me too brother that's exactly what I said when I saw the movie lucky last night and laid it again and played it again and each time it just got more touching and more wise and it became part of my soul's evolution. I know I feel I have a heart connection with Stanton . Even though I have a polarizedperspective than Harry but I'll tell you every one's perspective is right for them. Nothing is augured or how did Harry say it crossword puzzle answer portend he couldn't pretend an auger if it bit him That's not his you know what it's right for himand I honor him for his expression the song volver was so beautiful I decided after hearing him sing that song I'm going to learn that song and I'm going to just randomly saying that song when it needs to be balanced and everything he's to be balanced again It's nature's weigh
I had 3 converstation with this beautiful human being ,it was 6 months before he died,he sang a song over the phone for me it was beautiful.he was kind a lovely.i miss you.

Thanks OP for posting this and whoever edited it. This helped get me through my divorce 12 years ago, helped introduce me to eastern religion, and continues to be an inspiration.
Truth in what he said.I seemed to have complete control over my life and everything was great.then one thing happened i couldn't control and everything collapsed.never recovered.
If anyone is interested in this type of speaking then check out the non duality speaker, Tony Parsons. Dean Stanton went to see him speak and read his books.
The word "God" has too much baggage attached to it for you to make your 1st statement. Harry Dean believed in Universal/Cosmic Consciousness, or That Which Is. It's not a separate, personal "God" like the one that many in the Western world adhere to. It's not Big Daddy in the Sky who promises apple pie by and by. Instead, It's the only thing that exists; all else is illusion. It's not omnipotent, but It is omnipresent & omniscient. We are literally in the dream, or perhaps the imagination, or something similar but unknown... of Cosmic Consciousness. Separate things only appear to be REAL, just as they do when each of us has a dream of his/her own. You are the Universe looking at Itself. Even some theoretical physicists have questioned whether or not we really exist. The purpose of it all is that Cosmic Consciousness wants to experience everything---the beautiful, the ugly, the good, the bad, & everything in between. That's what Harry Dean meant by "It's all a Cosmic Game.". Can any of this be "proven"? Of course not, spiritual beliefs are ALL a matter of faith...until you "die". So, enjoy your short "life", and relax. Happy Trails
@@beyondvger3682 Yes, I agree. The form of such manifestation might be imagination, or a "dream" of sorts, or something else (unknown to us while we're in it). As Alan Watts put it, "You are It" [the Ultimate Reality].
Man, what I wouldn't give to have a drink with this legend right now!

R.I.P Harry. Brett: Right
Has Brett passed away too? He was the sidekick.
Similar to the speech that Dennis Hopper gave in Apocalypse now.

He never believed in God. I understand that totally. The world is just absurdity.

do you have any more information on this or what this belief is called?@@ScottHaley12
@@ScottHaley12 The 'natural' state of universal cosmic consciousness is 'infinite manifestation'.

Boo hoo
i hope that this sad man accepted jesus before he snuffed it
There’s absolutely nothing sad about what he’s saying
Why?
