you are part of the problem, they will keep lowering the pay as long as people keep taking shit orders, I’m making $1,200 a week in a medium sized city, I have liver disease, and blocked arteries in my legs, but I can still support my household
Some shoppers are dishonest. They take the item from my order and say that they forgot the item in their car. Instead of returning this item to me, they ask me to ask the refund from Instacart. It's cheating!
I honestly could handle all the other cons of instacart if it weren’t for the low pay. Most batches I get aren’t above 10$, and I have been doing it for years with great reviews. When I see a good one 15$+ at my neighborhood store, I’ll take it but some days those orders literally don’t exist. I can go a couple days before I see a batch worth 30$+. A lot of shoppers dropped out once they lowered the base pay to 4$. Batches under 12$ (unless they’re small and easy) are not financially reasonable to take. Economy is so rough not even the new shoppers are taking the trash batches, so they sneakily group them with a higher paying one.
Definitely oversaturated with shoppers in my area as well! It is so frustrating sitting around waiting sometimes for hours for an order at least in order that I would take. Some of these updates to Instacart does are just stupid. I thought I was seeing things this morning I don't know if anyone else has seen this but I just saw an order that was a 4 shop and deliver! That's what made me come on here looking to see if anyone had a video talking about it. Four orders now Instacart really I don't think so!? Like three isn't bad enough now they're going to try to add on a fourth one oh no no no not me. I'm grateful that I am a part-time shopper and a pretty much a cherry picker lol so I turn on the app and if I see something and it's good I'll go ahead and do it. But there's a lot of people that count on this as a full-time income and I feel bad for those people they're forced to take these ridiculous orders because they just have to make the money and they don't have the time to sit around and wait for an order. They need to do better they really do and treat a shoppers way better than they do! I'm curious if anyone else has seen a four shop and deliver order? I haven't seen anything on that no emails no nothing I just was blown away when I saw that!
What I don’t like is I delivered a order for $10? It was 6 miles away and then the customer has up to two hours. Take the tip away and she did last minute.
Very inconsistent pay. One Wednesday you will make 35$/HR the next $8. Even if your in the same area, same rating, etc. Too many Migrants From Venezuela using platform. They mess up orders and drive away big tippers
Your content is very solid! One thing you don't do, is respond to your comment section. As tedious as it sounds.. you should respond to as many comments as you can. This will not only engage your community, but also bring people back to watch your videos (bringing your adsense up significantly) if you actually responded to them. You don't even need to respond to this comment, but you should respond back to your other subscribers :) Just wanted to let you know. It would only help your channel. Keep up the good work though!
I do instacart fulltime and I will quit in the future. It has gotten so bad. The company does not care for there shoppers at all. We are just working for tips because the batch pay is so low.
I only do orders in my area small and close in distance to each other just to make extra I’m never doing some of the orders they try you with it’s crazy
Hate this company. I changed phones and it started nightmare of problems. They should lose every bit of business they have. Verification of an account is made so hard that it is impossible. Finding a new vendor.
Ppl are done in general with the gig work is worse than a 9-5 W2 the only realistic way out is to get a 25,30 an hours job sleep in your car and go full time on TH-cam as well so you can get extra money while you sleep, but even than, in my MY OPNION if the pay doesn’t match the duty is not even worth it, and in my world all my eyes see are 80 and hour jobs of course doing literally nothing, theres no job on earth that could ever force to work ever again, i made up my mind at age 17 thank god before 17 i was already homeless no parents i got shot i stab, but im here now retired in 85K luxury van with everything and i still have 800K in the bank and i aint touching it. Ever in my life.
I can only take one or two shoppers ..its gotten better though. Sprouts is the best your right i will only do 2 shoppers the most .3 shoppers is not worth it
They are quitting because the pay of $3.87 for 9/10 miles is outrageous. I'm a shopper and I love to shop so I like to get paid, if possible Spirit but the super long miles for this low pay is getting out of hand and furthermore they want you to do three shop orders no pay with a bunch of items that's outrageous that's this
Not only are shopper underpaid by Instacart, I noticed that people don’t really tip. They really should get their lazy asses up and get their own groceries to do us a favor.
Im have been doing instacart for almost 5 months, and all that you say is true, hence for that reason i just dont feel like doing it no more, sometimes i turn on the app and when you see a batch with 3 orders and more than one store adding the terrible pay, is just not worth it.
