Sorry you had to go through the pain of doing it all over again, Syntac But what I think wild card should do is maybe have different colorations when you hop on the dinosaur detailment. Where like in green areas That's where you can go and as soon as it gets to the red areas. Don't get into them or you're gonna dismount I don't know But definitely think the taming method is very difficult.
U can do the Sand whirlpool to a giga and its based off Drag weight of the creature im pretty sure similar to Acro from Ark Additions i believe it does around 50k health to the giga as well.

Its not being around rocks that loses you control of the Fasso. You just lose control of the movement for a second or so after it hits a rock or tree. That's why when you are in a dense rocky area you don't have any control, it's constantly having collisions and resetting that timer
Btw Syntac, leveling fasola melee does work, it’s just hard to tell because of the armor breaking stuff it does (it can also be applied to anything that hits you)
exactly this ^ if you want to do good damage tests then a training dummy is kind of needed since they dont hit back so there wont be any armor shredd messing with the numbers
@syntac just in case, for the oasisaur to be able to do a fast easy tame, get a creature with 30k+ hp and depending on your taming rates, it could be as quick as killing 3 vulchers or 2 waves
When you hit something (rock, salt, metal and other stuff like this) while taming the fasolasuchus, it makes a U-turn. That's probably why it confuses you about not having control over it sometimes.
This ^ And every time you hit a new rock it resets the need to do a u-turn so in massive rocky areas you have “no”’control until it completes a full u-turn animation
@@Syntac tamed 2 of them today I noticed that every time you hit something it will always turn backwards, left or right is kind of a 50/50 from what i noticed but if you play around it turning backwards for everything it hits you can kind of control its movement in a way, and honestly stayed away from anything inland you can tame them with just the salt rocks much less stressful.
@@Syntac Oh, 100%, no argument here. Just when I realized when and how I was losing control, it made the taming easier, and I was hoping it would for you too. But yes, the fasola's love of unbreakable terrain is really dumb.
It's not even a case of 'losing control', it doesn't 'auto steer' either. It's just a simple U-turn left or right. When you understand that, it becomes very easy to manage.
That fullscreen of colour or curtain as i've come to call it is very common within the wyvern trench. It could be black, red, rainbow coloured and its gotten me killed a few times because i think i'm flying out of the trench when in reality i'm flying into a cliff.
I’ve experienced this a lot in caves in general, anywhere with dust or fog effects seem to have this issue. It was so bad I wasn’t able to see any part of my screen for a solid like 2 minutes as it just kept spawning on top of me. Really hope it’s not a problem for Aberration cause that’ll be complete hell
10:42 in my mind the reason you lack control in those tight areas is because if you whacked your head on something you’d wanna get away from that so every time he hits it, he’s trying to turn himself away from it and he ends up whacking something else so it just becomes a circle of trying to turn away from whatever he just hit
If you zoom in a bit on the map, you can actually see the salt patches out in the desert. They seem to have been placed all around the map at distances that you can (almost always) cover during a fasolasuchus tame. Yesterday I went all around the map just once, and was able to tame 4 fasos, all above level 100 wild. The reason salt works the best even though it's somewhere between rocks and metal for torpor, is because there are no walls or cliffs to dismount you at most of them. In total, I used 6 grenades to tame those 4 fasos.
hey syn just wanted to throw a little tip ride the creature into the sand dunes and go for salt deposits for now on its easily the best way to tame it its the easiest in my opinion
Salt is the way. There is a ton of salt in the desert. I mapped out several groups salt clusters( 2 chains consisting of 10-12 salt clusters) which made it easy to map a route. And I never had any trouble steering them. Aim with the mouse-he will make a semi circle when you hit something then you have control again. Easy peesy.
I'm so glad Syntac changed the thumbnail to be just the like deinosuchus one from the cluster, I was even gonna comment it at first, but part of me thinks he was planning on doing one thumbnail and changing it later all along just to stay true to the original titan devourer
That blue screen happened to me too (not just blue sometimes red and pink) it think it has to do with the fog inside the canyon where the cave is once I turned off fog it doesn't happen anymore.
As far as I gathered, after a collision you lose control for a sec or two. It’s part of the taming mechanic. You regain it quickly enough, unless you are in a high resource pop area. Then you will pretty much have no control until the resources are almost gone.
This is a semi usless comment now, but I remember I was trying to find the names of the tall formations around scorched and after so long I finally came across the name in a meme! “Butte, flat-topped hill surrounded by a steep escarpment from the bottom of which a slope descends to the plain. The term is sometimes used for an elevation higher than a hill but not high enough for a mountain.” - Britannica Also why are they called Butte? “The word “butte” comes from a French word meaning “small hill”. - Universe Today
I love switching maps to grab my gear from another map and some mounts but the game thinks I somehow am a new person and I don’t have any owning rights of my mounts and buildings. Such a great game.
He should. Everyone should. Volumetric fog is a terrible waste of resources, and most of the time causes a bunch of issues. Devs need to stop shoving it in their games.
I have found that taming them in the salt s in open desert allows you to clip corner nodes of patches...Then the open sand allows me to regain control...So most of the time you can pick one node off, and he won't drive through the rest...He just ends up wandering into open sand...Nodes near structures are risky tho...You can never gain control if you are resetting control bar on trees, and rocks consecutively
Syntac, the reason you are struggling with controlling the facola. Is because the way it works is that the higher the control bar is up, the less control you have over the Dino.
This is wrong. It just does a U-turn left or right every time you hit something. Control bar is just a representation of how much time you have left before it dismounts you. Nothing more.
Tbh am i the only one who thinks it would be cool to have a possibilty for the creature to be deformed as well as mutated? Maybe this has been considered but ive never heard anyone talk abt it lol Edit: it could have less levels than normal aswell
i believe a co mbination of falo and wolves should be a good team to kill deathworms. the falo can use debris whip to stun the worms and the wolves can kill them easily without taking to much damage
Agreed it’s a frustrating tame. Salt, Sulfur and bones are an ‘easier’ method as they are in the dunes and there’s less to get thrown from.. however you need to do a lot of prior work and scope out locations and use waypoints to make a path… in my experience max distance you can do between areas is 550m-ish
It was another great video from you but you should do buildings like crafiting place I mean its better if you organize your things more than leaving them open in town and it would be better if you build some kinda of hospital for breeding and leveling up
Payson tag it's not that you don't have any control if you lose control for a 10 to 15 seconds after colliding with a breakable object. So you might not want to collide with objects to rapidly you might want to hit them sparsely but close enough together to keep control. If the terrain permits.
