I'm not entirely sure but I think that pillars also prevent respawning rocks and bushes. You could put them alongside the track to make railroad signs like "This way to ... Base" or "Watch out! Crossing Dinosaurs"

There is an awesome MOD that goes perfectly with scorched called Visual Storage. I think it would fit in perfectly with this series. It even has a crane you can pull your creature up to to automatically unload it and distribute items to storage.
I do have that mod installed (haven’t used it yet though cause all my single players keep crashing and not letting me back on, possibly to many mods but maybe something to do with me being on Xbox) it is a very nice and ascetic mod, definitely good for less heavily modded or even RP play throughs and Syntac has said he won’t add any mods to the series. But seeing as WildCard will probably be slow with more content after The Center, and with Center being a less focused map he may do a modded play through for Center
Vultures could be a good corpse harvesting option. They are not instant, but they help with preventing spoilage of the meat, and they are small and can fly out of the way. Set a few to all follow an argy perched above your pen and they will keep it clear.
I remember my first time playing scorched, I hadn't played since the breeding came out and wanted to try it. My very first mutation was twin microraptors with a blue neck. Gosh that was ages ago.

Just a suggestion, and I know it’ll be resource hungry, but what you could do is have two tracks running next to each other, one going in one direction - the other going in the other direction. You could also add places here or there to turn around and switch tracks. This would allow for using the fastest route to get to places (instead of having to go around the whole map to go to somewhere behind you) however I understand this would take twice the amount of time and resources.
While I can see your point in that, why not consider that the trains can just as easily reverse. Loops to turn around on the same track would also be just as effective. No need to build a second track save for if the other guys are running at the same time.
Pelayori's cryo storage mod is basically dino storage for ASA. Cryo terminal picks up babies in an auto trap, you can also kill the souls of the creatures inside if you don't want them.
You should start taming the naturally beautiful creatures you find to be staff in the town, like have them at the bar, or in the upstairs room, or in the town store
when it comes to parking your train, you should build a train shed that can hold several full trains that connects to the track before your station. Think old fashioned steam train sheds. While expensive, it would look awesome.
Syntac, to make your animal pen maybe blend in with the final town structures from afar (since your base will be nearby and in sight), you could try making a circus tent area with the walls as they are and a big peaked roof with a pole in the center to support. It'd be so hard to make, but maybe with some paint you could make thatch or metal look like striped canvas? Alternatively, a square tent would definitely be easier and still look silly and cool. Edit: now that I thought about it for 2 seconds longer, tek roofs have a good matte finished texture compared to everything else for cloth. You could totally (in 500 more hours) make a giant tek tent.
Syntac the rhino horns you got a few episodes back, those can tame mantis, get a male and a female and you dont need to hunt deathworms you can breed the mantis, no deathworms involved Edit get all the good colors you like and breed the colors into a good level
You should make a train base. One carriage can be the taming pen, then have am industrial one with the forge, chem bench, crafting table. Then have a mess hall eith friges, cooker and grill.. Then you can have a couple storage ones. Then you can have a bunker carriage. This would be something really unique and I'd love to see it
Heads up on the trains Syntac! You can add more than 5 carts! What you need to do is add a new train engine a bit aways from your other train. Add some carts to that engine and then unhook the carts. Take the engine off the tracks and back your main train with all 5 carts into the other carts and attach it. It will then be a train with more than 5 carts. At least until wildcard figures this out and patches it.
There's a mod similar to Dino Storage I use called Dino Depot, but unfortunately the developer for Dino Storage has temporarily retired and hasnt made anything for ASA last I checked a few weeks ago, so don't expect anything anytime soon from them. Dino Depot is almost a 1:1 remake from the ASE DS V2 though.
Our tribe made a Train Depot for our track that splits into different end tracks. It works pretty well for us. Pillars snap to tracks btw, and you can snap the foundations to the pillars if you want to make it precise 😊
Guys make sure to like so he sees this but I think u should make a train arena with guns and ballistas and all that kinda stuff and have a train war with the boys back and forth that would be sooooo cool
You should build a Departure & maintenance yard to store carts / train and you could have allot of forges to make metal in that building since train maintenance.
I think it's called SCS Dino Collection, it's basically a direct port of Dino Storage with the exception that soul balls cost the same as cryopods. I've been using on my server and it works great!
If Syntac is afraid of Megatheriums then my worst fear is Deinotheriums. Every single time I want to breed creatures and afk in my base. BOOM, giant elephant raids me 😂😅
Your train stop at your base might be problematic if someone drives their train to your base but then has to back up all the way because they can't continue through as your train blocks the way due to it's length. So since you're already considering making a new place to park it, personally I would suggest it. Also if you're going to make specific carts & parking for them I would also suggest having it so each park is next to each other so you don't have to shuffle them around. It is more work however.
My train station is a branch off from the main line so its not going to block anyone from passing by, they just cant park at my station when I have mine there (which will likely be 99% of the time because it'll make the town look cooler to always have a train at the station)
If you add some more walls on top of your taming pen you can tame 2 things in it. Drop in kangaroo, close trap door, then drop another creature in the second floor.

You could make the train split towards metal and crystal and obsidian to help further the train make storage smithy and forge to help smelt the metal to have extra train tracks
Dino Depot is the mod that I would personally call the spiritual successor actually. It's a lot closer to what dino storage did in ASE with the balls being crafted with crystal and being an actual round ball instead of a cryopod.

You could make a resource train car. With an industrial forge and an anky pen. Just take it up to the mountains and drop it off on occasions and a few hours later go get it and take it back home.
Idea for train: BATTLE TRAIN! Build one with mounted turret, ballista, cannon, etc. to farm the wyvern trench for talons and milk and eggs. You are going to build the tracks over the trench anyways to get to everyone’s base right? I know it’s hard for everyone to be online at once so maybe a day where you all take the train over and use ballista to kill them from the train?
2 Suggestions. 1 you can do a series like Snow piercer where all of you live on the train it keeps moving and never stops you have to jump and survive until it comes back. A primal chaos series
A few mods that you may find useful: Automated Ark (really just automates putting things away and some farming task but gives the ability to pull resources and a dino leash) Super Cryo Storage (This is basically Dino Storage v2 by someone else but has all the same features) Awesome Teleporters and Awesome Spyglass are now in ASA as well but I highly doubt you want those just putting that here for others

I actually managed to find a dark blue 142 hyaenadon. He now sits at my base until I decide to create a pack of them with my wolves.
I was truly expecting that Megatherium to just get train'd by the train... but then Ark did an Ark and let everyone surivive, oddly enough.
I wondered why so many ppl build their traintracks elevated; guess we now know why, damn rocks just respawn ontop of the tracks...
It's also just easier to not deal with uneven terrain and build elevated

While Dino Storage itself is not in ASA, there is Dino Depot, which is comparable in nearly every way and EXTREMELY customizable, big recommend.

You might have figured it out by now, but scaffolding can be used to support raised tracks and looks better than pillars.
I know, just easier to put down a few pillars for now, will work on aesthetics soon