My problems seem to be algorithm related. I average $62-80 a day. I reached Diamond this week and have made $56 in the last 2 days. It’s the most discouraging, disappointing thing ever. It’s like it wants me to quit. I’m seeing way less batches.
They are pairing non tippers with good tipping batches. I have the agent take it off every time. It’s not fair to the shopper or the customer who actually tipped.
@@cherettebhealthynow1910 You usually get payed by % of the order. Look at the customer items and the cost of the items. Example If I have a 2 batch paying me $30 with 25 items Instacart is paying you $10 base pay Customer is giving you $20 Customer A has 2 items Customer B has 23 items Who’s probably not tipping? Or You get a 2 batch paying $19 for 63 items Instacart is paying $5 base pay Customers is giving a $14 in tips Customer A has 52 items Customer B has 11 items Customer A is the one not tipping. Remember your tip is based off % of the order. Customer A would have had to manually change the tip amount for the pay out to be so low. If it’s a 3 batch. Customer A 11 items Customer B 11 items Customer C 11 items. This one is tricky because they all have the same amount of items. Look on your map and see who’s lives in an apartment or a house. Apartments & men are usually more stingy with the tip. Sad to say. If one of the drop offs go in the hood. Thats a giveaway as well. You don’t know much time and energy and gas I saved using this. I get back to the store much faster. Instacart will piggy back bad batches with one decent paying order. If they ask why you want it removed. Tell instacart it’s a bad area and you don’t feel safe.
Today they had a promotion complete 6 orders get 60$ guaranteed. I did quick small orders to reach the goal I made 38.02$ and they sent me only 21.98 that = 60 I thought they would of sent 60 on top of what I made that's a bs promotion tbh
Did she not edit the video after she made it? She looking at the wrong part of the screen the whole time. That line tells me she’s a complainer not a doer. It’s like editing a paper. How do you not notice your looking at the wrong part of the camera the whole time 😂😂
not just instacart, all gig work is dying. better off just delivering for a courier company or doing food delivery services for a franchise that pays DMR + Base Pay + Tips.
Id like to add...all that driving... The cops are gonna get ya... Here in south Florida...they drive undercover in every car u can think of...its crazy... If youre gonna drive up my ass in an undercover car...yeah im gonna go faster and yeah im gonna run that stop sign and pray u stop driving up my ass.... Can u tell i got nailed the other day?.. haha
If this simple delivery system is getting you down, then I shudder to think of how bad ya'll perform in an ACTUAL work place, with real stress, people breathing over you, workplace politics, being talked about behind your back, expected to work your ass off, all day every day, given more work than you started with, not given the proper tools to complete your work, terrible training, etc, etc, etc. BOOHOO!
Never heard of instacart before...looking into it, I'm not sure what the point is. How did this become a thing? Oh wait they do alcohol delivery, that makes sense, it's for boozers.
The economy is as strong as it has been since the 60s. By far the strongest in the world. That's not the issue. Too many shoppers and batch grabber aps.
Yup in Minneapolis when I first started in 2019 Literally you could pick up 3 orders at a time at Cub Foods DID NOT have to SHOP delivery ONLY and it was insane. Delivery ONLY stopped after like 2/3 months however it was STILL crazy money Could make $100 before noon on 3 orders So easy to make 240+ per day. I remember smiling so much at the end of everyday. Making money with air pods in. -- However Nowadays?….. Totally not the same. In Minneapolis / St. Paul there’s ALWAYS orders but they are soooooooo much lower. I see $4 and $7 orders all the time But, every single day they do have $35.00+ orders a couple times an hour But yeah, the money isn’t ANYTHING like it used to be at all 🫤

Thank Biden.
@@sbeasley7585 and now harris is the border czar lmao
I can confirm illegals do that in New York too
It's so much easier to just pick up fast food and drive it somewhere.
I agree but you can make 3 times as much money in one day with Instacart and you don’t drive as much
@@yeahokbuddy2510 ok. Good point.
Not if you arrive at the restaurant just to find out that the order is not ready. Once I had to wait 30 minutes before getting the order. Other times I had to wait 10-15 minutes. I stopped doing fast food apps last year.
after ( in Henderson and las Vegas ) Uber Eats interduce 40% off food deliveries and more free deliveries ( you get paid $
2 max ) and doordash and grab hub immediately matched there offer prices . my income dropped 50% with the most horrible offers i have ever seen .
I’m quitting next month. Been doing it for a couple of years. Been diamond since it started and almost 5 stars consistently. The bots are out of control. The store I’ve been shopping at for over a year I can’t get an order. As soon as it pops on the screen it’s gone. Less than half a second.
Could you please tell what a bot is or does?
The influx coming into the US is a big reason why 😊😮😢😂
@@samuelakilakalua3134
In Canada we have an over abundance of Ukraines ruining any gig work.
@@TheRealtor247it’s a computer program that will take all the good orders and give them to the person that’s running the program
I also only made $24 yesterday this is crazy
You are right and one more thing is an fair raiting from costomer and if you complain about that raiting they don’t do anything
I reached Diamond and the batches are so booty I even wonder why I fought so hard for it
Same on all gig apps. The ratings and tier system is a fraud! Wish you all the best out there!
That’s the truth it seems like since I became 💎 all I see is 💩💩 now 🤷🏽♀️

Yes, it's always 10 extra miles and 50 more items for $1 more
I’ve been shopping since may 2023. 1500 orders. It’s gotten so bad since about June for me. So many shoppers. Clearly who do not speak English and seem like immigrants. It’s just an observation. I mean nothing racist or political by it.
Same in my area
It's not racist it's a fact. I see it too as well as the uber bikes. It's hard but I'm selective what i take... on a Saturday i can still clear almost 200 if i hustle. It's a nice side gig n
But couldn't see myself depending on it full time.
Facts 💯 just talking about this…insane the amount of illegals taking over the country…just saying…🤷♀️
Same observation. Broken english BIG orders. Half of the time they're confused or need help.
I mean...the bots don't help either.
Instacarts shoppers are quiting and I am frustrated by a waitlist. I was in retail for20 yrs. What you said makes sense. All businesses service oriented are wanting more for less.
Just keep on doing your thing. Thank you
I was on from 5am to 1pm yesterday (Saturday) and only made $63. In 2022, I remember making that in 3 hours
@@rb8913 yes the batch pay is so bad now ! I had to climb to 3rd floor two times at college apts yesterday and when I saw the batch pay I was amazed it was like 5.56$! Thank God customer tipped me like 15$ but it seems the bigger tip you get the less instacart thinks they can pay !Now you can’t even see the address either before you check out to that’s not fair !
this year ive noticed more rude customers and no more tip increases for going that extra mile.
@@THEPETKNOW
Also, when you sign up, it starts you out with like the lowest tip percentage that is horrible.
Because they are going out looking for jobs and no one is calling or emailing them back. So they have to make ends meet some how.
Do you have to change your vehicle insurance and pay $1000/yr, for it, in order to be able to deliver, in your area, like I do?
Door Dash as well as uber eats are saturated with drivers as well. I sit for 20 min at times waiting for orders and orders are getting smaller too.
It’s pretty bad in Texas some days it’s so slow I don’t get any batches for a long time
The base pay is lower I have seen orders as low as $2.50 and that's this week in October 2024. Before then the lowest pay that I saw was $3.87 for the base pay so it's going down more and I know customers are paying at least $10
It has its ups and downs. But I work a full time job and use it as a side hustle
At the end of the day this cant be done full time. Part time and cherry pick this is a good app but full time is a disaster
I totally understand.
Not at all in California .. been cashing out everydayyyy easy 300 a day 8-10 hours full time 2:55
Yes I think it started getting oversaturated by the time I saw your first vid tbh. All the changes and current migrant crisis and instacart “gangs” keep the app stagnant
How does an instacart shopper see a 20 dollar tip for a 200 dollar order 4 miles away?
I did instacart and other apps for 6 months full time, and it wasn't worth it in my area. I believe that in my area, it is better as a side hustle instead of a full-time job or a career. The base pay is yoo low and the tips are extremely low for all the work a shopper needs to do.
I used make good money 2022 now it’s 2023 2024 getting worse this year no money barley no badges either barely 🤨
Way too many shoppers!!!! And the ones that have 2 phones bull crap!
Instacart pays worse than food delivery for shopping in annoying supermarkets
Are you aware there is a zone where you shouldn’t be shopping in or you are not given credit for delivering out of your zone. I was not aware of zones
This is not fair
I received 2 batches in my zone.
I am almost done with being a customer myself.
Peoples needs are different and just because it works for you doesn't mean someone else is being over dramatic.
Wow! You nailed it all! Great vid!
Too busy trying to get a batch to respond
I do instacart fulltime and I will quit in the future. It has gotten so bad. The company does not care for there shoppers at all. We are just working for tips because the batch pay is so low.
I only do orders in my area small and close in distance to each other just to make extra I’m never doing some of the orders they try you with it’s crazy
Completely stopped doing large grocery orders unless the customers are tipping 15%
Tough keeping people around when $11.73 for 106 item shop and deliver is their best offer ..
Hate this company. I changed phones and it started nightmare of problems. They should lose every bit of business they have. Verification of an account is made so hard that it is impossible. Finding a new vendor.
Tip bait.
Other platforms taken on IC doing the same thing. What comes to mind is Walmart ( spark) and DD.
This is eye-opening! Thanks for shedding light on the challenges Instacart shoppers face. We sent you an email, take a look.
Sprouts is the best your right i will only do 2 shoppers the most .3 shoppers is not worth it
Perfectly said.
Never trust companies that turn off their youtube comments
Im have been doing instacart for almost 5 months, and all that you say is true, hence for that reason i just dont feel like doing it no more, sometimes i turn on the app and when you see a batch with 3 orders and more than one store adding the terrible pay, is just not worth it.
My problems seem to be algorithm related. I average $62-80 a day. I reached Diamond this week and have made $56 in the last 2 days. It’s the most discouraging, disappointing thing ever. It’s like it wants me to quit.
I’m seeing way less batches.
Influx coming into the US 😮😮😊😢
What is the best place to start intricart shopping
3 customer batches ,$10 ,37 plus items , 15 miles 😂😂😂 That’s the kind of shit you see in the app all day long
They are pairing non tippers with good tipping batches. I have the agent take it off every time. It’s not fair to the shopper or the customer who actually tipped.
How do you know which customers is tipping or not?
@@cherettebhealthynow1910 You usually get payed by % of the order. Look at the customer items and the cost of the items.
Example
If I have a 2 batch paying me $30 with 25 items
Instacart is paying you $10 base pay
Customer is giving you $20
Customer A has 2 items
Customer B has 23 items
Who’s probably not tipping?
Or
You get a 2 batch paying $19 for 63 items
Instacart is paying $5 base pay
Customers is giving a $14 in tips
Customer A has 52 items
Customer B has 11 items
Customer A is the one not tipping.
Remember your tip is based off % of the order.
Customer A would have had to manually change the tip amount for the pay out to be so low.
If it’s a 3 batch.
Customer A 11 items
Customer B 11 items
Customer C 11 items.
You hit everything, 100% accurate
I heard instacart recommended amount to tip is only $2. They should make it mandatory to tip at least 10%
And on top of it where I’m at it’s very slow
Instacart needs to show what customer tipped what
Did she not edit the video after she made it? She looking at the wrong part of the screen the whole time. That line tells me she’s a complainer not a doer. It’s like editing a paper. How do you not notice your looking at the wrong part of the camera the whole time 😂😂
And why are they getting away with using bots!
lots customers are cheap don’t like pay good tip 😏but they want free food but don’t want to chopping for themselves
Most customers are not wealthy people, remember that. Wealthy people have their personal shoppers.
yea I figured
All gigs are trash now!!

Let's boycott instacart.
Its difficult. Im just part time

not just instacart, all gig work is dying. better off just delivering for a courier company or doing food delivery services for a franchise that pays DMR + Base Pay + Tips.
Idk how people keep a 5 star rating. They are eating. Im not. Im 4.8
Id like to add...all that driving... The cops are gonna get ya... Here in south Florida...they drive undercover in every car u can think of...its crazy...

Very informative to me.
Yup in Minneapolis when I first started in 2019
Literally you could pick up 3 orders at a time at Cub Foods DID NOT have to SHOP delivery ONLY and it was insane.
Delivery ONLY stopped after like 2/3 months however it was STILL crazy money
Could make $100 before noon on 3 orders
So easy to make 240+ per day. I remember smiling so much at the end of everyday. Making money with air pods in.

However Nowadays?…..
Totally not the same. In Minneapolis / St. Paul there’s ALWAYS orders
but they are soooooooo much lower.
I see $4 and $7 orders all the time
But, every single day they do have $35.00+ orders a couple times an hour
But yeah, the money isn’t ANYTHING like it used to be at all 🫤
